Just another fling

So here we are...

Stuck between our fears and dreams.

Living for the moment didn't work out too well,

With nothing that happened as it seems

To be, and now here we are under each other's spell.

Is this just a thing?

This warm feeling inside

Of a fling

That we need to hide?

Nothing happened, or so we thought.

What was once a chat became a charade

Of pretending so we wouldn't get caught,

But now the game has been played.

Is it right?

To feel like this

is in spite

of our bliss?

I thought I was in control of my emotions.

I thought you were too, but it was a bit too much

Too soon to keep in the simple motions

From the moment we first touched.

What happens now?

Now that we have things

that don't allow

us to have this fling?
