“Until students are ready and show the maturity and will to be able to control their power under optimal conditions they are not allowed to use their Magic outside the temple.” Areon’s words held truth. That was a rule that all four Mages held all the students to and had to follow that same rule. None were allowed to use their Magic outside of the temple without the permission of one of the Mages instructing them. If they tried to use Magic without permission then they would find it wouldn’t work as there had been, the rumor was, runes that were on the ceilings inside buried outside so if needed they could be activated and block the use of any students Magic.310Please respect copyright.PENANAlK1m7viC6G

“But…I don’t think I’d lose control. I think I’d be able to handle it…maybe.” Jordon sounded less confident now than he did prior with his words in wanting to go and train elsewhere. Though the winds had faded and the air adding to what his body felt were gone he could still bring back the memory and it scared him. He hadn’t felt like he had control in that small moment though simulated. If that was accurate to what he’d really feel by having all four Elements come to him at the same time then he didn’t want to feel that again.310Please respect copyright.PENANA12qlcavEQ7

Seeing the fallen young man’s face Areon sighed motioning with a hand as he turned. “Come, we will break and get lunch then we will meditate in the relaxation room. After we will try again for you to draw upon one of the Elements and see if you can improve your time. Rushing is not good but if you take too long to draw and call out for an Element to allow you to use it then that could cost you your life if you were to be against an enemy or wild animal.”310Please respect copyright.PENANACNM5Mf2Hml

Agreeing to this Jordon followed Areon to the main doors leading out only to pause when one of the side doors opened and entered Pyrast. “Areon, if you’re free I need to speak with you. Privately, if you aren’t busy.” The Fire Mage’s words were heated as normal with his steady approach to the pair.310Please respect copyright.PENANAQD8gAKrBjx

“Well I had hopes you could spare a few minutes…” Pyrast trailed off, annoyed by the fact Areon was thinking with his stomach first.310Please respect copyright.PENANA0bGIJTyVqg

“It’s fine Elder Areon. You go speak with Elder Mage Pyrast. I will go start cooking up lunch for us.” Jordon responded giving Areon a nod to confirm before Areon could ask if he was sure he wouldn’t mind doing the cooking.310Please respect copyright.PENANAszpnACa7kJ

“If you are positive, alright, thank you Jordon. I shouldn’t be too long.” With those words the Air Mage took his leave with Pyrast going to another room through the doors Pyrast had entered through. Their closing echo sounded louder to Jordon who watched with a pleased smile on his face but it slowly faded and a breath of air exited.310Please respect copyright.PENANAWTfBbRBwYc

This had been happening. The Mages talking in private and not including him; sure he knew he wasn’t an Elder of Magic like them but at the same time he felt like he should be included for some reason. He showed he held Magic as strong as theirs, didn’t he? He could control and move about each of the Elements when defending himself. They couldn’t control the other’s Element like he could. He once heard mention of the archway out in the forest being discussed and when he tried to inquire about it all he got was told it was a matter already closed and to not worry over it.310Please respect copyright.PENANAbbPuHAetOf

He was being seen as their equal wasn’t he? It wasn’t just anyone they would invite in and allow to be in their quarters. He had to have something special, didn’t he to earn this right? “…Maybe Elder Mage Areon will include me in this later…or tell me what was discussed and inform me so I can be of help. He…seems more reasonable than the others…so far…” Jordon’s words were muttered under his breath, his body turning and exiting through the main doors, closing their heavy forms with an echoing sound left behind as he made his way to the cooking area to start on lunch for him and Areon.310Please respect copyright.PENANACI4KHQUlYn
