Mirror Mirror

I want you to tell me

why you love me.

My mother replies,

"Because I am your mother, and

I held you in my womb

for nine long months."

My father replies,

"Because I am your father, and

I find myself in your pout, in the

crinkles of your forehead."

My brother replies,

"Because I am your brother, and

I would have lived a lonely life as

an only child without you."

But you are neither my mother, my father,

nor my brother. In fact, we have as much relation as

an ant has to the Queen of England. So tell me,

Why do you love me?

My reflection replies,

"Because you are worth loving.

Is that not reason enough?"
