and then they had breakfast.
"Rise and shine, Sleeping Beauty," Jean said as softly as he can, while also shaking her awake. "Breakfast is being served."
Leigh shot up from her sleeping position on his arm. She looked at him with squinted eyes as she tried to adjust to the light that was flowing in through the window. "What did you just call me?"
Jean froze before faking a carefree laugh. "Oh, right — that. Well, I called you Sleeping Buddy. Because you kind of slept on top of me for five hours and I think we have already reached that level of intimacy." Jean grimaced at what he had just said. That idiot only planned to get caught flirting on the second flight, not this early.
Jean saw the blush that was forming on Leigh's cheeks. "Yeah, thanks for that."
"Not a problem," said Jean as he cocked his head to the side and observed the girl beside him as she ordered her breakfast from the trolley. And he said he would like the same thing.
The conversation that followed didn't come as natural as breathing, but anything was better when Jean was able to be that close with Leigh.
