If it's too hard

to remember

our past. 

Then let's stop and

take a look

at what we have. 

We haven't said 'Hello' since

who-knows-when.

But can we please

try this

again? 

Remember when

we laughed

all night long? 

Eating chocolate

chess pieces

played wrong. 

We've postponed our visits

again-and-again.

But can we please

try this

again?

again..?

Your smile

has never held

so much sadness. 

At least not

when I was 

around. 

We do say 'Good Bye'

now-and-then.

But can we please 

try this

again? 

I fear what

the future

holds for us.

Because more than

our bodies

grow old. 

The warmth we once shared will 

come to an end. 

But can we please

try this

again? 

Can we please try

re-becoming 

best friends?
