SHOPPING

It is getting colder

because the leaves

are starting to die.

Sorry, but that is

pretty much what

happens during Fall.

My mom’s dark brown

eyes look darker than

normal so I decide

to do something to

cheer her up,

go to the mall.

(With her, I could

never go by myself)

She loves shopping

and I like shopping

with her.

I saw her sitting on

one of our couches

next to my dad

in the living room

looking on her phone.

Hey, Mom?

Yeah?

Wanna go shopping

at the mall together?

Her eyes brightened.

Sure, sweetie, but I

don’t really need any

new clothes.

I do.

I pointed at myself

as I made the statement.

I literally have no

long sleeve shirts

or any sweatshirts

that fit me.

Okay then, where

do you want to go?

Oh, umm…

I don’t know

We went to Target,

but only because we

needed

(Well, I wanted)

some Cheddar Goldfish

as a special snack.

We also got some

Starbucks because there

was one inside of the

Target.

I like sleeping,

and I’m pretty sure

everyone else in

the world does, too.

I go to bed at

around 10:30 pm

most days, but

I don’t fall asleep

until 11:30 or 12:00.

To answer the question

of why it takes so long

for me to fall

asleep,

I write in my journal

a lot.

Like, too much.

Well, actually,

it takes me a long

time to think of ideas

of what to write

inside of it.

Normally it takes me

about 2 hours to

write 3 or 4 poems.

Pathetic, I know.

The days that I don't

write in my journal, though,

I have really random

and weird dreams that

could be about me

marrying a rooster

named Harry

or even falling out of the

Empire State Building

(that was a scary one).

So I try to not have

those weird dreams,

and deprive myself of

Red is the first

color of the rainbow,

and is the color

of strawberries

and flowers and stuff.

But it is not my

favorite color.

It is actually my

least favorite

color because…

it is the color of

the huge zit on

my forehead.

I saw it in the

mirror this morning

and everyone else

saw it too.

I need concealer

but my mom

won’t let me get

makeup until

I’m dead probably,

so this red dot

needs to go away

ASAP.

I was bored and decided

to do some art.

To give you

some background,

I am not artistic.

I got some white paper

and crayons, markers,

and my hands.

Nothing came to my

head at first, so

I was just sitting at

my desk like an idiot

for what felt like an

hour or so.

After painfully

slapping my forehead

a couple of times

(like that could give me

ideas)

I still had nothing,

and I decided to

play music for some

inspiration.

I found the old

radio that my

parents put in my room

for some reason

and turned it on to

the station my

family always listens to

in the car.

The white sound broke

my eardrums for

30 seconds until I

fixed that, and

‘Applause‘ by Lady Gaga

was playing.

Yes! No commercials!

I remembered watching

the super duper weird

music video for

that song and

decided to do

I made my masterpiece
