志郎從冰冷的地面爬了起來，看見父親正和一名客人談生意，母親在房間對他招手。當時志郎一定想不到如此溫馨的畫面卻是最後一次在這家中出現。大概，幾天後，父親回到家中，母親出外了，志郎高興地跑向父親，但父親卻一把推開年紀較小的志郎並從窗口跳下去。此時志郎母親也回來了，她悲哀地大哭，最後拿出刀子，一刀插入肚中。當時志郎目睹他的父母自殺。經過各方的追查得知父親被一名騙子騙去所有財富，而選擇自殺。但警方卻找不到騙子。正當志郎要絕望時，有兩個人對他伸出手。
