We find ourselves on earth. At a cabin near the city of Trousdale young Dante stand outside of it looking at his parents. They both smile at him happy that he was finally leaving to begin what he was waiting for some time.

DANTE: Yeah.
MAN: I got some words of advice for you.

MAN: You’re a Brassen. Your father is an Admiral, a tactical one at that. Your brother and sister are both captains and well known one at that. You have a Legacy to follow.
DANTE: My mother is a captain too.
MAN: Your mother ain’t their mother. Their mother was the captain of a grand Galaxy class. Your mother is the captain of a science ship. No one thinks of her when it comes to a Legacy.
DANTE: That’s unkind thing to say. Besides, I’m her child, therefore her legacy.
MAN: She’s got no family but you son. There isn’t much to go on. Anyhow, people will be looking to you. You make them see what you are and that you’re more that you are your own person.
DANTE: I intend.
MAN: And another thing is this war. You think it’s a simple thing; it’s much more than that. This war has destroyed lives.
You’ll be around people who’s been in the war longer than you have veterans you could say. They’ll try to convince that vengeance is the best reason to fight. Don’t listen to them. They’ll be dead soon enough and you along with them.
Don’t trust anyone. You think the Federation is a clean whistle; well you’re wrong about that. You want friends, people you can trust, make them at this training event. They haven’t been involved in politics what so ever.
DANTE: Got it.
MAN: And most important, seriously make friends. If you don’t, you’re a dead man. I’ve watched as many of my comrades perished on the field. It’s a law, have some have your back or you’ll end up dead, and make sure that you have their back.
DANTE: Make friends.
MAN: And most of all…don’t let it change who you are at the core. You’re a kind person I see…war can harden and destroy that. Don’t let it.

He runs to the edge and she was running once again. He growls and leaps to the ground. She looks back. He was right on her. He extended his hand and nearly grabbed her.
She dropped to the ground and slid under a transporter. It was a giant vehicle ten times the size of an 18 Wheeler with only one opening to slide under.
He panicked once again, but she was safe on the other side. He calmed down and growled once again under his breath. The transport was taking forever to get across.
She ran out of the city…the beautiful city with its spirals and overgrowth of green on them. She stood there and looked back. She saw the councilor running behind her. She felt herself disappearing and smiled. She was transported.

CAPTAIN: I’m sure I’ve never heard a language like that before. What are you?

She found herself in engineering. She walked to a console and patched all the ships systems into it. The Captain grabbed her by the shoulder.

She taps on a few of the buttons and starts a strange holographic image. She starts swiping on the image. The Captain and everyone around were in shock at what they were seeing.
They felt the engine rumble. She then placed the hologram away and relinquished control of the ship. She sat down and smiled at the captain.

ONBOARD THE USS BEGET NCC-0928

Dante was aboard the well-made Luna class vessel. This ship had the latest in weapons tech for a science vessel. They were pioneering a new technology on the ship he was on. It was the LS-186 torpedo or better known as the Light-Speed Torpedo, shorter yet the Light Torpedo.
It had a low explosive yield rating but it could travel at light-speed at its own power with Negated Matter Core or NMC energy. It had a maximum flight speed of about Warp 2.3. It could also penetrate shielding and there was a 2.5% chance that it could also penetrate hull from the high velocity and enter on the decks. The yield would be enough to kill crew members, perhaps important ones.
It was still a test weapon however. It was of no concern on how much destruction it caused. They needed results to see if it would be at least economic to have a few on every vessel.
He was happy to be aboard the vessel on his way to training. He was shown his room and settled in quickly. He jumped on the bed and soon fell asleep.
He could feel something was wrong in his sleep though. He awoke from his sleep. He could sense dark thoughts. It was as if he had grazed the stray thoughts.
He walked out of his room and went to engineering. No one really noticed him at first. He was there and he scanned the sector. There was a distortion they had just passed. Apparently it was nothing to notice though.
He knew that there was a ship there. The minds of the people he encountered were evil. It was not his fault that genetics gave him his telepathic powers…that they could reach far out in the reaches of space and grab the stray thoughts of others. Genetics that could be traced back to ancient Roman times and further still to an ancient alien race with a grand and beautiful history.
He was the descendant of it all. Now he was here in this time, and the problems that were existent then were still here in this time. He could feel the evil all around him the traitorous tones that his mother told him to not pay attention to.
Anyhow, he took control of the weapons with a back entrance no one knew about. He then fired the LS-186 torpedo. It rushes out into space.
He was grabbed by an officer. He looks in shock.

The captain leaves. The Officer grabs Dante and shakes him.

DANTE: I was trying to tell the captain I fired that torpedo towards earth.
OFFICER: Why would you do that?!
DANTE: To warn the people of Earth that they are about to be attacked. I think the DeSani are about to attack earth.
OFFICER: And why…no, how would you know that?
DANTE: I have…I was born with…(Sighs) Just a hunch.
OFFICER: Oh, and a torpedo traveling at Warp 2.3 can beat a fleet to earth? Huh?
DANTE: Actually, I reconfigured the parameters of the warhead. It can now travel at warp 9.9995. No DeSani ship can move faster than Warp 7.8. The fact that they were ahead, the warhead will hit the ship precisely.
OFFICER: And where was the ship?
DANTE: Sector 7566.
OFFICER: I’ve had enough. Don’t come back in here kid unless they assign you to do so. No more of your excuses. I’ve got to warn earth they might have a torpedo blow someone up.

They both get on a shuttle. Warren pilots towards their home. Amy takes the weapons. They are followed by DeSani shuttles. They are fired upon but the weapons miss.
Amy fires the aft phaser array and one of the shuttles is destroyed. Warren spins the shuttle through buildings and the other shuttle is destroyed.
They both look at an oncoming Starfleet shuttle and it is destroyed in front of them. Warren pulls up and then barrel rolls to the right and the beam misses them.
They soon arrive to their home. The shuttle lands and Amy and Warren get out. Amy heads inside. Warren looks back. Shuttles were defending their home town.
