你能夠證明童話故事真的存在嗎？​​​​​​​

新學期開始，剛成為高中生的林威廉被指派作圖書館管理員，遇見了被稱為「圖書館的安徒生」的漢妮，兩人初次見面就為童話是否存在於現實而爭論一番，雖然最終並未有結論，但隨即被捲入意料不及的事件。

性格開朗、為人積極的夏美，即使生活再艱難都堅持活下去。忽然有一天，她離奇地自殺了。為了揭開夏美自殺的原因，同時希望能證明世上存在童話，林威廉與漢妮展開一連串的調查。

賣火柴的女孩、白雪公主、灰姑娘……以最初的事件為開端，各種童話故事逐漸重現在他們的生活之中。是巧合，還是命中注定？假如這些家傳戶曉的童話真實存在於世上，又會是個怎樣的故事呢？
