After finishing my breakfast, I get up and head out of the front door. I have to catch the bus, I don’t usually do that but I guess there’s no harm in trying. Boy I must say I look like a full course meal, my hair all straightened, brushed and smelling like berries, my clothes bring out the shape of my body, my perfume has me smelling like a million dollars and just everything about me. The bus stop isn’t far from my house so thumbs up on that one, there are quite a lot of kids here but I’m not too sure which ones go to my school because there is no uniform.
Oh my gosh there’s a girl walking up to me right now. “Hey, my name is Keelie but most people call me Keel , are you new around here?” “Yeah, I’m Ashleigh, L-E-I-G-H, not L-E-Y. “Do you always introduce yourself like that?” She said. At this point I’m a little annoyed at the comment she made but whatever, people call her Keel, like kill and peel so excuse her. She seems like a total bitch, and I like that, I mean you can’t go around being friends with girls that aren’t mentally strong. “Yeah, what’s wrong with it?” I asked “Nothing, just asking” she replied. I had to know whether I was going to be seeing this Keelie often so I asked her if we were going to the same school, you won’t believe what she said. So apparently there’s only one school in this area which means all these people go to the same school as me.
Keelie and I waited around talking for about ten minutes before the bus arrived, we got on pretty well and I think we could actually be friends. “Tell you what Ashleigh not L-E-Y, let’s skip the beginning of school today and go to the shops, it’ll be you, Sean, Jordan and I”. I thought about it and it wasn’t the best thing for me to do, but after seeing Sean and Jordan I just couldn’t say no, especially to Jordan, he is fine.
The bus arrived and we hopped in. This place actually isn’t that bad, if anything it’s better, I could really get used to this. During the bus ride, The four of us had decent conversations and got to kind of know each other. As the bus stopped at my new school, everyone got off except the four of us. We stayed on for another five minutes and finally reached the shopping centre. It was big and fancy, better than any centre I’d ever seen before.
We got off the bus and made our way to the entrance, first we got some food then sneaked into the movies. Keelie and Sean seemed to really be at it, so Jordan and I kept our distance. We went inside a few shops empty handed and walked out with a bunch of “free” items. We went riding in trolleys and did much more things. I don’t know, for some reason it feels wrong that I skipped my first day of school, what are my parents gonna say? Talk about a bad first impression, what is the school going to think of me? I hope I haven’t painted myself out to be a bad person.
After being at the shops for three hours, it was now 11:30am and we were making our way back to school. “Hey Ashleigh, you should come to the party on Friday” said Jordan, this was honestly a surprise because I didn’t think I’d get invited to one this quick. Without thinking, I quickly answered “yeah, sure, that’d be nice”, “Cool, you can come home with me after school and we can go together, if that’s okay with you” Keelie suggested. “Yeah that’s fine” I grinned. For some reason I felt like I should’ve declined the offer, but I had nothing better to do, I’ll just ask my parents when I get home.
