Cobblestones ‘neath my feet
The beat I take through bright cold air
Compares to my first steps of wobbles and winding
Finding myself veering from the first intended course
Until I’m brought somewhere new and unexpected
Only two feet to the left of where a walker is meant to be
But definitely do I witness a new world entirely than I would have seen
Should have seen, should my path have been straight and easy
Free of those many ups and downs
That now have brought me here
