Mr. Brigs, a notorious gang leader, places a huge bet on Joey and gives him steroids so that he would win Mr. Brigs bets as Joey competes in the 1986 Karate U.S. Open.  Once Joey loses to a girl despite his steroid intake, Mr. Brigs looses a lot of money.  As the gang seeks afer Joey, Talya, the girl who Joey lost against, and Talya's karate peers do what they can to help save Joey.  All hell breaks loose....
