Minutes later, close to thirty, Areon would appear just as Jordon was setting the table and bringing the meal over. “Ah! How was your meeting? What was discussed? Is there anything we need to take care of?” his words came out quicker and more egger than he would had liked not wishing to give the wrong impression or idea to Areon about his motivation of wanting to help being mistaken as one who just wished to be out and use his Magic out in the open or attempt to.661Please respect copyright.PENANAEX7Ieg3Kii

“It is fine Jordon. No one is needing to go out and deal with anything. It was just Pyrast having concerns over the archway but that has been resolved. He and Silvius are going to be guarding it and he had some questions. The meal smells and looks very good.” Areon answered then changed the topic as he came and sat at the table as Jordon sat down as well. He began to fix his plate as did Jordon though Jordon moved a bit more slowly watching the Air Mage.661Please respect copyright.PENANAicm7e158VB

“Are you sure you aren’t lying to me? It feels like you are lying to me.”661Please respect copyright.PENANAJiUj3lc6lJ

“Jordon, why would I need to lie to you? You are our student; you are very gifted and have been getting special training with us individually. Other students also get help one on one but they aren’t allowed in our quarters because they haven’t shown the promise or the skill to grant them entrée behind those doors. Only those with special gifts or powers may enter here and remain that has also our trust. We can’t risk letting any students in here whenever they wish when we keep records of grades and progress as well as who we previously taught.”661Please respect copyright.PENANAawcp3PS4Cs

“I suppose you’re right. I guess I was being over worried.” Areon nodded and the conversation ended with the pair having their lunch but as they did Jordon still could not shake the feeling they were hiding something from him and didn’t wish to share. Was it something he did or said? He was trusted, right? Areon wasn’t actually lying to him was he? The young man hoped his teacher and other teachers weren’t lying to him and making up things just to be nice or to spare feelings or anything else that might be thought of to explain any lies they might have told.661Please respect copyright.PENANAohDnItjN2t

In the back of his mind, he held his tongue, were thoughts about the ‘what if’ they were lying to him and what they might be hiding from him. The thoughts of the four hiding something from him and lying about it were slim but at the same time he couldn’t shake the twisted knot from his stomach or the questions from his mind to why after all these years they still didn’t include him in discussions or allow him to hear what they had to talk about. Why would they always need to go speak in private or ask him to do something in another room if he was trusted and their equal?661Please respect copyright.PENANAzqgSP0F9zg

It didn’t make sense. Maybe he was just over thinking things? He hoped he was just over thinking. He didn’t want to image or hear that his fears were true and they had been lying. Hearing the truth, he feared, would be something he wouldn’t be able to take or handle after being lied to, if that turned out to be the case.661Please respect copyright.PENANALZj2lXBvBT

After lunch the two went and began to meditate to relax before they had plans for Jordon to resume training with his trying to draw upon one Element from the controlled pits. Outside, during this time, was Pyrast with Silvius at his side, exiting the village, entering the forest. “So come on, tell me what Areon said about Jordon and his training.”661Please respect copyright.PENANA6RcTAQ8rXL

“He has been staying about the same. He still struggles drawing the Elements from nature yet can use them from us with incredible ease. Areon said it took several minutes, he estimated about fifteen or twenty on focusing, before the fire finally responded to Jordon and when it did it took longer than either of us or the other students to find and draw upon it.”661Please respect copyright.PENANAqRWtokgQi8

“Wow so you think he’s ever going to improve? I know he’s special but do we know if it’s really something that is letting him use all four Elements or is it a new Element? I haven’t seen him be able to rise or move stone unless I do so during a sparring match.” Silvius explained concern in his voice.661Please respect copyright.PENANANBDgqF7UA5

Pyrast took in a breath before exhaling through his nostrils, “I’m not sure. It feels like he’s not really trying yet at the same time it does feel like he is. I’m not sure how we would test him to see if it is a new Element or not. He can draw on the Elements from their source it just takes him longer than us or anyone else we’ve trained.”661Please respect copyright.PENANAkMsVS8e6Og

“Hmm well…that’s troubling. Do you think he’s just a slow learner with speaking to the Elements in nature? Maybe he just needs more work on focusing. If his mind is staying too active then that lowers the speed of connecting with an Element.”661Please respect copyright.PENANA15PqNacrDu

“I doubt he is able to think that much unless it be about girls or something stupid or reckless. He, when the archway first came to be, had the stupid idea that he would guard the structure alone. If he can make full thoughts now if he has any suggestions or plans will greatly surprise me. I hold little faith he is able to complete such a simple task.”661Please respect copyright.PENANAPKHmTyiazM

“Oh don’t be so rough on him Pyrast. I mean…he is a young man after all. We were young too, remember? Just be nicer to him and I’m sure that will help.” Suggested Silvius with a grin only to end up yelping and ducking a fire ball that quickly flew past his head, fading in the air from the close range shot from Pyrast.661Please respect copyright.PENANAQvC3RXUPDb
