"And the winner of the three year's branch is Anas!" Principal Dominic announced, the crowd cheered, surprised by Anas' performance and victory.
"My suspicions were correct. Doesn't take a genius to figure out the outcome," principal Agnus said to herself.
"Haha, you lost the bet. Hand me your sword, big brother," princess Corolla said to prince Drake with a smirk. He tossed his sword to her as he got ready to fight Anas.
"Hey, thanks for your help in my bet. I knew I could trust you," princess Corolla whispered to principal Agnus.
Prince Drake leapt down to the arena floor.
"You are currently weaken and injured. It's not safe to fight me, someone who is a diamond ranked mage at 23," prince Drake commented.
"Nah, I got this," Anas said as he covered his injuries with sapphire.
"That's not going to last long, but if you're that stubborn, then so be it," prince Drake said as his eyes glowed black. Anas flinched at the sight of prince Drake's eye colour.
Suddenly, two black wyverns flew and landed in the arena. Each one is the size of a farmhouse, Anas, looking at them, thought to himself that there's only one way to have a chance at killing them or at least injure their wings.
The wyverns flew up and were going to dive bomb Anas, but right as they were meters away from him, he used whatever magic he had left and created a sapphire avalanche, similar to the one he made during his assessment test with Ms T. As dust and sapphire shards scattered and faded, both wyverns were destroyed. Prince Drake was shocked at this scene.
"He destroyed my charcoal wyverns that quickly? Just who is this kid? Isn't he drained before that?" Prince Drake questioned as he looked on. Before he could ask Anas, he fell on the ground, half fainted.
Just as Nex, Karasu and Echo were about to help Anas back to the infirmary, a massive gate formed on the ground. An enormous hound with three heads came out and barked loudly.
Just as Anas was about the fainted, he managed to warn the three boys.
"It's Cerberus, a raid boss. Raid bosses only come out for a raid gate. A Cruel must be strong enough to defeat it in order to summon it through a gate. Best way to beat it is to blind it," Anas said before he passed out.
At the top of the arena wall, Glaive was there looking at the scene unfold.
"Let's see how you fight my pet," Glaive said.
Back down on the arena floor, Echo carried Anas' body away as Nex and Karasu prepared to fight Cerberus.
"What are you two boys doing? You aren't strong enough!" Mr Blaze said as he flew down.
"We have to do something, we can help blind it," Karasu said.
"A raid boss hasn't appeared for over 2 decades, this is way above you levels!" Mr Blaze shouted.
But before any of them could escape, Cerberus charged at them and prince Drake. Both prince Drake and Mr Blaze moved in. Mr Blaze used Inferno while prince Drake used his own named attack, "Charcoal Devastation,"
As a pillar of fire and five charcoal wyrms collided with Cerberus, it wasn't fazed at their attacks.
Before it could launch a blast breath from each of its head, principal Agnus flew towards it and she chanted "Ultimate technique: Gravity Crusher!"
Two of its heads were pulled at and crushed under the pressure while the last head only had half its head intact. It whimpered in pain as he shot a blast breath towards the crowd, Nex and Karasu used bones and blood to block the attack, but they were slightly burnt in the process.
Principal Agnus didn't slow down, she chanted, "Ultimate technique 2nd form: Gravitational Prison!"
She send a giant orb into the sky, akin to a black hole, which starts absorbing matter and debris from the ground, pulling and tearing Cerberus. The boulder of debris and Cerberus then expanded under the pressure caused by the vortex and exploded, leaving nothing left.
Principal Dominic focused on the raid gate. His eyes glowed bright orange and chanted, "Dynamite Fists,"
10 giant fists appeared in the sky, as they descended and hit the gate, they exploded in a ball of crackling explosions, closing the gate.
Principal Agnus fell onto Mr Blaze, she knew she shouldn't have used two ultimates in rapid succession.
"Principal Agnus, are you okay?" Mr Blaze asked.
"Yeah, just tired. I need to check up on the boys, they could have gotten seriously injured," principal Agnus replied.
"Everyone, please evacuate immediately!" Principal Dominic shouted.
Prince Drake created wyverns for his family and rode off back to the palace.
Echo came running back, only to see the aftermath of the fight, he saw Nex and Karasu injured and quickly ran to them.
"What the fuck were you two thinking? Oh my angels, this is why Anas needs to babysit you two!" Echo shouted at the two boys.
"How is Anas doing? Is he alright?" Karasu asked.
"He is recovering, his makeshift sapphire bandages stopped some of the bleeding, and now he's getting actual bandages. The healer said he would recover quickly," Echo replied. Hearing this, Nex and Karasu breathed both a sigh of relief.
"You two idiots, go to the infirmary, NOW!" Principal Agnus yelled at Nex and Karasu.
After the two boys left, Echo had some news for principal Agnus and Mr Blaze.
"Before I left, I saw a guy at the top of a wall. I recognize him, he is Glaive, the guy the four of us met in Eclipse," Echo explained.
"He is definitely our main enemy. Tell us later, let's check up on the boys," principal Agnus said. Mr Blaze held principal Agnus up as they along with Echo walked to the infirmary to check up on the trio.
When they got there, Anas was laying down asleep while Nex and Karasu were getting their scars and burns healed with magic.
"How are you two feeling?" Mr Blaze asked.
"Better than the time we fought the pillar to save Rai," Karasu replied.
"I have tried everything to heal Anas, but his wounds are too severe and needs to heal naturally before anything or else his skin would be damaged forever," the healer replied.
"You guys aren't adults and yet still have these kinds of injuries. This world is truly too unsafe," Mr Blaze commented.
"Hey, they haven't gotten too seriously injured for now. From what I can see, you're the one who needs a hand," principal Agnus told him as the three boys held their laughter.
"Anyways, Glaive was the one who did all of this, so what should we do?" Echo asked.
"God, him again?" Nex said, annoyed.
"We can't do anything realistically. The four of us are too weak and no one can track him down," Karasu said.
"Yeah, you're right. Not engaging in a fight with him is the best option for you four. He has only targeted you four, so I suggest you to just escape if you see him in the future," principal Agnus said.
"Further discussion later, you four rest well," principal Agnus said as she got enough energy to float away with Mr Blaze following her.
An hour went by before Anas barely woke up.
"What happened?" Anas asked.
"Principal Agnus took it down, now come on. Let's go back to the mansion," Nex said.
Echo gave Anas a piggyback ride as they walked and got on a carriage back to the mansion.
As they got to the gates, Al quickly took Anas back to his own room and the other three boys slowly walked back to the dorms.
"How should we deal with Glaive in the future?" Nex asked.
"He can only control Cruels so if he has no minions left, he is a sitting duck," Karasu said.
"Let's focus on the present first, it's almost time for our mid-terms assessment test," Echo said.
"Oh right it's already December. And a month from now is Anas' birthday!" Nex said.
"After that test, we will only have a few months the finals left and then have to say goodbye to Rai and Raina as our lives would just be full of travelling and missions. We won't see them for basically 2 years," Karasu said.
"We will be great mentors to them when they graduate," Echo said with a smile.
They laughed as they walked in the sunset.
Back in the mansion, Rai and Raina were next to Anas.
"So, how did the enrollment go?" Anas asked Raina.
"I got in very easily. I got a 85 on my assessment," Raina said, excited.
"What about you? How did you do in the Starfall Crown?" Rai asked.
"I won the 3rd year branch. But a raid boss came, so the happiness died out quick," Anas said replied.
Just then a knock came from the door, it was Catherine and Andreas.
"How are you feeling my child?" Catherine asked and Anas gave a thumbs up.
"Come on. Let's celebrate your win in the Starfall Crown and your enrollment to Celestial Star Academy," Andreas said.
"Wait, but I'm not a part of the Blackwood family," Raina replied.
"No, but we invited your family into our workforce, so now this is your new home and your family have better paying jobs," Catherine replied.
