Hundreds of Night Seers invaded the Academy grounds in the middle of the night without warning. No one knew how any of them had survived after they had been supposedly annihilated by the strongest beings in the Academy. They had no Queen to reproduce their lost numbers, it made no sense to them as they tried wrap their minds around their sudden return. Students screamed in horror while thick, grey, clouds covered the moon, which made the Night Seers much stronger than the students. They had no way to defeat the Night Seers without Amaris' light. Agatha watched her students be slaughtered from the comfort of her study. The Firsts waited in silence for her orders. She closed her curtains with a long sigh.
"Where is Amaris?" Agatha asked as she took a seat at her desk.
"In the Normal realm." Iria answered in a flat tone.
"Gik," Agatha hummed, "what can you do?"
"Nothing, Headmistress. My gifts are that of the Black Flame, I cannot simply change the UV of my flames like Amaris." Gik replied in the same flat tone as Iria, who glanced at him.
"Annika, order the other Tempus members to slow their time. The rest of you will search for Amaris. I cannot allow her negligence to kill the lot my students." Agatha ordered with a wave of her hand.
"Yes, Headmistress." They bowed to her in unison before going their separate ways.
Hanako stopped them before they could leave Agatha's study when she sensed two unfamiliar presences appear on the grounds, "Who—"
An explosion from outside the Main hall, where Agatha's study was located, rattled the entire building. It nearly collapsed the Main hall, but Hanako reinforced the building to withstand the destructive force of the explosion. Agatha moved to open the curtains, she swiftly stepped to the side when a dead Night Seer crashed through her window. Someone had deliberately thrown it at her.
"Amaris?" Iria wondered out loud.
"No." Gik quickly answered with a menacing expression.
They looked through the hole that had replaced the window in silence. Beatrice stared up at them from the ground with a stoic expression. She pointed at Iria, who blinked. Wani appeared beside her covered in the Night Seers blood.
"Her Majesty ordered us to save your precious little Academy, Gaia." Wani shouted with a blank expression.
Beatrice slapped her upside the head, "Shut your big mouth!" She seethed through gritted teeth.
"I meant Hanako, or whomever is the Earth's lover this time." Wani grumbled while stopping a Night Seer from attacking her with one hand.
An unbearable heat similar to Amaris' caused the Night Seer's head to explode like a water balloon after a few seconds. Beatrice avoided its blood and brains by stepping forward.
"Who are you?" Agatha scowled down at them.
Beatrice ignored her, "Goddess of Spite, we have come for you." She said while looking at Iria.
Wani smirked, "Her Majesty, has so humbly requested your presence." She announced.
"How did you find me?" Iria asked with a blank expression.
Wani looked at Beatrice before turning to face her with a menacing glare, "Your scent is revolting, but not as revolting as that’s." She pointed at Agatha.
Beatrice scowled at Wani, "Wani, Amaris ordered us to not interfere with Agatha." She stated through gritted teeth.
Wani licked her lips, "It would be so much fun to watch her downfall." She mused with a devilish glint in her eyes.
Agatha disappeared from her study then appeared before Wani, she wrapped her fingers around Wani's neck. Beatrice sighed before walking towards Iria with an annoyed expression. Agatha lifted Wani in the air while smirking at her. Wani grabbed her forearm and shattered every bone in her arm. Agatha wailed loudly while holding her arm close to her chest. Wani looked down upon her in disgust, she kicked Agatha in her chest, which sent her flying backwards at full force. Hanako and Gik quickly caught Agatha before she could crash through the Main hall. Wani licked her lips with a deranged expression.
"Wani." Beatrice called for her as she stood beside Iria, who had opened the gate.
Wani clicked her tongue in annoyance, "When her Majesty permits me to take your head, I will enjoy it." She said before vanishing.
Beatrice passed through the gate with Iria, who did not retaliate. They calmly appeared in Beatrice's apartment. Wani had already made it there, she lied on the couch with one leg over the back of the couch. Iria looked around Beatrice's apartment, which had still been destroyed. She watched as Wani scratched her stomach while staring at the ceiling.
"Forgive us," Beatrice broke the heavy silence, "I have no control over that one's actions." She apologized for Wani's behavior towards Agatha.
"It's quite alright." Iria muttered.
An uncomfortable silence quickly settled over them once again. Wani sat up with an annoyed expression.
"Goddess of Spite." Wani spoke up.
"Wani, manners." Beatrice scolded with a scowl.
Wani clicked her tongue in annoyance, "Iria," she sighed, "I believe we have not explained why her Majesty wishes to see you."
"I know very well what Amaris wants from me." Iria grumbled while folding her arms over her chest.
"Do you?" Wani hummed while scratching the front of her neck.
"Yes," Iria paused, "if Hanako fails to defeat Arlo then I should not interfere with her fate." She stated.
Wani pursed her lips as she stood, "Beauty and brains, how delightful. Amaris' taste remains immaculate." She chuckled before walking towards the bathroom.
Beatrice sighed, "Again, forgive us. I am Beatrice, she is Wani. She is from Amaris' world." She explained with a smile as she picked up the chairs from her kitchen table.
"Amaris' world?" Iria narrowed her eyes at her back while she cleaned up the kitchen.
"Please do not look at me like that," Beatrice sighed again, "we are in no position to explain our Queen to you. It isn't our right to do so. When the time comes she will tell you everything. As of now, you must be patient with her." She told her in a soft voice.
"However, if you lay your disgusting hands on my Queen, I will fucking kill you." Wani appeared with a toothbrush in her mouth, which muffled her words.
"Wani." Beatrice turned to her with a scowl.
Wani spit through the hole in the floor with a scowl, "Her Majesty shall return shortly, so wait." She ordered while pointing her toothbrush at Iria.
They ignored the loud and rage-filled shout from below.
Iria blinked, "Where has Amaris gone?” She asked.
"We do not know where she goes," Beatrice answered, "she may return in days or hours." She said while she swept up the pieces of broken cups and teapots.
Wani blinked, "Her Majesty, is—" She began to say, but Amaris' sudden appearance caught them all off guard.
She stood covered in blood and dirt with a blank expression. Beatrice looked her up and down in disgust before covering her nose.
"Amaris," she boomed, "where have you gone?"
Amaris hummed as she waved a hand over her body; a golden ring of fire moved over her body afterwards, restoring her appearance. She took a seat with a long sigh. Iria narrowed her eyes at her in suspicion.
"Give me a moment," Amaris told them while holding up her index finger, "Arlo sent an army of aggravating human followers after me during my visit with Evans." She stated.
"Why would you visit that awful man?" Wani snapped.
Amaris rubbed her neck with a strained expression, "To learn more about Arlo."
Beatrice scowled at her, "Amaris, you know better than to visit him."
Amaris ignored her, "Forgive me, Iria. Hanako must defeat Arlo on her own. Wani and Beatrice will provide support until she awakens her true power. I am assuming Laura is still battling herself." She muttered while leaning back in her chair.
Iria stared at her, "Why do you seem depleted of your energy?" She questioned.
Wani clicked her tongue in annoyance, "Evans is an extremely knowledgeable being. However, you must pay the price of giving up a portion of you lifespan in order to gain the knowledge you desire. He reeks of pure darkness." She spat venomously.
Amaris groaned, "What's done is done, I cannot go back. After fighting an army and paying the price for the knowledge of Arlo, it has taken its toll." She mumbled as she closed her eyes.
"Laura may awaken a true monster, or the version of herself I intended her to be." Iria calmly crossed the kitchen to sit across from Amaris.
"You are the true monster, creating an entire clan of beings just because you were in a gaming mood." Amaris mumbled without opening her eyes to look at Iria.
"I am unlike other Gods and Goddesses, I am a being of my own creation." Iria whispered while gripping the seat of her chair.
"Then why do you possess the name, Daughter of A—" Amaris abruptly stopped herself from finishing her question.
"She birthed me, yet I awoken the darkness inside of me before I could walk. I honed my gift before I could speak." Iria lowered her head in shame.
Amaris opened her eyes, "My father used me to slaughter millions of innocent people. On my coronation day, he planned to use my gift to kill our people so he could rebuild our empire." She spoke truthfully.
"Your Majesty, you said you would never speak of that time of our lives." Wani narrowed her eyes at her.
"Forgive me, Wani. Iria, you must trust me when I tell you the Multiverse is in grave danger." Amaris turned to her with a softened expression.
Iria intently examined her face, "Very well, I shall trust your opinion. You are strong and knowledgeable, I cannot simply ignore your words." She said before standing up.
"Where are you going?" Wani moved to stand in Iria's way.
"I am returning to the Abandoned realm...I am unfit to reside in the Normal realm." Iria glanced down at the wooden floors beginning to turn black from decay underneath her feet.
Wani followed her gaze, she immediately stepped back with a look of disgust, "Your Majesty." She looked to Amaris, who responded with a curt nod.
Beatrice grimaced as Iria opened the gate, "You are not to interfere with Hanako!" She called after her.
Iria waved her hand as she stepped through the gate, "I have no intentions of defeating Alro. However, I am going to build Hanako's strength!" She turned to them with a smirk before the gate closed.
Amaris laughed while Wani and Beatrice tried to stop the gate from completely closing. They turned to Amaris with confused expressions.
"Amaris, are you going to allow this?" Beatrice questioned.
