Thats definitely not an exact quote, but it says close enough to what the actual quote says in which I need to get my point across.
Some things need to be ended, and we know they do. But either we don’t have enough stregenth, we’re too scared, or we just don’t want to accept that they need to be ended - so we don’t end them- and they continue along this unhealthy path.
So, we know these things need to be ended, but we don’t end them. So - say something else does end them.
Thats where this quote comes in.
Even though we’re sad in some ways that whatever it may be has ended, we sigh with relief that it has.
I suppose I’ve finally gotten to live this quote as I’ve lived many quotes.
I recently had myself sigh with relief that something was over, even though I was a bit sad. This thing was very unhealthy for me, had been for many years, but still I kept it around.
It is time that it was ended. I’m glad it’s ended, even though I am a bit sad.
I think everyone’s got something like that.
