"Sir, he can't continue on like this."
"Do you find him incapable of surviving this menial task?
"No, sir, but-"
"Then be quiet."
Snapping his mouth shut as their employer eyed them critically, Tyson turned his attention to the arena-like training room that currently housed his white-haired teammate. Watching as the officer began to pull himself onto his feet, Ty grimaced as the smaller male was kicked into the less than padded wall before falling back down to his knees. Unable to hear any of the sounds due to the thick glass, the raven could tell the man was hurting from the way he shuddered and heaved, obviously trying to pull air back into beaten lungs. Averting his eyes as the pale hair was grabbed to hoist the man up to his feet, Tyson flinched when the glass shielding them shuddered violently from having his subordinate thrown then pinned to it.
Initially, he had been awakened by a message from the Director to get to the skybox. Upon arrival, he saw Evren sleeping at the center though he had been in the medical ward just the night prior. His wake up call was less than amiable since it consisted of a kick to the side followed a rather uncomfortable confrontation of almost having his face smashed in. Now, however, it was quite obvious that the Director was a little upset after the escapades that had ensued just the night before.
"Sir, if I may, can we please stop this?" Tyson asked, flinching subtly when the glass rattled dully once more. Red eyes then focused on the officer below as he once knocked down. "I don't think he can handle any of that right now."
"Sure he can." Hazel eyes then watched as Evren evaded a kick, merely to catch a punch to the face. "See, he's fine."
Picking himself up, Evren panted harshly as he held his side. Watching the two androids that were closing the gap between them, the officer took a step back before evading another punch to the head. Dodging a kick that cracked the wall, he held up a hand to deflect right hook though couldn't stop the punch to the stomach that had him collapsing to the floor in a heaving mess.
"Sir-" He flinched when his subordinate had his lower back stomped on. "Sir, that's enough."
"Excuse me?" The man then glanced towards the ring as its lighting went out. "He's fine."
Gritting his teeth, Tyson stared down at the darkened space for a time before catching a small spark of light.
The interval between each of the flashes then began to grow before they ended altogether.
"Sir, I must insist that you-"
"Be quiet," he interjected. "If I wanted your opinion, which I don't at the moment, I'd ask."
"But-"
"Evren did well at speaking when spoken to."
Bowing his head, Ty glanced up when the glass rattled once more prior to cracking. A single spark, much smaller than before, then shot around the arena but it wasn't bright enough to illuminate the entire area. Any chance, however, was dashed when the light suddenly faded completely.
It remained that way and roughly ten minutes passed before the arena walls shook. The flickering lights of the skybox then had the officer looking up before covering his face as they shattered. Catching a humming sound of a potential surge, red eyes peered down through the darkness to see a weak source of light brightening at an accelerating rate.
Flinching as his radio began to go in and out, Tyson pull it from his shoulder before hearing the same thing coming from the intercom in the room. The cracking sound of glass then brought his attention back to what was going on in the ring.
It was going to be a repeat of what happened last night if this continued.
Glimpsing in the Director's direction for a brief moment, Tyson hopped over the ledge and into the arena a floor below. Landing on something hard, he pushed it out of his mind before making his way towards his target.
The hair on the back of his neck was standing on end.
He could practically feel the electricity everywhere.
Something, presumably a fist, then collided with the side of his face. Righting himself, the raven took a step back before holding up his hands. When a punch came again, he grabbed hold of the attacker's wrist before they got the chance to distance themselves. Shifting his weight, Ty flipped whoever the individual was onto the ground before kicking them away and hopefully a safe distance away. Focusing on who had come for, Tyson brought up a hand to shield his eyes from the light as it seemed to hit a new high in radiance.
Ducking in time to avoid a possible strike from a stray bolt, Tyson stared at the anomaly until they spotted the white-haired man standing at the center of it with his head down. Dodging another potentially lethal attack, Ty eased towards his subordinate with his hands held up.
"Evren? Hey, can you hear me?" Grimacing at the silence, other than the increasing flux in power, Tyson slowly brought a hand up to the man's shoulder before yanking it back as he was zapped. "Evren, calm down!" Cradling his hand for a second more, the man looked around, finding it quite difficult to see much with the light shining so ridiculously bright. "Ren-"Aforementioned merely swayed before stepping around the man. "Evren, wait-!"
Turning in time to see the other balling up a fist, Tyson took a step back when all of the stray streams of power began to centralize around Evren's closed hand. Taking a step back as the man took one forward, Ty held up his hands quickly only to have his partner pivot and throw the punch in the completely opposite direction.
First came the crunching sound of metal prior to the whining sound of circuitry being overwhelmed. Seeing how Evren had yet to pull his hand back, Ty snagged the collar of his shirt and yanked the man back before whatever he had punched finally began to self-destruct.
"Hold your fire."
Looking up, red eyes narrowed before the power was restored to the room once more. Seeing at least twenty men standing along the upper half of the training facility, armed with just about everything in their arsenal, Tyson looked towards their employer to see him watching both of them carefully.
"Sir-!"
"Why did you interfere?"
"He could've died, sir!"
"Watch your tone."
Ty looked around to see the holes in the wall and flooring. "What were you trying to accomplish by doing all of this?!" he all but growled at the man, earning the attention of all the other armed men in the room.
"Why are you so attached?"
"Why did you do this to him? Is this about last night?!" the raven questioned once more. "Answer me!"
"…son." The raven looked down as pale fingers grasped at his shirt. "Ty…"
"Ren, hey, are you alright?" Gritting his teeth as mismatched eyes began to slip shut; Tyson turned his attention back to the Director only to see that he was no longer there. "Dammit…." Shifting his hold on the other, Ty glanced at Evren as he began to sink lower. "C'mon, you gotta help me out here. You're not exactly light."
"Tyson." Looking over his shoulder to see the Director watching him, Ty took a step back. "Why are you so attached to this one?"
"Why did you make him do this?"
"Answer me."
"Why-"
Sighing as he massaged the side of his head, the older man clenched his jaw as he felt his eye twitch. "He's-"
"Why?!" Red eyes then focused on the paler male as he began to sink towards the floor. "Ren, stand up."
"This place is obviously becoming too much for him," he stated as he gestured towards the white-haired man that still seemed to emit sparks every so often.
"He just needs a vacation," Tyson countered. "You've been working him since day one!"
"9026A, get up already."
"Who are you talking to?"
"902-"
"…ren."
"Excuse me?"
Pulling himself into a more upright position, Evren released the raven in favor of standing on his own. "If…you're going to address me, p-ple-" He staggered suddenly before holding the side of his head. "My name…" Having Ty get him back to his feet, Evren, held his head tighter. "My…name is…is Evren."
Fishing through his pocket, Tyson withdrew two capsules and presented to his teammate. "Take these." When the officer made no attempts at taking them, Ty pressed them against Evren's mouth, merely to have his hand swatted away. "Evren-"
"I don't want it." Pushing himself away from the raven, Evren made his way over to his boss. "Sir."
Eyeing the younger man, the Director withdrew an aspirin and held it out. "Take it."
"Sir-"
"That is an order, Evren."
"Of course it is," he replied as he took the pill.
Watching as the man put the small capsule in his mouth, their employer slid his hands into his pockets before turning away. "Due to certain circumstances and complications, you will no longer be a part of the task force."
"Sir!" Hazel eyes darted towards the raven as he took a step forward. "You can't do that!"
"I can and I just did." The man then looked to the quieter officer. "You're being reassigned, Evren."
"Sir, you can't go reassigning my members!" Tyson shouted.
"Tyson, that's enough."
"That isn't fair. You can't-"
"Evren-"
"Evren, are you honestly ok with this," Tyson interjected.
"I don't have a choice in the matter," he replied.
"Yes you do!"
"Evren."
Said person looked towards the Director. "I'm being reassigned; I understand, sir."
"Evren, you can't be ok with this!"
"You're dismissed."
Bowing at the waist as their boss took his leave, Evren straightened once the man had gone as well as the firing squad above them. Lowering his gaze momentarily, he walked towards the door, stopping only when the raven grabbed him by the shoulder.
"Ev-"
"Get over it." Shrugging the hand away, the white-haired officer walked to the door. "I'm being reassigned."
"But-"
"There's nothing you can do."
"Ren-"
"Nothing!" Walking out into the hall, he combed his fingers through his hair before dropping his hand back to his side. "My out-processing paper will be on your desk no later than tomorrow afternoon."
Hurrying down the hall to catch up to his teammate, Tyson spun him around, only to be pushed away. "Ren-"
"Don't call me that."
"But-"
"Just don't!" Holding up a hand, Evren shook his head slowly as he backed away from the other. "We're not supervisor and subordinate; we're no longer coworkers."
"Ren-"
"We're not even friends! If anything, this is my chance to get away from you and your excessive and unprofessional displays of affection!" Keeping his hand up as he continued to back away, Evren finally dropped it back to his side as he diverted his gaze towards the window. "Everything was fine before I got here. Everything was fine before I was tasked to be on a team with you!"
"Evren-"
"Just leave me alone!" Hearing the bulbs shatter, Evren bowed his head as he clenched a fist at his side. "I'm going to start my out-processing now. In that time, please, just leave me alone. The quicker I do this, the quicker I can leave this place and start over." Pulling a shard of glass from his hair, he watched the thin, red rivulet of blood run down his finger before casting it aside. "I'll leave and you will receive a new teammate.
"I don't want another teammate. We came here together! This reassignment is unfair!"
"Your opinion doesn't matter. I'm being reassigned and there's nothing that will stop that, Tyson."

"Hey, CL!"
"Where'd that brat go?"
Looking over the ledge of crumbling high rise, dark brown eyes watched as the duo walked along the old, unkempt lane. Following from the roof, Calix stepped down onto a stone gargoyle before dropping to a ledge a story or so below.
Staggering as a sharp yet fleeting pain shot down his side, the raven held onto the ledge as he cradled the affected area. Taking one then two steps, the teen walked off the ledge before grabbing hold of an old power line, stopping his descent several stories from the street below him. Swinging over to grab a flag staff, he dropped down the ground before having his knees buckle beneath him.
Hearing the sound of footsteps, Cal tensed before picking up his head to see the redhead staring down at him.
"Did your dumbass fall off a building or something?"
"Yes, I fell from one story to another story if that's what you're implying, you smug bastard," came the snarky reply. "Now help me up before Will-"
"CL!"
"…finds me like this…"
"CL, what happened?" Will questioned, shoving Renyx aside.
"Hey-!"
"CL, what happened?"
"Nothing," he said, getting to his feet in fluid motion. "I'm fine, W-"
Grabbing the raven by the sleeve of his jacket, Renyx scowled as the teen winced. "Stop hopping all over the damn place. You weren't even released more than three days ago."
"I'm fine," Calix groused, wrenching his arm free.
"CL-"
Taking several steps back, Cal offered a smile. "Honestly, I said I'm fine. Trust me. I wasn't injured too badly."
"You were just released a few days ago," Will countered. "You need to take it easy!"
"I'm fine."
"Your old man asked us to keep an eye on you and you go running off the first chance you get!" Tawny eyes locked onto the narrowed brown ones. "Sit your happy butt somewhere and relax! You're not invincible!"
"I know that!" Cal then grabbed his side. "I know, ok? I'll…take it easy."
"That's right!"
Punching the older man in the arm, Will then lowered her friend's hand in favor of looking at the bandages that were beginning to come undone. "CL, did you take your meds today."
"They make me sleepy."
To that, the female raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"
"Well…they make me…" Will narrowed her eyes. "…sleepy?"
Rifling through her own pocket, she pulled out two different colored pills. "Will figured you wouldn't take them on your own." Cal made a face. "You're gonna worry him to death. Take them and stop being so damn stubborn."
"But-"
"You can either take them willingly or I will lace everything you eat with them."
"You wouldn't dare," Calix shot back.
"Try me."
Scowling momentarily, the raven snatched the medication from his friend before popping them into his mouth. Glancing at the redhead to see him holding a water bottle, Calix downed the whole container before staggering.
"I gotcha," Renyx said as he draped his friend's arm over his shoulder.
"Where are we going?"
"Well, you're going back to go rest." The teen narrowed his eyes. "You need to rest. You're gonna put Mal in an early grave if you keep making him worry about you the way that you do!"
Looking elsewhere, Calix grumbled to himself until they reached a boarded building. Seeing Will step up to it, card in hand, it didn't take long for the woman to get the door open just like everything else. After she tucked away the key, and the entrance slid shut behind them, Calix pulled away from Renyx in favor flopping over to the couch stationed nearby. Just as he was about to close his eyes, he wiggled around when he felt something moving beneath him. Arching his back a bit, he scooped his hand under him before pulling out SHU, who currently was hissing and growling up a storm.
"SHU, play nice," Will urged as the small bot hopped down and scampered towards her. "As for you CL…" She turned to see him passed out on the couch. "…never mind."
"Hey, Will?"
Said person walked into the next room with a finger pressed to her lips. "He's sleeping."
"I don't like this."
"I know you don't but he's not going to get any better if he keeps moving around the way that he is."
Combing a hand through his mohawk, Renyx walked towards a side door with Will at his heels. Coming outside, he lit a cigarette as he leaned against the wall simply to have his friend snub the thing out.
"Will-"
"Killing your lungs isn't going to help anything, you know?" Tawny eyes averted themselves. "C'mon," she said. "He's gonna be fine. He always is."
"Always, huh?" The woman shrugged. "Ok, fine. Whatever," he said as he lit another cigarette.
"That's seven minutes off your life."
Having the thing snatched away to be snubbed out once again, Renyx narrowed his eyes at the woman before sighing in frustration. "Shall we continue?"
"I thought you'd never ask, Renyx." She then rocked on her heels before pushing herself from the wall. "Now then, let's get going. We have a lot of work to do before tomorrow night."
"Yeah, yeah," he groused as he followed after her. He then slid his hand into his pocket before patting himself down. What the hell…?
"Are you looking for these?"
Ochre-colored eyes flitted back towards Will to see her holding a carton of cigarettes. "Willow…"
"You can have them back when we're finished," she said, shaking the small box over her head. "Let's go. Chop, chop! There's much to be done, Anthony."
"Don't call me Anthony…"he groused, watching the woman round a corner. "Damn task master."
"Anthony~!"
Cringing at the title, the redhead rolled his eyes soon after hearing Will say something about chucking the cigarettes into the sewer. "Woman, you better not!"
"Then get your ass in gear!" She then shook the box again before looking over her shoulder to see her friend mumbling up a storm of indecencies. "What was that?"
"Oh, nothing…."he replied. "Can I have those back?"
"Not until we're finished, Anthony."
