Hallucinations

It's a hallucination,

No, not a hallucination,

Could I be imagining it?

Or could it all be real?

I wonder to myself,

Ponder life's meaning,

Again, and yet again,

I push myself past the level of understanding I have.

The life I live,

Is it worth it?

Could writing stories get me anywhere in life?

I wish I could believe so.

But the conversations that take place,

Oh, the conversations,

They give me life,

But they might as well be the death of me.

I always think,

What if my life's just a big dream?

What will I do if I wake up tomorrow?

If I'm an entirely different person?

Life, I have thought,

Is always very short,

And certain people showed me wrong,

But they may as well just have been Hallucinations.
