Finding Strange Eternities - Her Hair was Sunset Red

There was a Girl who history forgot

Her hair was sunset Red

She went to the many interwoven threads

That made up the tapestry of the world's tread

She saw the horror, she saw the dread

She saw the way a Mother's eyes bled

She saw the Rioters' severed heads

She saw the Foreigner's body, dead

She saw the Workers without enough bread

She saw the Children whose stories were said

She saw the bright panopticon

Wrapped around the rich man's spawn

She saw the Woman just like Her

And the sacrifice of Fathers

She dug through the many fractalled threads

And she found the living Seed

She planted the living Seed in Her heart

And in Her heart there grew a Dream

And in that Dream there was a Voice

That said Her Love could make the choice

And Generations rose in front of Her

And Lied to cops and sat by Campfire

And all those Children died

All that was left was apple pie

But still, the Secrets whisper in us

The Truth we're taught to hide with Lie
