The Silent Things - Cautious (Also a side issue)

{Before I begin I’m just going to enter this little note: I will post a note in parentheses when I write another issue that is related to “Off with the padlocks!” And “Swing back the door!”}

So, on with it!

I called this issue “cautious” because that’s what I am, I’m cautious.

I recently have started talking to a guy. He’s not necessarily new...actually he’s not new at all. I talked to him before and it didn’t work out. (Should that be a red flag?)

Anyway, he claims he’s changed. (Don’t count me as dumb yet, I know that’s a stretch.) And that he wants a serious relationship. With...me.

Fun fact! He’s in the army. So he’s stationed somewhere other than where I live. Actually across an ocean.

I don’t like to automatically assume someone is lying, that’s not a good trait to have, but I do like to be cautious.

And I certainly am.

If you ask me (and my intuition) - it’s a bit fishy, all of it. But I do like to give people the benefit of the doubt, even though that bites me in the butt sometimes.

I don’t really know why I wrote this issue other than I needed to let my thoughts out.

I do appreciate any feedback I get, if anyone has a comment.

It’ll probably be soon that I write an issue about not getting your hopes up, because that’s what I’m doing, and he’ll probably show me that I shouldn’t have.
