"Well, well, well, look who it is," I look up from tending to the bite on Bergamot's arm and scowl. Lemongrass was standing in the doorway, along with his three dull-witted lackeys; Yarrow, Wormwood, and Thistle. Lemongrass smirks, looking directly at me with narrow eyes.
"If it isn't Cardamon and her rabid boyfriend!" He laughs, and his lackeys laugh with him. I ignore him, focusing my attention on Bergamot's arm. The bite mark was clean, but it still looked bad. Bergamot looks at me, yellow eyes dull with pain. 185Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡ3lNFWwoYkV
"Are you okay?" I ask him, and Bergamot nods, glaring at Lemongrass from the bed. Lemongrass continues taunting me, but I ignore him.185Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡOhI9sXhyjR
"Watch out Cardamon!" Lemongrass says in a mocking tone. "Bergamot might bite you!" He mimes biting his arm. "And then you'll have rabies too!" I glance at Bergamot, who's starting to stand up. I put a hand on his shoulder, but he shakes it off, walking towards Lemongrass with a look of rage on his face.
"Lemongrass please," I plead, watching as he continues to taunt Bergamot, oblivious to Bergamot's blood-thirsty expression, his lips peeled back in a silent snarl, revealing sharp teeth. "Bergamot's going to bite yo-" I watch in horror as Bergamot lunges forward, his mouth clamping shut on Lemongrass's hand. Lemongrass shrieks in pain, yanking his hand out of Bergamot's mouth, coming away with three less fingers.
