"No, that's just your imagination."

"I definitely hear an ice cream truck."

"Why would an ice cream truck be out here at this hour?"

"I don't know, but it's my turn, and I want ice cream."

"I shall accompany you, Erunai."

"No, I'm fine on my own. You don't even want—"

"I know that you did not bring any money."

"…Fine, I didn't. I simply forgot."

"Hey, so while you both get ice cream, I'll just start up the car because I'm freezing and it's time to go home."

"Sounds like a plan."

"So Beth and Mik have finally decided on a wedding date."

"Is that so?"

"Yeah, August twenty-sixth. Beth was adamant that they be married on Tommy's birthday."

"What can I get ya?"

"A scoop of mint chocolate chip, please."

"Anything else?"

"Do you think Mark wants any?"

"If he had, he would have asked for some."

"True. But I'll get him some anyway, just in case. One scoop of vanilla, please, on a new cone."

"Coming right up."

"Do you think you'll be able to make it to the wedding?"

"I will be sure to attend. There is enough time to clear my schedule for that day."

"Good."

"Here you go! That'll be three dollars and twenty-four cents."
