有一次，我收到一封工作電郵，上面寫着：

Herewith our quotation for your consideration.7738Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡb0aSBqzvpf
隨函附上我們的報價，供你參考。

這句看起來很正式，也不難理解，但嚴格來說，它少了一個動詞，所以文法不夠完整。

如果想寫得更自然，可以改成：

Here is our quotation for your consideration.7738Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡyNOwgHqUPL
這是我們的報價，供你參考。

或者：

Attached is our quotation for your consideration.7738Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡFI1ft14Uf6
附件是我們的報價，供你參考。

herewith 和 hereby 都有「特此」的意思，常見於法律文件、合約或正式商業書信。不過，herewith 感覺比較傳統，現在日常電郵中不一定需要使用。

如果真的想用 herewith，可以寫成：

I enclose our quotation herewith for your consideration.7738Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡLtOjMYG2dg
我特此附上我們的報價，供你參考。

不過，這句裡的 herewith 其實有點多餘。即使刪掉，也不影響意思：

I enclose our quotation for your consideration.7738Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ5a2YOCwmXC
我附上我們的報價，供你參考。

至於 hereby，通常用在比較正式的聲明或宣告中。

例如：

I hereby confirm my acceptance of the offer.7738Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡKAecNJbbVb
我特此確認接受該錄取／邀請。

We hereby terminate the agreement.7738Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡv6e8cITmQu
我們特此終止該協議。

可以這樣記：

herewith = 隨函／隨信附上7738Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡhiTmeWZoak
hereby = 特此聲明／特此確認7738Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡmredFNUbi0
Attached is… = 附件是⋯⋯7738Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡIzMp7ay0DR
I enclose… = 我隨信附上⋯⋯

在一般工作電郵裡，不一定要用 herewith 或 hereby。很多時候，一句簡單的 Attached is the quotation，已經比老式寫法更清楚、更自然。
