Jonah led me down the hallway, towards the 2nd classroom to the right. He pulled me right into the classroom and set me down onto a desk. He looked at the boy on my left.

" Hey you, take care of her for me." Then, without hesitation, he left the classroom, leaving me feeling lonely and helpless.

The boy turned around to look at me. He seems familiar... oh, it's Jacob! He seemed a bit lonely (just like me).

He spoke," I'm Noah."

"Hey, I'm Jennifer." I smiled.

The corners of his mouth lifted up. The other students beside us seemed surprised. It's as if they saw some kind of strange phenomena. I sensed their jealousy.

It was soon lunch time. Jacob told me that Jonah just texted him to bring me to the cafeteria. I nodded and followed him obediently.

The cafeteria was quite full when I arrived. All the tables were seated with people. The only table with empty seats was a table near the window. There were only 3 people at that table. Jacob led me towards that table. Under the stare of the student body, I walked uncomfortably towards the table.

Jonah patted the seat beside him. I walked towards him.

"What do you want to eat?" he whispered into my ear.

"Eh...macaroni and cheese?" I finally decided.

Jonah frowned," I don't think there's macaroni and cheese in this caf, do you want something else?"

"You decide. I can eat anything." I replied quietly.

The other 3 people at the table stared at me, open-mouthed.

Noah laughed," You really are special."

I was confused. It was a lot later when I realized that he meant.

Jacob was silent. He just smiled at me.

"Oh, and thanks for helping me yesterday." I tried to say it as sincerely as possible.

"No probs, I'm glad to meet you." Jacob replied elegantly, still with a slight attractive smile on his face.

Noah soon finished his lunch,"Okay I have to go! Enjoy your food!" Then he marched away from our table.

I wasn't interested in the fancy looking food in front of me. I just ate a few forkful and felt full.

I stated,"Okay I'm going too."

Jonah didn't raise his head from his food,"I'll find you after school."

"Sure." Then, I escaped from the cafeteria.
