Plain Vanilla - Chapter 6

-Vanessa’s POV-

“Hey Xan..” I mumbled.

“Hi Vanilla” he smiled sweetly.

“Why am I still laying on you? You could’ve just moved me?” I asked.

“Because you looked so calm and I didn’t want too, I didn’t feel like it.”

“Oh,” I was to mesmerized by his eyes to care.

“Hungry?”

“Yes very” I grinned.

“Okay, but for what?” He grabbed my hand and pulled me up.

“Why do you always grab my hands!!!” I breathed

“What else am I supposed to grab your waist?”

“Whatever..” I muttered inhaling deeply.

“Anyways, what do you want to eat?”

“What do you have?” I smiled

“Um, we have leftover pizza.”

“Sure; why not.” I grinned.

We ate and then he showed me an extra room, which was- ironically- next to his.

“Night Vanilla” he said peering through my door.

“Night..” I bit my lip.

“What’s the matter?” He said walking completely in.

“Just home sick.” I said putting a hoodie on over my tank top.

“Aww I’m sorry.” He weakly smiled.

“It’s fine.”

“Well- if you need anything just come get me.” He got up and left.

-Alexander’s POV-

I had a weird feeling when she said Home sick, did she not want to be here? That can’t be. I gritted my teeth, what’s wrong with me?! I screamed in my head. Maybe I was taking things to fast, maybe me and Vanessa need to stay friends for a bit. I couldn’t help it. I mean I just met the girl.

How did I know her?

Well, there’s one answer

The whole town knows about her.

We were warned.

She has this special sense that draws people to her.

She doesn’t even know it.

Her parents were scared that she was going to be raped because of it.

I soon as I saw her…

I couldn’t help it.

Maybe Ian feels the same way, no.

I’m literally obsessed with her, maybe it’s just the sense, or maybe it’s me..

Vanessa is mine. And mine alone.

Nothing will stop me.

“H-hey Xan…” she came into my room.

“Hi Vanessa, what do you need?” I turned and smiled.

“Um..Its kind of cold.. do you think you could turn up the heater?” She stuttered.

“Yeah, anything you need.” I got up and turned it up.

“Thanks Xan” she smiled.

“Yup,”

“Night.”

“Night,” I blinked.

A couple of hours of thinking about certain things later; ‘She must be asleep now..’ I thought to myself.

I slowly walked out of my room and into hers, I saw her laying on the floor, why in the world… I gently picked her up and put her in her bed.

‘So peaceful.’ I sighed.

I stood next to the bed for about a hour and a half until I decided I was going to lay on the floor next to the bed, why? You may ask, well because. That’s all I have for you, just because.

-in the morning-

-Vanessas’POV-

I wake up to nearly stepping on Xan. ‘Why the heck is he in here?’

I ask myself before saying “Xan…” softly.

He moved a bit then got up, “hey,” he said groggily.

“I have a question.” I muttered.

“What is it?” He stretched.

“Why were you in here on the floor?” I emphasized floor.

“Uh, because, um-Ehhhhhhhh- just because.”

“Mhmmm” I yawned.

“Do you want to go get donuts?” He asked innocently.

“Eh…. Why not.”

“Ill grab you some clothes, be right back.” He walked out.

He came back with a black hoodie a light gray t-shirt and jeans,

“The hoodie is mine, the shirt and jeans are my moms.” He smiled.

Wow, a boy giving a girl his hoodie how cliché.

“Thanks.” I shut the door and got dressed.

I went out of the room and grabbed my purse; there was no way I was letting him pay for my food, that is also so-very-Cliché.

“Ready?” He opened the front door, and let me pass.

We started for the shop,

“So, why were you sleeping on the floor?” I stared.

“Just because.” He smiled.

“There has to be a reason Xan.”

“Nope, I just wanted too.”
