說到搭公車或者巴士，很多人會搞不清楚 take a bus 和 get on a bus。

其實兩者都跟「搭車」有關，但意思不一樣。

take a bus 是指「搭公車」這個交通方式。

例如：

我每天搭公車上班。

You can take a bus to the city centre.56Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡzYZFPaoom3
你可以搭公車去市中心。

這裡的重點是「選擇公車作為交通工具」。

但 get on a bus 是指「上公車」這個動作。

例如：

我上錯公車了。

她在下一站上了公車。

相反，「下公車」要說：

下公車

例如：

我太早下車了。

不要說：

✘ get down the bus

這句很不自然。get down 通常不是用來說下車。

簡單分辨的話：

所以你可以說：

我搭公車去車站，在 Central 上車，在博物館附近下車。

搭車英文不難，最怕的是方向和動作搞亂。公車可以 take，上車要 get on，下車要 get off。千萬不要在車上 get down，那聽起來比較像你準備跳舞。
