I've walked in gardens but the valley is beautiful

I'm embarking on a journey

Of which I hope isn't futile

There are so many things

To see along the way,

An adventure of the heart.

The stops are of manipulative origin

Who am I to play with life?

I am but a girl in love.

The journey makes it bearable

But the wait is only torture

Because of all the people

In the world, you are the hardest

To capture -

You're a runner at midnight,

The fleeting ghost In the attic

Of old houses in the dead of winter

I'd sprint if I could run

At last breaking past the injury

Adding insult would just ruin it.

She just isn't for you.

I want to see you smile

Instead of filling out obligations

You believe are necessary

Due to prior engagements

I want to hold you in my arms

To the last dying breath, I take

And make the world tremble

in our wake

I want to hold your hand,

Every step I take.

I’ll do whatever I can

I’ll fight and fight and fight

Til the last battle’s over

A war waged-

Heart against head

For hearts to touch once again

And the outcome is tangible

I want you, my dear

Who is smart and doesn't see it

Kind and patient and good

But doesn't want to believe it.

Let me be the guide to where

Flowers in the valley grow

To a special kind of heaven

Known only to those who are grown
