Prologue.
The Legacy Left Behind.
It’s a nice calm quiet day with a slight breeze in a small town on this early afternoon.
The sign on the front of a facility that reads ‘Kumite Player's Martial Art's Supplies’ catches the attention of a young curious boy, who happened to be roaming the streets of this small town.
The young boy suddenly draws his attention to a manakin standing in the window that’s dressed in a Karate Uniform while in a fighting stance.
Standing next to it, is a manakin wearing a Jujitsu gi, as well as the manakin dressed as a Thai boxer and the one next to it dressed in a kung fu uniform.
Being so excited just looking at the manakins, the young boy’s interest is captured, which leads him to enter the store.

In the store…
As the boy walks about the store, he observes the different merchandises on display; Swords, Tanfas, Nunchucks, bo-staff, ext… and what the boy loves the best, the samurai armor inside of a tall glass box next to a glass box that contained the armor the Korean Hworang warriors used to wear in ancient times.
“Woah,” the boy silently says to himself.
The boy suddenly directs his attention to two attractive female Korean Tae Kwon Do instructors standing by a book rack while speaking Korean.
While carrying on their conversation, the two female Tae Kwon Do instructors step away from the rack as one of them sets a book back on the rack.
The young boy pays MOST attention to the book one of the female Tae Kwon Do instructors were holding.
As the book sits on the rack with its title showing, which was ‘Kumite Players,’ the boy approaches the rack and picks up the book, observes the title, then opens the book to the introduction page.
On the introduction page was a photo of a National State Champion karate team…
…Starting from the top row in the photo from left to right, Conrad X, who was a 64 year old karate master as well as an undercover cop, Tiffany, who was an EXTREMELY attractive seventeen year old first degree black belt Hawaiian girl with a muscular physique, but not so much the physique of a professional body builder, Careena, an 18 year old beautiful black girl with curly hair, Heather X, who was such an attractive 23 year old third degree black belt as well as a United States Marine, and Talya X, who was a 17 year old very gorgeous blond girl, 3rd degree black belt.
…Then there was the second, third, and forth row of black belt students.
A tall trophy stood on the right side of the group.
In the middle of the bottom row, there was a small square black board that read: ‘Las Vegas National State Championship Karate Tournament. 1986.’
The boy is really amazed as he views this photograph of this championship Karate team from 75 years ago.
At this very moment, the young boy clues in on the fact that the book he’s holding is a story book; regarding a great legacy that was left by this Karate team, and much more…. it’s about their adventurous life story.
Ston Armstrong, who’s an elderly Caucasian man with a slight bit of facial hair, 5'6", wears glasses, takes a short glance at the young boy flipping through the pages of the book, then after a few seconds, continues wiping the dust off a tall Karate trophy, which happens to be the same trophy from the photograph in the book the boy was thumbing through, checking the book for any additional pictures.
Of course, the trophy Ston wiped the dust off of is not for sale, but only for display as an important piece of décor for the Martial Arts supply store.
Being that the trophy is 75 years old, it’s more-so, an antique.
The young boy approaches Ston while Ston begins wiping the counter.
Just before getting Ston’s attention, the boy flips the pages of the book back to that of the karate team photograph.
“Excuse me, sir,” the young boy quotes.
Ston looks to see the boy and notices the book He has in his hand.
“That sales for $105.00,” Ston quoted as he wrongfully assumes the boy was gonna ask about the price of the book.
“Actually, sir, I wanted to know what kind of Martial art's book is this? It has no pictures of people demonstrating techniques,” the boy points out.
Ston takes a close look at the book the boy holds in his hand, and notices the title.
Ston answers the boy saying, “That's actually a biography book. Written by the team who founded this store years ago.”
The young boy observes the picture once more as Ston points to it.
“It’s a story about THAT very champion ship karate team you see in that photograph. How they stuck together during their accidental run in with a street fighting crew which I myself, happened to be a part of seventy-five years ago,” Ston explains.
“You knew those people?” the young boy asks while sounding somewhat impressed.
“Yes…” Ston answers. “The team and I were NOT properly introduced, however. Read the book carefully, and you will find that there is more to Martial Arts than punches, kicks, and techniques, but it's a way of life as well… about manners, how you respect yourself, and how you respect others…”
The young boy nods his head saying, “Okay, sir, I’ll buy it. I’ll purchase the book.”

In the boy’s bedroom; later that evening…
The boy relaxes on his bed and opens the book. He flips through the pages until he reaches chapter one of the story, and began reading.
And this is how the story begins…

State Championship Finals.

Date: 75 years earlier… late August, 1986.
It’s the day of the U.S. open Karate Championship tournament in Las Vegas Navada…
Armstrong, who’s a tall Caucasian male with his hair slicked back, wearing a karate uniform and a black belt, is in the middle of a martial arts demonstration as he balances on eggs while holding a torch in one hand, and a glass whisky bottle in another hand.
Armstrong holds the torch up to his mouth and blows a blaze of fire.
This really amazes the crowd, even though many people in the audience have seen this type of performance before.

Moments later…

Another man performs his demonstration by breaking bricks with kicks, punches, and with a head strike.
The audience applauds.
Members of his karate school come and pick up the pieces of the bricks for the purpose of making room for the next demonstration.

Some short time later…
The final demonstration is taking place.
A Karate master is surrounded by lit candles.
One by one, the Karate master extinguishes the fire on the candles by throwing palm strikes, but without even touching the flames on the candles, nor the candles themselves.
The audience applauds.

A short time later…
There are dozens of rings with people sparring.
In one of the rings, two people are in their fighting stances.
One person executes a punch and a kick. His opponent shuffles back to avoid the strikes, then shuffles to the side to avoid an additional kick, then he executes a spinning side kick to his opponent, knocking him down.
People in the audience cheer.

In another ring…
Two fighters are in their fighting stances.
As the opponent wearing the red ribbon attempts a spinning heel kick, the opponent wearing blue sweeps him to the floor.
The ref steps between the two fighters and points at the fighter wearing the blue ribbon saying, “Point, blue!”
People in the audience cheer and clap.

In another ring…
Talya, who’s wearing a red ribbon on her belt, and another girl, who’s wearing a blue ribbon on her belt, trade punches and kicks.
Talya throws a spinning heel kick to the girl's head, knocking her down.
As the girl gets back up, the ref steps in between Talya and her opponent saying, “Point, red!”
In the audience, Conrad and Gunchi watch with excitement.
“Way to go Talya!” Conrad utters.
“Your daughter Talya, really good,” Gunchi compliments while speaking with a Japanese accent.
“Yes, Talya works very hard. I always push her and the team,” Conrad quotes.
“Yes Mr. Conrad X,” says Gunchi. “I watch you teach.”

In the hallway of the stadium…
Three suspicious looking men walk together.
First guy is Mr. Brigs, who’s a middle aged bald black man.
Second guy is Darrel, who’s a Caucasian man with long hair in a ponytail, and Russel, who was another Caucasian man with long hair in a ponytail.
These three men are leaders of a fighting gang. Mr. Brigs is the main leader.
In their organization, they would give their karate fighters steroids, and they would make a bet against other gamblers on their fighters who they train.
So far, they have won at least 100,000 dollars.
That was a lot of money back in the 1980’s.

Tiffany holds two focus mitts for Talya to kick, while Careena stands behind Talya holding a kicking target.
Talya executes kicks to the focus mitts.
Talya than executes a back kick to the target behind her.
“Come on, a few more,” Tiffany encourages.
“No Tiffany that's enough,” Careena suggests. “She got a big fight in a few minutes. Against a BOY who won first place. Let her exhaust herself out there.”
“Wow, Talya. I can't believe you and this guy agreed to compete against each other sparring,” Tiffany says.
“Well,” Talya responds while shrugging her shoulders. “On the streets my attackers gonna be a man most likely.”
“Well, this boy is no attacker,” Tiffany responds. “He's a first place third degree black belt competitor just like you.”
“Then we'll just have to see who's best,” Talya replies. “Me and Joey agreed to this, the judges agreed to let us, the crowd agreed to see it.”
“Oh yeah, that's his name?” Careena quotes. “Joey.”
“Yes, that’s his name, Careena,” Talya says. “They announced it a hundred times.”
“Well maybe I didn't catch it until now because I was TOO busy focused on YOUR competition and ours,” Careena responds.
“Well anyway, like I said, Joey and I both agreed to give the crowd a good fight to watch,” Talya redundantly quotes.
“You know, Talya, maybe Joey wants to challenge you because he thinks you're cute,” Tiffany suggests. “Sometimes a guy has a fetish for a girl to hit or kick him.”
Talya responds by shrugging her shoulders and replies with, “…If he loves it when cute girls hit and kick him, then maybe you’re right.”
Suddenly, all three girls jump in fright at the sound of the door to the locker room opening.
To Talya, Tiffany, and Careena’s surprise, it’s Heather, who’s dressed in Marine Corps camouflage.
It’s a surprise visit for Talya, for Heather had to request a short notice military leave of absence and catch the soonest flight to Las Vegas to see Talya’s competition in the Championship State Finals.
However, the soonest flight Heather could take only got her here in time to see Talya’s final match… against Joey.
I guess that would have to be aright by HER!!!
“Big SIS!” Talya utters with excitement as she and Heather dashed towards each other and hug.
“What a surprise!” Talya quotes.
“I was surprised as well…” Heather replies. “To receive a call from dad and hear that my third-degree black belt little sister is fighting in the state finals.”
Heather then happily greets Tiffany and Careena with a hug.
“Heather, you must’a requested a short notice leave of absence to get here all of a sudden,” Tiffany suggests.
“Exactly.” Heather replies. “…Had to see Talya in the state finals. Couldn’t miss.”
“Well, you missed all of me and Tiffany’s fights,” Careena quotes. “But you’re just in time to see Talya’s final match.”
“And it’s a special match too,” Tiffany adds.
Heather puts a confused look on her face saying, “Special, how and why?”
“Well, Talya won first place in girl’s division, and the GUY who won first place in the men’s division. Both agreed to fight each other,” Tifany explains.
“Okay, I knew something told me I’m glad I made it here when I did,” Heather reveals. “How much time do you have until the fight, Talya?”
“Let’s get out there now,” Talya suggests.
“So good to see you, Heather. What a surprise. I didn’t expect to see you until next March.” Talya says out of excitement.
“Change of plans like I said…” Heather replies redundantly. “Wouldn’t miss my little sister in the State Finals for the world… especially a special sparring match against the first-place boy.”
“They have co-ed matches in the state finals now?” Heather asks while having a very confused look on her face.
“Yeah, sis,” Talya says sarcastically. “No. It’s just me and the guy who won first place who agreed to fight each other.
“Just for pride,” Careena adds.
“Well knock him out, sis,” Heather encourages.
Thinking that’s not an appropriate way of telling her to win, Talya replies with, “Sis, don't say knock him out, that's not honorable encouragement. Say win.”
“Okay sis, win,” Heather corrects herself. “Forgive me for the last statement.”
Talya and Heather hug.
“It’s okay, Heather, everyone speaks wrongfully from time to time,” Talya says.

In the men’s locker room…
Joey, who’s a nineteen-year-old boy, the same guy Talya agreed to spar in competition with, sits on a bench wearing a karate uniform and a black belt, ready to be forced to take a steroid injection.
Russel is in the process of tying a rubber tube around Joey's right arm.
Joey, not wanting to endanger his health by having additional steroids injected into his bloodstream, utters, “No! Come on! I don't want any more of that stuff!”
“Relax, dude,” Russel said.
“It'll ALL be good once the fight's over and we’re richer... And you BETTER not lose to a girl!” Russel threatens.
Darrel then adds, “Yeah, don't you wanna beat this girl? Or do you wanna get beat BY a girl?”
Joey continues trying to pull away, but Russel grabs his arm tighter.
“Come on, man, stop resisting!” Joey uttered.
“Darrel, grab him!” Russel says.
Darrel grabs Joey’s other arm while saying, “Relax, kid! You're gonna make us some more big bucks.”
Mr. Brigs, who’s struggling to hear the person he was talking to on his walky talky over Joey yelling, places his hand over the receiver part of his walky talky so he could hear who he’s talking to better.
Darrel is over-heard uttering, “I said relax!”
“Stop moving!” Russel is then over-heard uttering.
Mr. Brigs starts walking towards Joey, Darrel, and Russel while feeling MOST annoyed and SUPER tired of trying to hear over their shouting.
“Don't give me no more of that stuff, man! I’m strong enough already!” Joey shouts.
Darrel draws out a knife and points it at Joey.
Joey suddenly calms down out of fear.
“Listen, kid,” Darrel quotes. “You're taking your medicine and you're gonna win us this bet. And you're not gonna say a word about this drug. YOU HEAR ME!?!”
Joey nods his head just as Mr. Brigs shows up where he was.
“Okay! I trust that ya’ll got everything under control here!” Mr. Brigs quotes.
“Everything's cool, Mr. Brigs,” Russel replies.
“Just Joey trying to be stubborn, but we handled it as you can see,” Russel adds.
Russel injects the steroids into Joey’s arm.
“Joey, don't you ACT up no MORE!” Mr. Brigs demands while pointing his index finger and moving it to the rhythm of his words.
“And I mean, NO more!” Mr. Brigs adds, moving his finger to the rhythm of his statement one more time.
Joey sighs with sweat running down his face, feeling the ‘RUUUUSSSSHHHHH’ of the steroids going through his body.
Mr. Brigs speaks into his walky talky saying, “I wanna make that three thousand on Joey. I think he can easily handle this first place female fighter.”

Conrad sits next to Gunchi.
Conrad has a bag of popcorn he’s eating when suddenly, Heather surprises him by approaching him and grabbing some of his popcorn.
“Hey, man,” Conrad says by automatic reaction just before he looks up and sees that it’s Heather, as she stuffed the popcorn into her mouth.
“HEATHER!” Conrad says while totally surprised, surely wasn’t expecting Heather to show up.
Heather wanted to surprise both Conrad and Talya!
Conrad excitingly stands to his feet. He and Heather give each other a ‘TIGHT’ hug that lasts rather; well… a few seconds at the most.
As the hug breaks up, Heather says so much with excitement, “Daddy! I flew here and caught a cab here as soon as I could! Sorry it wasn't soon enough to see Talya's recent fights!”
“I'm sure you're gonna love her fight against this first-place guy the best anyway,” Conrad mentions.
Conrad directs his attention to Gunchi saying, “Gunchi, here's my daughter in person. Lieutenant Heather X. United States Marine Corps.”
Heather and Gunchi shake hands.
“Heather, this is Gunchi. He just moved here from Japan,” Conrad explains with and introduction tone of voice.
“So, you the REALLY beautiful American Marine from photo graph,” Gunchi quotes.
Heather receives a slight weirded out look on her face as she says, “Ahhh, yeah, that’s me, Conrad’s eldest daughter.”
“Very pretty picture of you in uniform. It is radical,” Gunchi complements.
Heather’s slightly weirded out surprised look on her face remains as she didn’t know how to respond to Gunchi’s comment.
“I mean, it's rad,” Gunchi says while correcting himself.
“Thank you, Gunchi,” says Heather gratefully with a weirded out feeling. “I'm glad you admire me so much.”
Conrad snickers while shaking his head.
“Heather have a seat if you’re gonna sit,” Conrad suggests. “You're blocking people's view.”
Heather occupies a seat next to Conrad.

The match everyone waited to see has now started…
Joey blocks Talya's front snap kick.
Talya executes another front kick. Joey blocks the kick and executes a front roundhouse kick, followed by a spinning sidekick, knocking Talya down.
The referee steps in between Talya and Joey, then he points to Joey saying, “Point.”
Russel, Mr. Brigs, and Darrel cheer with high hopes… with high hopes WAAY too soon in fact.
Mr. Brigs even says with confidence, “I'm gonna win this bet!”
Meanwhile, refusing to give up hope, Gunchi, Tiffany, Careena, Conrad, and Heather speak encouragement saying, “Come on, Talya!”
Talya attacks with a left jab followed by a right cross.
Joey parries both punches and executes a spinning back fist to Talya, hitting her.
The referee steps in.
“Are you okay?” the referee asks.
Talya nods her head saying, “Uhmm Hmmm. I’m tough. I’m okay.”
Now Russel, Derrel, and Mr. Brigs now cheer with even higher hopes.
“Just a few more points and we’re there,” Derrel says on terms of winning the bet.
“Come on, Talya!” Tiffany shouts.
“FIGHT!” the referee utters.
Both Talya and Joey are back in their fighting stances.
Joey bounces a slight bit, then fakes as if he was going to attack Talya.
Talya flinches.
Joey fakes an attack once more, causing Talya to flinch a second time.
At the same time Joey executes a spinning heel kick, Talya sweeps Joey to the ground and punches him in the face.
Referee steps in between them shouting, “BREAK!”
Conrad, Gunchi and Heather, Tiffany, and Careena now have their hopes sky high while cheering, being that they see that Talya isn’t giving up.
“That’s it, Talya honey!” Conrad utters.
“Do it, sis!” Heather shouts.
Joey executes a side kick.
Talya parries the kick to the side, executes a punch to Joey's face followed by another to his stomach.
Joey grabs his stomach while hurting, having half of his wind knocked out of him from Talya’s hard solid punch.
Referee steps in between them.
“Break!” Referee pointed to Talya uttering, “POINT!”
The referee observes Joey catching his breath and asks him, “Are you okay? Can you continue?”
Joey nods his head ‘YES’.
Mr. Brigs, Derrel, and Russel are now losing hope in Joey as well as winning the bet, which has them prematurely very upset.
“Aww come on, Joey! You have extra strength for Christ sakes!” Mr. Brigs utters out of frustration.
Talya and Joey are both in their fighting stances. Joey charges at Talya with a forward jump scissor kick.
At the same time, Talya jumps into the air and kicks Joey with a jump side kick to the stomach.
“OOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!” Joey shouts REALLY loud as this time, all the air shoots out of his body from Talya foot making HARD impact with his stomach.
Joey hits the ground struggling to breathe while quickly and urgently removing his mouth peace.
Realizing what she did, Talya rushes over to Joey to make sure she hadn’t injured him badly.
Joey continues to struggle for breath as the referee helps him to catch his breath back.
Talya has a shocked look on her face as she takes her mouth-peace out of her mouth and puts her hands together praying to God saying, “God, please let there not be any serious damage.”
Joey starts catching his breath again. …Talya’s quick but desperate prayer is answered immediately.
“Thank you, God,” Talya says gratefully.
As Talya and the Referee help Joey back up, the audience cheers, showing GOOD sportsmanship.
“Can you continue?” The referee asks as Joey continues holding his stomach in agony.
Joey shakes his head ‘NO’, not wanting to continue because of the way his stomach is feeling.
…He actually thought he was gonna throw up.
“Aww come on Joey, suck it up,” Mr. Brigs stands up and utters out of anger and frustration.
In Conrad, Heather, Gunchi, Tiffany, and Careena’s area, Heather voices her opinion of Joey’s condition saying, “I don't think that guy can fight anymore. Talya probably broke his ribs.”
“If he IS unable to continue, then the match is gonna go to Talya by TKO,” Conrad mentions.
Just then, the referee holds up Talya's right arm, declaring her the winner.
People in the crowd cheered.
Russel, Mr. Briggs, and Darrel gestures in anger and disappointment.
Talya and Joey hug each other to show good sportsmen-ship.
After the hug ends, Talya asks with a tall load of concern, “Are you okay? I didn't break your ribs, did I?”
“No, I’m sure my ribs are fine,” Joey replies.
“You're a good fighter, Talya,” Joey adds.
“Thank you. So are you. You're so strong,” Talya points out.
“You're so pretty,” Joey come back with, causing Talya to blush.
What a coincidence it was in Joey’s opinion, that the first-place girl just happened to be his ideal woman for admiration…
Talya being absolutely attractive and at the same time, being a martial arts expert.
“Thank you, sir,” Talya says with a surprised look on her face as, of course, a form of blushing.
In Mr. Brig’s area of the audience, Russel, while feeling the deepest case of disappointment, quotes, “It’s over, man.”
“This is CRASY bull crud, man!” Mr. Brigs quotes, having NEVER in his LIFE been so disappointed over losing a bet.
Mr. Brigs’ disappointment is MOSTLY coming from the fact that he feels that Joey, having been given steroids, should have EASILY been able to defeat a girl and win him this huge bet.
Mr. Brigs’ walky talky beeps.
With humiliation, Mr. Brigs picked up his walky talky and presses a button, puts it up to his ear and quoted, “What dude?”
“You know what,” the person on the other line is heard replying. “Be ready to pay me. You got two hours,” the person on the other line replies just before disconnecting.

Chapter 3.
Karate Rescue.
In the parking lot…
It’s thirty minutes before sunset.
Careena, Tiffany, and Gunchi load their gear into the van they arrived in. They have changed back into their street clothes of course.
“Where are Conrad, Talya, and the girl in army uniform,” Gunchi asks, hoping someone would have an answer. He didn’t care who. Gunchi was just in a hurry to get on the road like the rest of them.
“Marine Corps, Gunchi, not army,” Tiffany corrects.
“Didn't you hear them?” Careena answers, then she continues with, “They said they were going to the bathroom. We have a four-hour drive. And I’m sure Sensei Conrad doesn’t wanna make any stops on the way.”
“I guess I did not hear,” Gunchi replies.

By the rear entrance of a building…
A bunch of gang members hang outside a back door to the men’s locker room, waiting for Mr. Brigs to bring Joey out. They’re gonna jump Joey for losing Mr. Brigs the bet.
And to top it all off, Joey lost to a girl… How humiliating is THAT???
So anyway, the door gets opened.
Russel, Mr. Brigs, and Darrel shove Joey out of the door.
Joey trips and falls to the ground.
The gang members laugh at Joey as he gets back up.
“What do you guys think you're doing!?!” Joey quotes.
Mr. Briggs says to the members of his gang, “Joey here lost us the bet. And to top it off, he lost to a girl… Have fun jacking him up. He makes me sick.”
Russel says to Joey, “Hey kid. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going!”
Mr. Brigs, Russel, and Derrel enter back into the building.
Darrel closes the door.
The gang members start towards Joey while getting ready to jump him.
“Okay, Joey, home boy!” one of the gang members says, then he adds, “For loosing Mr. Brigs the bet for all that money, it's time for you to get jacked up some more!”
“I’m SORRY!” Joey pleads.
“It’s much too late for that, home blood,” another one of the gang members quotes.

Meanwhile, in Heather, Conrad, and Talya’s area…
Heather, Conrad, and Talya walk together while headed for their van.
Talya, who has on her street clothes, wears two gold medals around her neck.
“Sis, you had me so worried,” Heather says to Talya, referring to Talya’s match with Joey.
“…Cause you thought I was getting hurt, or just cause I was losing,” Talya replies.
“Yeah, Talya, exactly what was wrong at the beginning of the fight?” Conrad asks with much concern.
It’s much too late for the concern of course you can see. Why??? Because Talya already won…
So anyway, Talya answers her dad saying, “That boy was... SUPER STRONG. He was like a machine. Can't imagine where all that strength on a skinny kid like that would come from.”
“Steroids maybe?” Heather suggests. …and it’s a lucky guess too.
Suddenly, they hear Joey uttering, “Help! LEAVE ME ALONE! Help!!”
Heather, Conrad, and Talya hustle around the corner, accidentally becoming witnesses to the gang members beating up on Joey.
A few at a time, the gangsters began noticing Heather, Talya, and Conrad.
As soon as Conrad gets a good look at what was going on, he utters, “Hey! What’s going on!?!”
Suddenly, the gang members cease from beating on Joey and direct their attention to Conrad, Heather, and Talya.
“Get away from the kid now!” Conrad orders firmly.
“Hey, SCRAM, SAM!” one of the gang members utter to Conrad.
“I’m not going anywhere!” Conrad contradicts.
“Crap! Heroes!” one of the gang members utters in reference to the presence of Conrad, Talya, and Heather.
“That's right! Now get away from the young man like I said!” Conrad replies.
“You think you’re superman, don’t you!” one of the gang members say to Conrad.
The gang members start towards Talya, Heather, and Conrad while anxiously prepared to try to take THEM out.
“Let’s see how tough they REALLY are,” one of the gang members quote.
“Let's jack these fools up!” another one of the gang members say with excitement.
“Yeah, let’s see how well they can describe us when they're all messed up and stuff,” another gang member adds.
“Yeah, let's mess'em up!" the others repeat.
“Oh God, what have we just jumped into?” Talya asks fearfully and rhetorically.
“Talya, go get security. Hurry up!” Conrad demands urgently.
“Dad, they'll chase me!” Talya contradicts.
“Talya go!” both Heather and Conrad scold in an even more demanding way.
Talya is finally persuaded and take off running towards the security office.
Three of the gang members chase after Talya while screaming, “Hey! Get back here!”
One of the gang members swing at Conrad with a bat. Conrad ducks and kicks the guy in the head with an outside crescent kick, knocking him down.
One of the guys swing at Heather with his fist. Heather blocks the guy’s punch and hits the biceps of the guy’s arm.
The guy holds his arm in agony screaming, “AAAAAAA you stupid broad!!!”
Heather removes her combat jacket, revealing a sleeveless shirt.
Another guy rushes up on Heather while drawing a knife saying, “Hey sexy looking Marine hot mama. You're dead meat…”
…the guy is stopped short at his last word as Heather kicks him in the face, then kicks him in the groin.
The guy holds his groin sounding funny while yelling in agony, “MY NUTTS! MY NUTTS!”
Heather then knocks the guy down with a spinning heel kick to the side of his face.
“MARINE HOT MAMA THAT! JERK!!!” Heather utters to the guy she just knocked down.
While on the ground crying, the gang member says, “I know you are! But what am I!?!”
Conrad knocks a guy down with a roundhouse kick to the side of the knee followed by a high roundhouse kick to the head.
Another guy rushes up to Conrad attempting to hit him with a stick.
Conrad kicks the guy in the stomach before the guy can swing the stick.
Conrad then kicks the guy with a flying side kick.
The guy flies into the rest of the gang, causing 70% of them to fall.
Joey still remains laying on the ground hurt while watching this, and at the same time, feeling relieved that Heather, Talya, and Conrad had come to his aid.
The guy with the knife attempts to stab Heather.
Heather catches the guy's arm and swings him around so hard, both the guy's feet lift into the air and hit another gang member in the head.
Just then, Heather releases the guy, letting both he and the other guy fall.
Heather and Conrad now stand back-to-back while surrounded by the gangsters.
“We’re gonna pound your heads into the ground,” one of the gang members utter to Heather and Conrad. Then the gang member says, “We’re gonna mess you up from head to toe!”
Conrad knocks that gang member down with a spinning heel kick.
Another gang member angrily moves towards Conrad saying, “You’re gonna pay for that! I’m gonna teach you a lesson to remember!”
Conrad kicks that gang member in the stomach, knocking the gang member down so hard his feet lift into the air.

Meanwhile, in Gunchi, Tiffany, and Careena’s area…
Gunchi, Tiffany, and Careena are starting to become impatient while waiting for Heather, Conrad, and Talya to return. They have no idea what’s going on…
Heather is planning to ride back to L.A. with Conrad and stay with him and Talya for the duration of her leave from Marine Corps active duty.
“So, the tall beautiful girl was stationed in my country?” Gunchi asks, forgetting Heather’s name.
“Gunchi, she has a name,” Tiffany corrects.
“I know. But she so beautiful,” Gunchi replies, skirting around the fact that he had forgotten Heather’s name.
“Dang, Gunchi, you just plain crazy about the child,” Careena says, meaning Heather of course.
Suddenly, Gunchi, Careena, and Tiffany are able to hear the chaos of Heather and Conrad fighting with the gang from a distance.
At that time however, they had no idea that this chaos involved Talya, Conrad, and Heather.
To them, it’s just noise.
“What’s that noise?” Tiffany asks rhetorically.
“It sounds like people fighting; you guys hear it?” Gunchi quotes.
Tiffany, Gunchi, and Careena pause to listen more closely. It’s now clear to them that a fight is going on.
“Yeah, I do. Sounds like some kind of riot going on,” Tiffany quotes.
“At a Karate tournament?” Careena quotes, feeling that a riot breaking out at a martial arts tournament is VERY unlikely.
…Not as unlikely as she thought, obviously.
“It's possible,” Tiffany replies. “...I mean, can't imagine what the fuss could be about, but it’s possible.”

Meanwhile, in Talya’s area…
Talya is still being chased by three gang members.
Talya runs as fast as she can towards a door that has ‘SECURITY OFFICE’ posted on it, when suddenly, one of the guys catch up to Talya and grabs Talya by the shirt.
Without thinking, Talya hammer fists the guy in the groin very hard, then breaks his jaw in three places as she spins around and tags him in the jaw with a back fist hammer strike.
Talya then executes a low side kick to the guy’s knee, breaking his leg.
Another guy runs towards Talya to attack her with a knife.
Before Talya even realizes the guy has a knife, Talya executes a spinning side kick to the guy's solar plexus, knocking all the wind out of his body.
The guy’s face shows extreme shock as he couldn’t believe the pain he was experiencing along with his inability to breathe.
The guy tries to toughen it out by turning around and walking away, but then he passes out from the extreme diaphragm pain.
The third guy charges at Talya with punches, driving Talya back towards the security office door.
Talya blocks every single thrown punch while being driven backwards, then finally, Talya catches the guy’s arm on the last punch and throws him towards the door to the security office.
Just then, the door gets opened, and then…
WACK!!!
The guy's head bangs the corner of the door, which knocks him un-cautious.
OUTCH!!!
Three security people, who have seen what was going on while looking out the window of the security office, scamper outside to see the three guys laid out and Talya being the only one standing.
BOY WERE THE SECURITY PEOPLE IMPRESSED! …even more impressed by Talya than when they saw her competing in her sparring matches.
“What’s going on? What the hell you fighting for?” one of the security people asks.
“Guys, please! You gotta help us!” Talya utters.
The first guy, who Talya hit in the groin, is bleeding from the nose, being that Talya has struck a certain main nerve in his reproductive organs when she hit him there.
“You’re kidding,” the security guard quotes.
“No, it’s my dad and my sister! They’re being attacked by gangsters while trying to help another victim! PLEASE come help us!” Talya urgently pleads.
The security people dash out of the office as one of them says, “Take us to them. Quick!”
The lead security guard turns to one of the security guards saying, “You, call an ambulance.”
“Okay, sir,” the security person replied.

Meanwhile, in Heather, Talya, and Conrad’s area…
A gangster angrily points at Heather saying, “I don’t care if you’re a girl! I’m going to beat you up!”
Heather executes a spinning inside crescent kick, knocking that gangster down.
There’s one gangster left standing while facing Conrad as he draws out a switch blade and presses the button; causing the blade to emerge from the handle in almost a nano second.
The gangster feels VERY confident that he had the advantage over Conrad, being that Conrad is unarmed.
“Don't be stupid, son,” Conrad advises the gangster on terms of him wanting to attack with a switch blade. “You know you're already in big trouble.”
The gangster comes back with, “No way, Jose! You’re the one in trouble, not me, PUNK!”
The gangster attempts to slice Conrad a few times and misses.
“I'm gonna cut you into pieces!” the gangster utters out of extreme anger. “And when I’m done with you, your own mother won’t even recognize you!”
The gangster attempts to slice Conrad again.
This time, Conrad catches the gangster’s arm, knocks the knife out of his hand, and throws him down where Joey is.
The gangster lifts his head up looking at Joey.
“What are you looking at?” Joey quotes, then Joey punches the gangster, knocking him out.
Suddenly, Tiffany, Careena, and Gunchi rush to the scene.
Just then, Talya shows up with a few security guards.
“Okay, what's going on here?” one of the security guards ask.
Conrad spots Joey trying to get up, then scampers over to Joey and helps him up.
“Are you okay, son?” Conrad asks Joey.
Joey replies with, “Yeah... I think so.”
Conrad directs his attention to the security guards saying, “Guys, in case my daughter hasn't told you; Joey here was becoming a victim.”
“I told them, daddy,” Talya verifies. Then Talya quotes, “I was afraid you, Joey, and Heather would be killed.”
“No, we're aright, honey,” Conrad replies. Then Conrad directs his attention to the security guards saying, “Guys, we need the Las Vegas Police here right away.”

Outside of the security office…
Later that evening, 30 minutes after the sun had just set.
A car pulls up with Armstrong in the driver's seat and parks.
10Please respect copyright.PENANAseHk7TPyw5
Inside of the car…
A beautiful black woman named Tabitha, who’s the daughter of Mr. Brigs, is in the passenger's seat in the front.
In the back seat sits a medium height beautiful Caucasian woman named Jahida, and a short beautiful Caucasian woman named Corais.
“Okay,” Tabitha says, then she says, “According to dad, this is where those three witnesses intervened.”
“Three people jacked up our entire group of our people?” Jahida asks.
To cause this to make sense to Jahida, Armstrong mentions, “Keep in mind that one of those witnesses were the female black belt competitor who beat Joey. …BARELY beat Joey.”
“Yeah. With the steroids Darrel and Russel gave Joey; how was that chick able to even beat him at all?” Tabitha asks rhetorically.
“Wait, who told you, Armstrong, that one of the three witnesses was that girl who fought Joey and won?” Corais asks.
“Who do YOU think told me?” Armstrong replies, to say in other words that he would most likely hear about it from the other gang members in their gang.
Armstrong draws out a bottle of whisky from his pocket saying, “You know what guys, I just came up with a better plan to get those three witnesses back who jacked up our people.”
Tabitha looks at Armstrong funny as she observes Armstrong holding the bottle of whisky.
“Get the three witnesses back, Armstrong?” Tabitha quotes. “Looks more to me like you're suddenly in the mood to get drunk?”
“No, dummy,” Armstrong replies, then he quotes, “Just watch and you’ll see what I have up my sleeve. And you’re gonna love it too.”
Corais steps somewhat on the cautious side while getting the feeling that Armstrong is planning to burn the three witnesses by blowing fire on them.
“Armstrong, wait. If you're gonna do what I think you're gonna do, don't do it,” Corais suggests.
“Are you actually thinking of starting a fire?” Jahida asks.
“Just on them... Not to the entire building,” Armstrong replies.
“Yeah, Armstrong,” Tabitha agrees, then she says, “We know you're not intending to burn the whole building down. But lighting the good Samaritans on fire; that’s a bit extreme. Even for US.”
Armstrong gestures in frustration saying, “Look! Do you girls want these three witnesses taken care of or not!?!”
It’s suddenly silent in the car.

Inside of the security office…
Conrad, Joey, Talya, and Heather are being questioned by a police Lieutenant of the Las Vegas police department.
“You’re a Police officer yourself as well, Mr. Conrad X?” the police Lieutenant asks Conrad.
“I AM… But I'm with the LOS ANGELES Police department. We came here to Las Vegas for the Karate U.S Open event. My daughter and two of her friends competed,” Conrad answers.
“Your daughter,” the police Lieutenant confirms.
The police Lieutenant directs his attention to Heather and asked, “Who, YOU?”
“No, me,” Talya answers.
“Yeah, I’m the visiting older sister,” Heather mentions.
“Okay, thank you,” the police Lieutenant says.
The police Lieutenant then directs his attention to Joey saying, “And you, wanna tell us why you were being jumped by these gangsters outside the building?”
Being afraid of getting in trouble for being involved with the illegal street fighting gang forcing him to take steroids, Joey hesitates while saying, “Ummm. . . Well, you see. . . Umm. . .”
Being able to tell that Joey was thinking of a way to skirt around the question, Conrad cuts Joey off saying, “Joey, don't make up a lie.”
“Am I gonna get in trouble if I tell you this?” Joey asks the Police Lieutenant.
“How should I know? We haven't heard what you have to tell me yet,” the police Lieutenant answers.
Joey sighs out of nervousness.
“Come on, Joey, son. Tell him what’s going on. Don't waste our time,” Conrad orders. “We have a long drive back to Los Angeles as it is.”
“Okay, this guy who goes by the name of Mr. Brigs drugged me with steroids and placed bets on me to win my karate matches,” Joey admits.
At the sound of the word steroids, Talya becomes beyond surprised and quotes, “Steroids? No wonder you had such powerful blows when we sparred.”
Heather and Conrad cut into Talya’s last word saying, “Talya, shhhh,” almost simultaneously.
“Talya!” Heather quotes.
Talya nods her head in agreement, realizing that she interrupted off topic when she should have kept quiet.
Joey continues his important answer to the cops with, “Okay, like I was saying, he drugged me with steroids and placed a bet against someone over his walky-talky. If I were to win my final match, I would win him five thousand dollars.”
“Five thousand dollars, that's a big bet, Joey,” the Police Lieutenant responds.
“Let me guess,” the Police Lieutenant quotes, then he says, “This guy named Mr. Brigs had his people jump you because you cost him five thousand dollars by losing your fight against Talya?”
Talya has a weird/surprised look on her face.
“Exactly, officer,” Joey answers.
“Where are you from, Joey? You and this gang? Where do you guys live?” the Police Lieutenant asks.
“We live in the Orange County area of California,” answers Joey. “The gang is actually a prize fighting crew that fights for money. And it just so happens that some of us train for and participate in Karate events such as this one that took place here today. Our gang is called the Pirates.”

Meanwhile, outside of the office, in the hallway…
Gunchi, Tiffany, and Careena wait impatiently, all over the fact that they expected to have left a long time ago and already be on the freeway back to Los Angeles before dark.
But now it IS dark, and they are especially impatient via not knowing how much longer Conrad, Talya, Heather, and Joey are gonna be.
With frustration and an impatient voice tone, Careena quotes, “Gees, it takes them THIS long to tell the police what just happened here?”
“Why don't you knock at the door and see if they're almost done yet,” Tiffany suggests.
“Tss, girl please! I ain’t knocking at no door! You knock at the door and see!” Careena replies.
“You’re the one who’s complaining about this being too long of a wait,” Tiffany quotes. “Not me.”
“Well, I’m not stupid enough to interrupt no police investigation,” Careena says.
“Well, what makes you think I’M stupid enough?” asks Tiffany.
“Tiffany, you want the same thing the rest of us want. And that's to go home. It's a freaking four-hour drive,” Careena says with frustration.
“Careena, we'll get home,” Tiffany encourages… at least she attempts to encourage Careena to calm down with this statement she made. “My house, your house, it’s not going anywhere.”
At a distance, two black guys with jury curls, one light skinned, and one dark skinned, enter the hallway walking towards Careena, Gunchi, and Tiffany.
Armstrong appears in the hallway catching up to the two guys.
“Girls, this is much less stressful if you two don’t argue. This Investigation is very important to these police folks,” Gunchi says.
“Thank you for counseling, Gunchi,” Tiffany says sarcastically.
As soon as the two black men and Armstrong are in speaking range of Tiffany, Gunchi, and Careena, they get their attention.
“Hey ya’ll! We KNOW you with that man and those two girls who jacked up our folks! Tell us where those two girls and that man is,” the light-skinned black man demands. “Because nobody messes with the Pirates!”
“Yeah!” the dark-skinned black man said.
“Excuse me?” Careena says with an attitude while in defensive mode.
“First of all, who are YOU guys? And WHAT are you guys TALKING about?” Tiffany quotes while trying to miss lead them into thinking that they have the wrong people.
But Armstrong and these two black men are too smart to buy into Tiffany’s statement though. …for Armstrong have only SEEN them together earlier. …all through the tournament in fact.
“Don't play dumb with us, girl!” utters the dark-skinned black man. “Now I said we SAW ya’ll running up to the man and those two chicks after they jacked up some of our folks! One of them had on a military uniform! Still wanna play dumb with me!?!”
Armstrong points to the office door saying, “They're in that office, ain't they!?! I’m sure there’s no other reason the three of you would be hanging around here.”
“Look, check this out. We don’t want any more trouble this evening. So why don’t you guys just buzz off.” Gunchi quotes. …Suggests more-so.
“Okay, that’s enough talking. They wanna play stupid instead! Burn them from head to toe!” the light-skinned black man says.
“We’ll teach you guys not to mess with the Pirates!” the light-skinned black man adds.
Tiffany, Careena, and Gunchi panic as Armstrong lights the torch and blows fire in their direction.
The sprinkler system comes on.
“OH SHOOTS!” Armstrong and the two men with him yell simultaneously.
“AWW MAN!!! Let’s get out of here!” Armstrong said in a panic, a panic that was caused by the sprinkler system and the fire alarm.
“Yeah, let’s boogy!” the dark-skinned black man says.
The light skinned black man, dark skinned black man, and Armstrong take off running.
Having heard all the chaos and commotion from inside the office, the Las Vegas police, Conrad, Talya, Heather, Joey, and Security exit through the door.
“Hey!” the police Lieutenant yells to Armstrong and the two men with them. “Stop right there!”
The police Lieutenant along with Conrad, chases Armstrong and the two black men while nearly slipping and falling on the wet floor.
Conrad draws his gun yelling, “FREEZE!”
Armstrong and the two black men refuse to stop as they exit out the door they entered through.

In the parking lot…
As the two cars containing the gangsters screech off towards the parking lot exit, both Conrad and the police Lieutenant busts through the door aiming their guns at the two cars while simultaneously yelling, “FREEZE!!!”
But it’s too late.
…Both cars are already practically zooming out of the parking lot, nearly crashing into other cars that swerve out of the way to avoid being hit.
Conrad sighs in MASSIVE frustration.
“SHOOTS! Just our luck!” Conrad utters.
“We better go check out your party,” the police Lieutenant suggests.

Meanwhile; in the hallway of the building…
Gunchi is striving to calm Tiffany and Careena.
Careena is crying.
Conrad and the Police Lieutenant QUICKLY approach.
“Tiffany, Careena, are you alright?” Conrad asks urgently.
“Sir, Careena is very scared out of her mind,” Gunchi answers for Careena.
Conrad moves closer to Careena in attempt to comfort her.
“Careena, it’s okay, they’re gone,” Conrad says as Careena wipes her tears from her eyes.
Conrad puts forth more effort to comfort Careena by placing his hand on her shoulder quoting, “Careena, are you gonna be okay?”
Careena nods her head saying, “I think so. Yeah.”
“Conrad, sir, surely you should let us take over from here, and you and your karate team better go on and head home back to L.A.” the Police Lieutenant suggests.
“Wait,” Heather says. “Dad, what do we do with Joey?”
“Joey, you said you live in California, right? In the Los Angeles area? Because we coincidentally happen to be headed that way too,” Conrad quotes.
“Yes sir,” Joey replies, then he says, “But Mr. Brigs knows where in Orange County I stay and he'll surely try to track me down there.”
“Not if I can help it,” Conrad contradicts.
“Sir, are you sure it’s a good idea for me to come with you?” Joey asks, then he says, “Because then you'll endanger yourself and your two daughters and students at the same time. Brigs is gonna want all of you dead as a doorknob.”
“Joey, you’re here in Vegas with no kind of money and no ride home. And if that Brigs guy catches you again while you’re here in Vegas, he’s gonna kill you. Now you tell me, is that a better situation in your opinion?” Conrad quotes rhetorically.
“The worst idea would be for us to leave you here with no money. Now it's time for you to choose the smarter option on this list,” Conrad urges.
Unbelievably, Joey finds himself thinking of what answer he personally believes he should give Conrad.
But thankfully, Joey decides on the right choice and says, “You're right, let's go. I mean, with you being a cop, sir, I'm sure I have whatever protection I need.”
“That's right, Joey,” says Conrad.
Conrad then turns to the rest of the group saying, “Okay. Before we leave here guys, have everyone went to the bathroom?”
“We did, Master.” Careena answers, then she adds, “Well at least I did.”
“I’m Good to go too,” Talya says.
“ME too,” Tiffany says.
“Gunchi, Heather, I guess you’re good as well,” Conrad suggests.
Heather and Gunchi nod their heads in response.
“Let’s split,” Heather says.
“Okay… let’s head for home,” Conrad says.
“SHOT GUN!!” Tiffany, Tanya, and Careena utter almost simultaneously as they all started walking.
“I called it first,” Talya says.
“No, I called it,” Tiffany says.
‘Shot Gun’ back in these days, was another term for ‘Front Seat’. Whoever would call ‘Shot Gun’ first would be given the privilege to right up front.

In the guest room of Conrad’s house…
Joey is asleep in the bed. The bedroom door is closed.
Joey awakes to the sound of banging on the door...
‘BAM BA’AM BA’AM!’
The door is suddenly kicked open…
‘WHACK!!!!!’
Joey is frightened and shocked to find Mr. Brigs standing in the doorway carrying a rifle as he quotes, “I bet you thought I wouldn't find you!?! You little punk!”
Mr. Brigs aims the gun at Joey and…
‘POW!!!’
Just then, Joey wakes up screaming like crazy, realizing that he was having a nightmare.
Joey looks around the room as he sits up in bed, breathing hard with sweat covering his face.
Joey slightly jerks in fright as there’s a knock at the bedroom door.
This time, a gentle knock…
“Joey?” Conrad is heard calling out from on the other side of the bedroom door. “What’s going on in there?”
Conrad opens the door, revealing Heather and Talya with him. Talya and Heather are wearing night gowns.
Conrad turns on the bedroom light, which basically blinds Joey the second it illuminates.
“Joey, what’s all the screaming about?” Conrad asks out of much concern.
Joey breathes a sigh of relief and replies with, “Sorry, nothing. Just a very intense night-mare; that's all.”
“You're having nightmares about the street fighting gang; aren’t you?” Heather suggests.
After breathing a few short breaths, Joey replies with, “Yeah. How'd you know?”
“I'm in the military. I know when people relive tragic events,” Heather explains.
Joey is suddenly aroused as he noticed Talya’s really nice legs, which her short night gown reveals.
Realizing this, Talya looks down at her legs by automatic reaction, looks back at Joey, then starts back towards her room.
“Aright, Joey, for the rest of the night, try and sleep good,” Conrad advises, for in this case, he finds his statement to be very necessary.
“Thank you, Mr. X,” Joey replies respectfully.
“And with less dramatic nightmares please,” Heather adds.
“Yes, Heather… I hope to,” Joey replies.
Conrad starts back towards his room.
“Sweet dreams,” Heather quotes just before turning off the bedroom light and closing the door as she starts back towards her room.

In the morning; at Conrad’s house…
Heather, Talya, Conrad, and Joey sit at the breakfast table praying over breakfast.
Conrad concludes the prayer saying, “Amen.”
“Amen,” Talya and Heather repeat.
“Why do you pray?” Joey asks, as he had no understanding of the meaning of prayer.
Heather, Talya, and Conrad can’t believe the question that just came out of Joey’s mouth.
“What was that?” Conrad asks Joey.
“I said why do you guys pray?” Joey repeats.
“In terms of now, we were thanking God for our food,” Heather answers.
“But your father provided the food,” Joey says.
“Yes, Joey, you’re right. Our HEAVENLY father provided the breakfast we’re eating right now,” Talya responds, acting as if she misunderstood what Joey meant and who he was speaking of.
They all start eating.
“No, Talya, I mean, Mr. X here,” Joey corrects. “He cooked.”
“No, Joey, I'm just a man,” Conrad replies, referring to the fact that he’s not supernatural. “We're speaking of God. Without Him, you can't even take your next breath.”
Joey thinks to himself.
“I suppose, Joey, that you never prayed before,” Heather suggests. Guessed more-so.
“No,” Joey replies. “What will that do? What would that help?”
“Do you even believe in God, Joey?” Conrad asks with extreme curiosity and concern for Joey’s soul.
“Oh yeah. I believe in God aright,” Joey answers. “I mean, there's got to be a higher power. I mean, think of the universe. How it got here. I mean, it didn't get here on its own.”
“You couldn't be more correct, Joey,” Heather says.
“Why would you not ever pray to God if you know He's real?” Talya asks Joey.
Joey thinks for a second, then answers with, “I don't even know.”
“Have you even accepted Jesus into your life?” Heather asks Joey.
“I don't even know how that's done,” Joey answers.
Suddenly, an automobile horn is heard being blown from outside.
Talya stands to her feet while grabbing her backpack from hanging on the back of the chair.
“Well, gotta go, that's my ride to school,” Talya quotes.
Talya kisses Conrad on the cheek, then hugs Heather.
“Bye, big sis,” Talya says to Heather.
“Bye, little sis,” Heather says to Talya.
“Bye, Joey. Bye, dad,” Talya says while rushing out the door.
“Bye,” Conrad and Joey say simultaneously as Talya sort of rushes out the door.
Just after the door is heard closing and the screen door is heard slamming itself shut from the other side of the door, Heather says to Joey, “Joey, why don't you come to our youth group sometimes. We have it every Wednesday night at our church.”
A confused look now claims Joey's face as he asks, “What's a youth group?”
Conrad and Heather simultaneously look at Joey while having confused looks on their faces, not understanding how Joey could not know what a youth group is.
But then and again, Joey had never been to church; something both Conrad and Heather are failing to understand.
“You never been to a youth group, Joey?” Conrad asks curiously.
Joey shakes his head ‘NO’ in response just before responding with, “I never even been to church before. What is a youth group like?”
“It's basically going to church before the weekend. Like a mini church service, accept you dress casually. Me and Talya go every Wednesday night,” Heather says. “Well, I USED to attend the youth group before I went active duty in the Marines.”
“Well…” Joey says as he thinks hard about taking Heather’s invitation into consideration.
“You don’t have anything else to do or nowhere else to go on Wednesday night, Joey. Might as well consider it,” Conrad suggests and urges.
…or should I say, Conrad is TEMPTING Joey to go to bible study.
Lol…
Well, it would be a GOOD temptation. …don’t you think???
So anyway, suddenly, there’s a knock at the front door.
“Oh good, that's my partner Henry,” Conrad says while standing up.
“Yeah, I’ll check it out,” Joey agrees, meaning that he’ll go with Heather and Talya to their Wednesday night bible study.
“I mean, it’s always good to try something new,” Joey adds.
Conrad goes to the front door and opens it to find his partner, Henry, a 5'10” Spanish man with his hair in a ponytail in his late fifties, standing at the door.
“Conrad, give me a five!” Henry says.
Conrad and Henry take turns smacking each other’s palms.
This is how people greeted each other back than…
“Hey Conrad, ready for work today?” Henry asks.
“Always. Hey, my daughter is back. Why don't you come say hi,” Conrad replies in excitement.
“Oh, Heather's here on leave?” Henry quotes.
Heather, having over-heard her name being mentioned, approaches the door where Conrad and Henry stand.
“Hey, Henry,” Heather greets, then she answers Henry’s question saying, “Yes, I'm on leave.”
Henry and Heather hug.
“When did you get here?” Henry asks Heather.
“Actually, I caught a plane to Las Vegas for Talya's U.S. open Karate tournament and missed most of it. …except for Talya’s LAST fight.”

Meanwhile, at Mr. Brig’s mansion…
Arm-strong sits at the patio table with Mr. Brigs and two other beautiful women; one a blond named Alexa, and the other, a woman with black hair named Trish.
“Recently I found out that detective guy who’s daughter knocked out three of our people are staying not too far from here,” Armstrong mentions.
“Yeah? Where’s this close by place they’re located? I’m sure that detective’s daughter is staying with them too,” Mr. Brigs responds.
“Somewhere in Los Angeles,” Armstrong answers.
“Los Angeles?” Mr. Brigs replies. “That IS far. That’s like an hour from here plus the ever-crowded 405 freeway’s bumper to bumper traffic that’s only clear late at night.”
“That would probably be the best time for us to drive to Los Angeles in pursuit of that Detective and his daughters,” Alexus mentions, then she quotes, “With Joey staying with them temporarily it’ll be worth the late at night trip. It’ll be radical.”
“Joey is staying with the detective guy?” Brigs asks, then he adds, “He’s staying with the detective guy and that same seventeen-year-old girl who kicked his butt in Vegas and cost me the bet?”
Trish adds to Mr. Brig’s sentence by saying, “More than likely it’s because the detective figured that his house is the last place we would look for him.”
“Well, we don’t have to go to the detective’s house just yet,” Alexa says, then she mentions, “Armstrong, Trish, and I, we know what school the seventeen-year-old black belt daughter goes to. Perhaps we should start there.”
“I don't know how I managed to miss them while blowing fire at them,” Armstrong mentions, then he says, “They must be the luckiest people I ever saw.”
“Man don't hand me that stupid boloney,” Mr. Brigs says.
“Fire burns like money talks and bull crud walks, man. You obviously didn't aim right,” Mr. Brigs adds.
“But no bother. You, Trish and Alexa say you know where that girl go to school at,” Brigs reminds.
“Yes, boss, we do,” Alexa responds.
“Right on. Then where-ever that girl and her cop father is, Joey can’t be far,” Mr. Brigs luckily suggests.

On the school campus…
Seconds after the school bell rings for school to end that day, the halls quickly become infested with students.
Many students are anxious to leave the school campus, having felt like it had been a long day at school.
One of the students holds a huge radio up to his ear while having loud 1980's rap music blast in his ear.
Careena, Tiffany, and Talya walk through the halls together while conversing about Talya’s new friendship with Joey.
“So, Talya, are you gonna start seeing this guy or what?” Tiffany asks, referring to Joey.
“Honestly, I really don't know,” Talya replies, then she adds, “I mean, he's nineteen years old and I'm only seventeen.”
“What, get out of here,” Careena humors, then she asks, “Joey is nineteen?”
“He's nineteen? He looks seventeen,” Tiffany says.
“To be honest you guys, as big of a crush as I have on Joey, I don't even know if I wanna date a guy I defeated in a kumite match sparring,” Talya mentions. “Let alone knocked the wind out of.”
“Talya, let me tell you something,” Careena says, then she advises, “If you know you admire him, don't let the fact that you’re better at karate than he is stop you from seeing him. I mean, what’s the worst possible outcome?”
Suddenly, Talya looks to see Joey standing by a tree looking around for them.
“Speak of the devil,” Talya says, then she utters, “Joey!”
Joey directs his attention to Talya, Tiffany, and Careena.
“Looking for us?” Talya asks.
Joey starts approaching as he says, “Of course. Who else would I be looking for?”
“Okay well, yeah,” Talya replies.
Joey greets Tiffany and Careena.
“So, what brings you here?” Talya asks Joey.
Joey shrugs his shoulders and says, “You. …Making sure none of Mr. Brig's men are watching you and following you on your way back home. Cause if I know anything about Mr. Brigs, I know he’ll be after you, your dad, and your sister for beating up those members of his crew like that.”
“So, you’re gonna endanger yourself more to make sure I get home safe?” Talya asks rhetorically.
This rhetorical question of Talya’s has Joey thinking for a few seconds. “Yeah, I guess I didn't think before I left the house. I was concerned about the three of you.”
“That’s sweet of you, Joey,” Tiffany quotes.
“Yeah, thanks,” Careena says, then she mentions, “But that’s why Talya has a detective for a father. It’s HIS job to stick his neck out for our protection.”
Joey nods his head in agreement. “Like I said, I didn’t think before I left the house.”
“How'd you get here? Walk?” Tiffany asks.
“No, I Caught the bus... It would be a long walk from Talya’s house to this high school campus,” Joey replies.
“Good. That makes that Brigs guy less likely to see you walking the streets,” Talya mentions.

In a car that’s parked across the street…
A young Caucasian man, 25 years of age, dressed in a leather Harley Davison vest by the name of Savate, sits in the driver’s seat while a nineteen-year-old black boy named David, sits in the passenger's seat up front and two other guys sits in the back.
All four guys have their eyes on Talya, Joey, Tiffany, and Careena, who are speaking amongst each other.
Joey has no idea that Savate and a few of Brigs crew members were even present, for he’s wrongfully confident that they would never find out what high school Talya attends.
As the four keep watch, they spot five football jocks wearing lettermen’s jackets approaching Talya, Joey, Tiffany, and Careena.
“Joey, you're dead meat,” Savate quotes.
“Wait, we can't just jack him and that girl up here at the high school,” David suggests. “Look at all the people on campus to witness it.”
Savate looks at David seriously and says, “Look. I know how to do things, okay? We’re gonna follow them and wait for the right time to jack both Joey and that girl up. …Punch their lights out.”
“Wait, Savate,” one of the guys in the back seat says. “Maybe we should take another precaution. Maybe follow them all the way home.”
“Did I ask for your suggestion? I did NOT. And do I look dumb enough to go to a cop's house? That girl’s father is a cop, you dummy!” Savate reminds.
“We better be careful. We already saw that girl fight,” the other guy in the back seat says.
“Alright, let me get one thing straight here. I don’t want any more opinions, perspectives, or suggestions from ANY of you! Is that clear? …not until you hear me ask for them! Brigs gave us a way to do Joey and that girl, and we’re going about it THAT way! Not YOUR way!” Savate confirms. “And we ain't using no guns neither.”

On the campus…
Tiffany, Careena, Joey, and Talya are speaking with the football players.
“Get out of here. You and Talya competed against one another in Vegas?” one of the football players quote to Joey.
“And she WON,” Joey admits with excitement.
Talya glances at Joey with a smile, then says, “And believe me guys, he was my toughest opponent. And it’s not because he’s a guy either.”
“I believe you,” another one of the football players say to Talya.
“I’m telling you, you guys should have been there,” Tiffany says.
“You know, it’s too bad they don’t have these mini hand-held devices that fits in your pocket that you can use to take pictures and record videos and then transfer the videos and pictures to another device just like it. …and also use it as a phone,” one of the football players quotes, then he says, “That way, we can watch Talya and Joey’s competition anytime anywhere.”
“Tss, there’s a good idea for an invention there,” Careena compliments, then she added, “That probably won’t happen until the beginning of the next century sometime.”
“Yeah, a portable video player that takes pictures and you can speak to other people on it,” Talya mentions. “…And put it in your pocket.”
“Come on, guys. We gotta get ready for football practice,” one of the football players suggests. “Or the coach is gonna bite out heads off.”
The football players all say good-bye to Tiffany, Careena, Talya and Joey in ad-libs as they walk off.
“We better get ready for practice ourselves,” Tiffany says, referring to cheerleading practice.
“What sport do you girls play? …I mean, besides Karate?” Joey asks.
“We’re Cheerleaders,” Careena answers, then she looks to Tiffany and says, “Come on, Tiffany, let’s jam. You know the coach doesn't like us being late.”
“Bye guys,” both Tiffany and Careena say to Joey and Talya.
“Bye,” Joey and Talya reply almost simultaneously.
“Be safe walking to the bus stop,” Careena advises.
“We will,” Talya replies for both Joey and her.
Tiffany and Careena walk off while heading to cheerleading practice.
“Hey, Talya. Wanna go to the store before we catch the bus?” Joey asks.
“I spent the money I had on my lunch today. I only have enough left for the bus,” Talya replies.
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll pay for it. …for both of us,” Joey offers.
“Well, in that case, I could use a little something to snack on. Let's go,” Talya urges.
Savate starts the car and drives off.
Savate’s car catches Joey’s eye as it disappears into the traffic.
Talya, with much concern, notices the look on Joey's face. …A look as if Joey recognizes the car.
“Joey what's wrong? Who was that?” Talya asks.
After a few seconds, Joey snaps out of his state of mind and directs his attention to Talya.
“What?” Joey quotes.
“Joey, you look like something’s wrong. You look like you’ve seen a ghost,” Talya says.
“Oh, it’s definitely not that,” Joey replies.
“Joey, seriously. Talk to me. Who was that in the car?” Talya asks.
Finally, Joey breaks silence and answers with, “I thought I saw someone I knew in the car that just drove off, that's all.”
Talya is left with an unsure look on her face.
“Come on, if you wanna go to the store. …before we miss the bus,” Joey demands calmly.

In an abandoned warehouse…
Everyone is crowded around watching Mr. Brigs fight another guy. Mr. Brigs has on boxing gloves. The guy swings at Mr. Brigs.
Mr. Brigs ducks, throws a right cross to the guy's face, then throws a hook shot, knocking the guy into the crowd of people.
The crowd of people catch the guy and push him back into the circle.
Mr. Brigs throws an uppercut to the guy, causing the guy’s feet to lift off the ground. The guy's unconscious body hits the ground.

In the streets…
While Joey and Talya are walking towards the nearest store, Talya says, “So this, Mr. Brigs guy gets people into fights of many different types. And places bets?”
“Yes,” Joey answers. “And the steroids he injects us with causes us to win usually.”
“Well, I guess when you and I fought in Las Vegas, the steroids let him down,” Talya says.
“I don't know what has that fool thinking steroids makes me superman,” Joey mentions.
Talya adds, “And this guy named Darrel in that gang teaches a group of Kumite players?”
Joey nods his head ‘YES’, then he says, “And I'm one of them... WAS one of them.”
They both enter the store.

In Savate’s car; across the street…
David sits in the front seat with Savate while two other guys sit in the back.
Savate says to David, “Okay, David, you know what to do, now go.”
“Why I always gotta be the one?” David asks.
The others in the back seat respond by telling him to go.
Savate answers David saying, “Because I said so, now go! Before I jack you up myself!”
David gets out of the car and crossed the street without looking both ways.
A car screeches to a sudden stop in front of David while blowing his horn.
A very frustrated Savate utters to David, “For Pete's sake, David, look both ways before crossing the street!”

Inside of the store…
Talya picks up a can of soda saying, “I wonder if I have enough for this and a Hostes apple pie.”
“If you want it, get it. I have ten dollars on me. I told you I’ll pay for your stuff,” Joey reminds.
David approaches Joey and Talya saying, “Hey, Joey. What’s up?”
Joey becomes surprised and quotes, “David?”
David begins warning Joey saying, “Listen man. Mr. Brigs and the entire gang is looking for you. They looking for both of you. And the other Karate players you hang out with too.”
“And how the heck did YOU find me? Are you alone?” Joey asks while taking extra precaution. And I mean, EXTRA!!!
David replies saying, “Hey man, I'll tell you more outside when you pay for yo stuff. Now that you guys know for sure that Mr. Brigs is still looking for you, if you see any of them, ya didn't get this information from me. I didn’t tell you nothing.”
“Are you alone or not?” Joey asks.
“No, I'm not alone,” David asks. “You and your opponent from the U.S. open are standing right in front of me.”
Joey and Talya have unsure looks on their faces.
David says, “Yes, I understand if ya don't trust me enough to come outside with me. But you can't hide here in the store forever... I'll tell you more outside. Hurry, pay for your stuff.”
David quickly exits the store.
A nervous Talya says, “Joey, I don't like this.”
“Yeah... This whole thing sucks. I'm a bit suspicious too. I think something stinks,” Joey says.
“Whatever that David guy tries to do, I got your back,” Talya encourages.
“Next in line,” the Cashier says to Joey and Talya.
Talya and Joey's attention go to the Cashier just before they approach the counter.

At the warehouse…
Mr. Brigs is on his car phone.
Nigel, Russel, and Arm strong are in the car.
Mr. Brigs says, “What you say, Savate? You say you found him?”
“Both o’vem. Joey and the girl. ONE of the girls anyway,” Savate says to Mr. Brigs while on the other line. “The one who beat up Joey in Las Vegas at the Karate Tournament in front of a thousand people.”
“Good,” Mr. Brigs says, then he says, “Opportunity knocks. Mess them both up. Don't be fair about it. You already know that they're both registered weapons. Nobody messes with the pirates.”
Mr. Brigs starts the car and drives off.

Meanwhile, outside of the store…
Talya and Joey exit the store.
David waits for Talya and Joey outside. David walks up to them.
“Hey, Joey!” David calls out.
“Okay David. What's going on?” Joey asks.
“Joey, you and yo girl... You are a couple of scums ready to get jacked up!” David says.
David punches Talya, knocking her against the wall.
“Hey! How dare you hit a girl!” Joey says.
“And you fought her in karate!” David says just before Joey punches David, knocking him down.
Three more boys in the Pirate gang come out of the alley.
The four boys surround Joey and Talya. Some have chains and some have sticks.
“Time for ya to pay!” David yells.
One of them try to attack Joey.
Joey moves to the side, kicks the guy in the stomach and kicks the guy in the face. The guy is out cold.
One of the guys raises his stick to hit Talya. Before the guy could bring the stick down to hit Talya, Talya shuffles towards him and kicks him in the stomach, sending him flying against a car.
The guy goes to hit Talya.
Talya blocks the punch and punches the guy in the solar plexus, knocking the air out of him. Talya then does a spinning back fist, hitting the guy on the side of the head.
David swings at Talya. Talya defends with her forearm, grabs David by the shoulder, rams him against the wall, then slams her knee into David's crotch with full force. David goes into total shock. He tries to scream, but nothing comes out of his mouth.
Tears come out of David's eyes as his nose starts bleeding badly.
Talya places her hand on David's shoulder saying, “See? That's why you should never fight a girl.”
Talya barely pushes David's head. David falls backwards and passes out from Talya’s knee to the groin.
Joey kicks the last remaining two with a spinning heel kick one at a time, knocking them out.
“Talya, we better call your dad,” Joey says.
Talya puts her hand on her face where she was hit.
Joey approaches Talya saying, “Are you okay, Talya?”
Talya nods her head ‘YES’ and says, “You have enough money to call my dad, right? Where’s the phone booth?”
Suddenly, before Joey could answer, both look as they hear a car door slam.
It turns out to be Savate approaching them from across the street.
A car comes to a sudden stop in front of Savate while blowing its horn.
Savate looks at the car saying, “Watch where you’re going! You retardo!”
Savate continues towards Joey and Talya while taking off his leather vest.
Savate has on a black T-shirt. Savate approaches them beating his hands together.
“Hey, doe-doe’s! Try me!” Savate intimidates. …or TRIES to.
Joey tries to punch Savate.
Savate blocks the punch.
Joey attempts to kick Savate. Savate catches Joey's leg and throws him to the ground.
Joey slaps the ground out of frustration.
Talya comes at Savate with punches and elbow strikes. Savate blocks Talya's strikes, then catches Talya's kick, then starts rubbing Talya’s leg while saying, “Wow, nice legs, girl.”
Talya punches Savate in the mouth, causing him to let go.
Savate places his hand on the area of his face Talya hit him. His lip is slightly bleeding.
“Boy! Don't you EVER feel me up!” Talya yells.
“And I love the way you hit hard,” Savate says.
“You want some more!?!” Talya asks.
Talya throws a punch, which Savate parries.
Talya then tries to kick Savate with a spinning heel kick. Savate ducks, moves in and tackles Talya to the ground, then he grips both Talya's legs.
“How do you like THAT!?!” Savate asks sarcastically.
“HEY PUNK! Take this!” Joey yells to Savate while trying to kick Savate.
Savate catches Joey's leg and kicks Joey, knocking him down.

In Conrad’s car…
While the car is moving, Henry looks to see Savate fighting Joey and Talya.
Henry points and says, “Hey Conrad, ain't that yo daughter and that Joey kid?”
Conrad looks to see what Henry is pointing at.
“God that's them! I bet that's Brig's fighting crew too!” Conrad says.
Conrad speeds up the car until he gets to their location.

In Savate, Joey, and Talya’s location…
Conrad stops the car just in time for Talya to get thrown down next to it.
Conrad and Henry quickly get out of the car drawing their guns.
“Freeze punk!” Conrad angrily says. “Don't make another move!”
Savate raises both of his hands.
“Talya, Joey, are you okay?” Conrad asks.
Talya nods her head ‘YES’ while saying, “Yeah dad. I believe so.”
Henry says, “Good, both of you are okay.”
Conrad and Henry move closer to Savate with their guns pointed at him.
Conrad angrily says to Savate, “Turn around, and put your hands behind your head! NOW!”
Savate slowly puts his hands behind his head.
“I’ll teach you to beat up on MY daughter!” Conrad says to Savate.
As soon as Henry and Conrad are close enough, Savate makes a sudden move, knocking the guns out of their hands, and is now in his fighting stance.
“Look at you. You lost your fire power,” Savate teases.
Savate then attempts to kick Conrad.
Conrad parries and redirects the kick. Savate attempts to back fist Conrad. Conrad catches Savate's arm, gets Savate into an arm lock, then subdues Savate to the ground.
Henry helps hold Savate down and cuffs him as Savate screams in agony.
“DANG IT!!!” Savate yells.
“Look at you... You're literally a stupid punk,” Conrad says to Savate.
Both Henry and Conrad pull Savate up.
“Get up, scum!” Henry utters to Savate.
Savate yells in agony as Conrad and Henry pull him to their car.
“Ya’ll wait till Mr. Brigs gets a hold of both of you!” Savate utters.
“Actually, I CAN'T wait till that time comes,” Conrad says. “I'm REALLY looking forward to meeting him.”
Conrad opens the backseat car door. Both Conrad and Henry shove Savate into the backseat as Henry utters, “Get in the car you scummy idiotic excuse for a punk!”
Henry closes the door.
Conrad approaches Talya and Joey saying, “Talya, Joey, I'll have a unit come here to escort you both back to my house. You both may not be safe here at the bus stop.”
“How soon will they be here?” Talya asks.
Henry answers with, “I'm gonna alert someone now. Make sure nobody follows you guys to your dad's house. Okay?”
Both Talya and Joey nod their heads in agreement.

Chapter 4.
Interrogation.
In the interrogation room…
Henry and Conrad are present in the room with Savate.
“The more information you keep from us, the longer we're gonna keep you here,” Henry makes known, then he demands, “Now tell us of this Brigs guy's where abouts.”
“I have an address.... One address...” Savate says.
It’s silent for a few seconds, then Conrad says rhetorically, “Wanna stop holding us up with the address already, son?”
“I ain't yo son, man,” Savate says.
Conrad comes back with, “Thank God I’m not. Now you have something to tell us.”
“The address you know to Brigs place... Speak dude!” Henry demands angrily.
“9473 Burster Street of Orange County,” Savate reveals, then he says, “That's only One of his addresses. I never been to the other locations, so if you wanna know of the other locations, ya go have to question the guy that hot looking blond girl put in the hospital.”
Conrad angrily says, “That hot looking blond girl is my daughter! And I certainly don't appreciate the story I heard about you feeling her up!”
“Conrad, take it easy,” Henry says, then Henry says to Savate, “Okay punk, we'll go with what you're telling us.... For now.”
Savate adds, “As long as Brigs knows you have one of us in custody and another one of us in the hospital, he's gonna leave the two locations we know to find him at.”
Conrad insults with, “Hey... It's not like any of you guys are smart enough to stop pursuing Joey and my daughter so far anyway. We catch more of your gang as they keep pursuing.”
Savate drops his face into his hands while sighing as Henry and Conrad head for the exit.
Henry adds insult to humiliation saying, “Yeah, Savate. I know the frustrating feeling of someone's own stupidity getting him trapped.”
The second Conrad and Henry exit and the door closes, Savate bangs his fist on the table out of anger.

In a residential area…
Conrad and Henry pull in front of a gated house. Both get out of the car.
Conrad and Henry approach the gate.
Henry says, “Okay, how do we get in there?”
Conrad pushes the gate open saying, “Simple. The idiots forgot to lock up.”
Henry stops Conrad and says, “Hold on a second, Conrad.”
“What?” Conrad quotes.
Henry says, “I don't think the idiots are here. This place looks abandoned. …And maybe because the idiots are not so idiotic.”
Conrad quotes, “You're able to tell without being inside the house and from outside the gate, Henry?”
Henry replies with, “I think this could be a trap set by Brigs himself while knowing some of us might come here searching for him... Unless he locks the gate, he wants us to enter onto the property.”
It’s silent for seconds, then Conrad finally says, “Agreed.... AND it's too quiet. Unfortunately, unlike that Savate guy we interrogated, Brigs is no dummy. We better notify the bomb squad. Tell them we have our suspicions regarding this private property.”

In the kitchen…
Savate, who was just bailed out of jail, sits at the table playing a card game with Darrel, a really beautiful woman in her early forties by the name of Chasity, and a man by the name of Leroy, along with Tabitha.
Leroy says to Savate, “So how much did it cost to get yaw outta that place, dude?”
Chasity deals the cards and passes them out to everyone.
Savate pushes some poker chips to the center of the table.
Tabitha says, “Savate, Leroy asked you a question.”
Savate says to Leroy, “Oh, I'm sorry, man. What was the question?”
Savate wasn’t even paying attention.
Chasity confirms, “He said how much did it cost to get you guys out of jail?”
“Nearly as much as I made gambling in Vegas,” Savate answers.
Darrel places some cards on the table while saying, “And we thought what we bet on Joey and lost was the worst thing that could happen to us.”
Leroy pushes chips to the center of the table.
Savate says, “…Can't believe I was number one on the wrestling team back in high school and got beat down by a punk detective.”
Tabitha replies with, “…Can't win them all, baby.”
“What punk detective?” Derrel asks.
Savate answers saying, “I was about to kill Joey and that one girl he was with, and that detective showed up. The one from Vegas.”
Chasity quotes, “HE showed up and came to Joey and that girl’s rescue?”
Savate nods his head ‘YES’ and says, “The dude happened to drive by while I was taking care of things.”
Leroy says to Savate, “Yo man, tell me where this cop hangs out at. I'll go get'em while the rest of yaw concentrate on Joey.”
Savate says, “Leroy, you can't handle that cop alone.”
Darrel adds, “Hey, man. If we stay concentrated on that dude Joey, he'll lead us to this detective dude any way. We ain't gotta focus on just no one person.”
Mr. Brigs finally enters the kitchen. They all greet Mr. Brigs. Mr. Brigs greets them back.
“Hey, daddy,” Tabitha greets Mr. Brigs.
“Hey, gal,” Mr. Brigs greets, then he says to everyone, “Who's got next?”
“Next for what?” Darrel asks.
“Going after Joey,” Mr. Brigs answers.
“It won't be easy, he's being protected by that cop guy,” Chasity confirms.
“Okay new plan,” Mr. Brigs says, then he says, “First we take out the cop guy, then we take out Joey and that karate team.”
A beautiful woman in her fifties by the name of Dolly, approaches Darrel from behind.
Darrel looks to see Dolly and greets her saying, “Hey, sis.”
“Hey, bro,” Darrel greets in return, then he says to Mr. Brigs, “Listen, Mr. Brigs; I overheard you saying you wanna take out those detectives who are protecting Joey and that daughter.”
Mr. Brigs responds saying, “Okay Dolly. Is this beneficial information you're giving me?”
Dolly replies saying, “Ohh for sure. I can easily use my seduction skills to pull them into a trap. Just tell me which detective to do it to.”

At Conrad’s house…
Talya sits on the couch while Joey sits in the easy chair. Talya has an ice pack on her head.
“Who WAS that guy?” Talya asked, meaning Savate.
“Who, the guy that kicked our butts?” Joey asks.
Talya answers saying, “The guy that approached us in the liquor store. Yeah, and the guy who kicked our butts. Something I'm actually not proud to admit.”
“Didn't you hear me call him David?” Joey asks, then he says, “You probably screwed him up permanently. Probably can’t have kids now.”
“Lucky them,” Talya says sarcastically, adding insult to injury, then Talya shrugs her shoulders and says, “He hit me first... Bet he probably won't hit ANOTHER girl.”
Joey clarifies with, “Talya, we're talking about a street fighting crew here. They'll hit anybody. And the guy that beat us up, his name is Savate. He used to wrestle in high school.”
Talya says, “Good thing I fought YOU in the finals at the tournament and not him.”
“What for?” Joey quotes, then he says, “Wrestling moves aren't allowed in a KARATE tournament.”
“Well, we both saw how radical of a stand-up fighter he was too,” Talya quotes.
“Yeah, Savate DOES fight radical,” Joey says, then he says, “Maybe it would have helped for us to double team on him.”
Talya shakes her head ‘NO’.
“No?” Joey quotes.
Talya replies with, “I don't believe in fighting unfair.”
Joey then says, “Didn't your dad teach you? You fight on the streets you gotta do what you can... Can't always fight fair when it comes to saving your life.”
Talya nods her head ‘YES’ while saying, “Agreed... Totally agreed.”
The doorbell rings.
“You wanna get it? Or me?” Joey asks, referring to answering the door.
“I got it,” Talya says while getting up and heading for the door.
Doorbell rings again.
Talya opens the door, and it turns out to be Tiffany and Careena.
Tiffany greets Talya saying, “Talya, I heard what happened to you at the liquor store.”
Tiffany and Careena enter.
“Are you hurt?” Careena asks with much concern.
“I just took a punch to the face from some punk,” Talya answers, then she says, “I'm okay, but HE isn't.”
Joey approaches and adds, “She kneed the guy in the crotch with full force and he passed out.”
Both Careena and Tiffany greet Joey. They had no idea at first that he was here.
Tiffany adds to Joey’s last statement saying, “Oh, well that guy Talya kneed in the groin, he’s surely NOT okay. But I'm glad you guys are.”
“Thanks,” Joey says, then he adds, “Talya's dad came to our rescue while me and Talya were in the middle of getting our butts kicked.”
“Yes,” Careena says, then she says, “Talya's father and his partner Henry told us everything.”
“Talya, what time does your father get back?” Joey asks.
The entire party looks at the door as they hear the key unlocking the door.
Talya points to the door saying, “There's your answer. Right about now.”
The door opens.
As Conrad enters, the entire party greet him.
“Hey, guys,” Conrad greets, then he says to Tiffany and Careena, “Thanks for coming by to see if Talya and Joey were doing better... Did you both just get here?”
“Yes, sir,” Careena says. “About a minute ago.”
Joey says to Conrad, “Sir, I'm glad you were able to take Savate.”
Conrad humors saying, “No, I never took French boxing.”
Savate is the name for French boxing by the way. …should have told you readers earlier.
“No. Savate is the guy you rescued me and Talya from,” Joey corrects, not aware that Conrad was making a joke.
“Yes, I know, Joey,” Conrad confirms.
“I think that sounds like a girl's name,” Careena says. …insults more-so.
Talya says to Joey, “So Joey, I heard you were talking with dad and Heather today about going to our youth group. Are you coming?”

Chapter 8.
The Youth Group.
10Please respect copyright.PENANAsJ5tqLM287
Inside of the church building…
A bunch of teenagers are sitting in front of a youth pastor. Some of these people amongst the teenagers are men and women in their 20’s. Joey and Talya are amongst these people.
The Youth Pastor’s words are, “If you're gonna have faith, you gotta have faith all the way. For example, before I was married, I had a friend tell me that he believes that God will send somebody to me. Then a few months down the road, he said, 'Who knows, maybe God don't want you to experience having a soul mate.' You cannot believe God for something and then say He's not going to do it. That's self-contradiction, and contradiction of the encouragement you give that person. Which also leads to the fact that you should not put your trust in man. God is the kind of God who you have to believe in him for something 100% because 99 and a half won't do. Something like this also comes from people giving up faith after asking and believing God for something because it doesn't happen right away, the next day, or the day after. However, one prayer God WILL answer right away, is the sinner's prayer... Or some people refer to it as the salvation prayer.”
The youth audience listens.
The Youth Pastor continues with, “And NO! Baptism is NOT required for salvation. Because once someone becomes saved by saying the prayer to invite Jesus into his or her life, that person may not have an opportunity to get baptized. Take the thief who hung on the cross right beside Jesus for example. After he asked Jesus to remember him in Heaven, Jesus told him, ‘Today you will be with me in paradise.’ Absolutely no baptism took place. They didn't take that thief off the cross, baptize him, then hang him back on the cross again... It was one salvation prayer for Jesus to save him that got him into God's kingdom. See, it was meant for that criminal to get saved by Jesus while hanging on that cross beside Him. Just so we could be in the knowing that being baptized is NOT a requirement to get saved and get into Heaven...”

In the church parking lot; moments later…
As Talya and Joey walk together slowly, Talya asks Joey, “So, what did you think of the Bible study, did you like it?”
Joey nods his head ‘Yes’ and says, “I have never heard that kind of talking before. The Youth Pastor is one smart man. The Youth Group was enjoyable.”
“Good, you liked it then,” Talya replies.
“Yeah, he really had me convinced,” Joey says, then he says, “If we didn't have to leave so early because of Mr. Brigs thugs pursuing us, I would have gotten in line and waited to pray with the pastor to accept Jesus into my life.”
Talya and Joey reach the car Talya borrowed from her father.
As a few people walk by, they greet Talya and Joey ‘Goodbye.’
“Bye guys. See you on Sunday,” Talya says.
“Bye,” Joey says.
Talya unlocks her door, gets in, then she unlocks Joey's door.
Joey gets into the car.

Inside of the car…
Both Talya and Joey close the car doors.
“You wanna pray to accept Jesus Christ, Joey? I can do that with you myself,” Talya offers.
“What? You wanna pray with me?” a surprised Joey quotes. “Radical.”
“Yes. I pray with people to accept Jesus Christ into their lives too,” Talya replies. “It doesn’t always have to be a pastor.”
“Yes,” Joey says. “Cool. Prayer is what I definitely need.”
Talya replies saying, “Well, we can start by praying the salvations prayer. The prayer to become saved... It's taken from the scripture Romans 10:9 in the bible.”
“I believe I need to pray that prayer right now with whoever's gonna lead me the right way,” Joey says.
“I'm totally capable of that...” Talya informs.
Joey then says, “Okay, what exact words do I say to accept Jesus?”
Talya stretches out her hand saying, “While we pray, repeat after me. Say Dear Lord Jesus.”
Joey joins hands with Talya saying, “Dear Lord Jesus...”
“I believe you died on the cross for me and was raised for my justification,” Talya says, leading the prayer.
“I believe you died on the cross for me and was raised for my justification,” Joey prays.
“I want your blood to wash away my sins,” Talya says, leading the prayer.
“I want your blood to wash away my sins,” Joey prays.
Finally, Talya concludes leading the prayer saying, “I now receive you as my Lord and Savior.”
“I now receive you as my Lord and Savior,” Joey prays.
WOW!!! The angels in heaven are rejoicing now… Joey just gave his life to Jesus, and he will now spend eternity in Heaven!!!

Coffee House Ambush!

At a coffee shop in the parking lot…
People walk about.
Gunchi gets out of his car and walks into the coffee shop.

Inside of the coffee shop facility…
While walking to the counter, Gunchi looks to see Heather sitting at the table with her three-year-old son named Shannon.
“Heather,” Gunchi greets.
Heather looks in Gunchi's direction saying, “Hey what's up?”
Gunchi joins Heather and Shannon at their table.
“Hi, Gunchi,” Shannon greets.
“Hi, little man,” Gunchi greets in return.
“Thank you, Heather, for agreeing to meet me here. I was afraid you'd still be mad cause I called you beautiful. That would have sucked,” Gunchi says.
Heather comes back with, “Ohh no, I was never upset at you... You just surprised me with what you said about my Marine Corps picture.”
“Oh, you were surprised that I think your picture is rad,” Gunchi says.
Heather adds, “And I see you already know my son.”
“Yes, I do,” Gunchi says, then he says, “Because of your father. Yes. He tells me much about you before you come to Karate tournament.”
Suddenly, a bunch of members from Mr. Brig's gang enters the coffee shop talking amongst themselves.
Some people panic saying, “Oh no, it’s The Pirates!!!”
Some people get scared and run out of the coffee house.
One of the pirates point to a table where a bunch of high school kids sit. They walk over to that table. The high school kids turn to see them.
Gangster #1 says to the teenagers, “Get up! All of you, now!”
The high school kids get scared and move.
Before the gang had the chance to sit down, Gangster #3 notices Heather sitting and having fun talking with Gunchi and says, “Hey, dudes, look. Over there.”
One of the gangsters joke around and say, “It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s superman!”
The other gangsters laugh.
“No, it’s that karate chick!” Gangster #1 says.
They all look a few at a time.
Gangster #3 says, “That's that hot looking woman who jacked us up in Vegas.”
“Where?” Gangster #1 asks.
Gangster #3 points to Heather saying, “Over there. Talking to that Jap. I gotta plan. Let's mess'em both up when they get ready to leave.”
Gangster #2 says, “Hey, man. What about what happened to us in Vegas?”
Gangster #1 says, “What ABOUT that? So what! There's more of us this time. Now I said we gonna mess them up so bad that their mamas won’t recognize them!”

In Heather and Gunchi’s area…
Not being aware of the Pirates who have just entered into the Coffee house, Heather says, “So anyway... Shannon's father didn't want to be a good father. Or should I say, he didn't wanna be a father at all. You probably heard about that too.”
Gunchi says, “Every good friend of your father knows. I'm sorry this happened to you.”
“Thank you,” Heather says.
Gunchi notices Heather drinking a Cappuccino and Shannon drinking a milk shake, and asks, “May I treat both of you to seconds?”
Heather sets her cappuccino down and says, “I'm sorry. Seconds?”
Gunchi points to Heather's drink.
“Ohh, as in another drink.” Heather kindly declines by saying, “Thanks, but that’s okay. One is enough for him, and I already had two of these. I may not get any sleep tonight if I drink one more of these. And that would suck.”

In the parking lot of the Coffee house; moments later…
Heather comes walking out of the coffee shop with Shannon and Gunchi while saying to Gunchi, “Thanks for offering to treat us.”
“You’re welcome,” Gunchi replies, and says, “Maybe some other time I treat you. Will that be rad?”
Heather nods her head ‘Yes’ accepting Gunchi’s offer while saying, “That would surely be radical. Yes, I'd love that.”
The gangsters get out of the van and start walking towards Heather, Gunchi, but Heather and Gunchi don't notice right away.
The gang members have bats, pipes, and chains. Shannon sees them and panics saying, “Mommy bad men are coming!”
Heather and Gunchi look to see the gangsters. Both Heather and Gunchi are now on their guard, trying to protect Shannon.
“Hey, nobody messes with the pirates!” Ganster #1 shouts, meaning themselves. Gangster #1 then says, “Ready to go another round, angel face... With US this time? We’re gonna jack you up really bad!”
Ganster #2 says, “Tell us where Joey and that blond haired chick is before we jack you guys up and make you talk!”
“It would be wise if you all just buzz off,” Gunchi advises.
“Mommy, I'm scared!” Shannon says.
Heather pleads by saying, “Guys look. Please don't cause us trouble in front of my four-year-old.”
“Then tell us where they are, now! You're wearing out my patients!” Gangster #1 says. “Or your butt is mine!”
Heather once again tries to reason with these guys by saying, “Listen guys, you're scaring my son! So why don't you guys please just get out of our faces and beat it!”
“Auh great! There goes my patients!” Gangster #1 says, not caring about a four-year-old kid being around. Gangster #1 moves towards Heather saying, “I’m gonna knock you out, and look under that gene skirt you’re wearing and see what kind of panties you have on!”
Heather angrily kicks Gangster #1 in the groin while yelling, “Hi YA!”
Gangster #1 grabs his groin shouting, “MY NUTTS! MY NUTTS!” he then says to the other gangsters, “What are you waiting for. Get them!”
One of the gangsters run up to Heather, and another gangster runs up to Gunchi.
The gangster swings a bat at Heather's head.
Heather evades the strike while grabbing the bat, punches the guy in the jaw twice, then elbows the guy in the face, knocking him down.
Shannon runs and hides behind a car.
With a bloody nose, Ganster #1 goes to his knees while still shouting, “MY NUTTS! MY NUTTS! JESUS!!!”
Gangster #1 holds his stomach shouting, “Oh God I have to throw up!”
Gangster #1 vomits violently!
The other guy constantly tries to hit Gunchi with the chain.
Gunchi does a spinning heel kick to the guy’s head, knocking him out.
“GET THEM!” Gangster #1 orders again while crying. Then he vomits again.
“Oh God I done threw up again!” Gangster #1 says out of frustration, then he coughs.
“She’s dead meat!” Gangster #1 says, meaning Heather.
Three other gangsters jump in. The one with the pipe draws back his pipe, trying to hit Heather. Before he could hit Heather, Heather kicks him in the mouth causing him to drop the pipe and hold his mouth.
The gangster with the pipe shouts, “God dang I think I'm missing a tooth! You knocked my tooth out!”
Heather then does a front roundhouse kick to the guy's stomach, knocking the air out of him. The guy falls to the ground struggling to breathe.
Two guys constantly try to hit Gunchi with bats.
They both swing at Gunchi's stomach.
Gunchi does a flip over the on-coming bats.
“We’re gonna jack you up!” one of the gangsters utter to Gunchi. “Because the tough just got going! You think you’re Bruce Lee!?! We gonna jack you up! Teach you a lesson to remember!”
The guys surround Gunchi. They both swing at Gunchi's head.
As Gunchi ducks the bats hit each other and break.
Both gang members drop their bats while screaming in agony.
“I know I am not Bruce Lee,” Gunchi informs, then he kicks one of the guys with a spinning heel kick, and kicks the other with a spinning heel kick. Both fall down.
Gangster #1 bypasses the pain in his groin and gets up while holding his groin an uttering, “Let's get out of here!” He then says to Heather, “DON’T NOBODY KICK ME IN THE BALLS! YOU’RE DEAD MEAT NEXT TIME I SEE YOU! YOUR ASS IS GRASS! Next time we’re gonna kill you!”
“Oh no, I’m really scared!” Heather says sarcastically.
Shannon runs up to Heather saying, “Mommy, you kicked that bad man and made that bad man sick!” Shannon was referring to the guy throwing up.
“SHUT UP!” Gangster #1 shouts.
“GET LOST, PUNKS!” Gunchi orders, speaking to the gangsters.
The gangsters all get up and start running.
Gunchi runs over to them saying, “Heather! Did they hurt you?”
“They didn't even touch me,” Heather answers. “Gunchi, now they're gonna be after you.”
“We need to call your father and Henry. Now,” Gunchi suggests.
“No, we need to go home,” Heather contradicts. “I’ll tell my dad when we get home. I can’t risk any of these jerks seeing us at a phone booth.”
“Okay, make sure nobody follows you home,” Gunchi advises.

At Conrad’s house, moments later…
Heather sits speaking with Conrad, Talya, and Joey.
“How many people were there this time, Heather?” Conrad asks.
Heather answers saying, “To be honest, dad, I don't recall how many there were. I was just so busy attempting to keep Shannon from getting hurt.”
Suddenly, there's a knock at the door.
Heather starts to stand up, but Conrad holds up his index finger saying, “Hold it.”
Conrad gets up saying, “I'll get the door. In case one of Brig’s suckers followed you here.”
The doorbell rings.
Conrad walks up to the door saying, “Who is it?”
“Conrad, it's me! Henry!” Henry is heard saying from outside.
Conrad opens the door saying, “Henry, you didn't see anything suspicious before you came to this doorstep, did you?”
Henry shakes his head saying, “No, Conrad. Nobody's out here but me.”
Conrad peaks outside with caution.
Henry says, “If those knuckle heads ran off before Heather and Gunchi got out of there, it's unlikely that someone followed her here.”
“Come in, quick,” Conrad says.
Henry enters the house.
Conrad closes and locks the door.

In the kitchen…
Heather sits in the kitchen with Talya and Joey.
“How did they recognize you from the karate tournament?” Joey asks Heather.
Heather answers saying, “…Same way they recognized you and Joey at the liquor store, and that's good enough.”
Joey says, “I can't believe they keep finding us. What are they, ex-detectives too?”
Heather shrugs her shoulders and says, “You know them better than we do, you tell us…”
Joey replies saying, “I never knew them to be good at tracking people down the way they're doing it.”
Conrad enters the kitchen saying, “Guys, the cops just located Brigs. He just arrived at a warehouse somewhere in town. Me and Henry are headed there, so don't let anyone know you're home.”
“They located Mr. Brigs?” Joey quotes.
“Yes, Joey,” Conrad answers. “He's street fighting as usual. Me, my partner Henry, and many fellow officers will approach the area, see where we can go from there.”
Joey sighs in relief while having his hopes sky-rocketed. “Thank God.”
Conrad comes back with, “Yes, thank God. But there's no guarantee we're gonna catch Brigs just because we go to the area.”
Joey says, “Well, sir, I hope you catch him. So me, Heather, Talya, and her other two friends won't keep living in fear.”
“Who said I was afraid?” Talya asks rhetorically.
Conrad concludes the conversation saying, “We hope we catch him too, Joey. Everyone; I should return in a few hours.”
“Be careful, dad,” Heather advises.
“Yeah, dad,” Talya adds. “We love you.”
“I love you guys too,” Conrad says.

Inside of the car…
Conrad observes the two guys speaking, pointing, and looking in their direction. Henry is still on the walky-talky as the person on the other line is heard saying, “Five units we'll reach your location shortly.”
“Okay, I'll look for you,” Henry says.
The call cuts out.
“Henry,” Conrad calls.
The second Henry gives Conrad his attention, Conrad signals for Henry to observe what Conrad noticed. Which was, the two men speaking, looking back and forth at them, and pointing their direction.
“Henry, I don't think shortly's gonna be soon enough. I think those two guys are suspicious of us,” Conrad says.
“They don't look suspicious to me,” Henry says.
Now that was stupid, considering that those two guys are actually criminals.
Henry continues with, “Could be just randomly pointing over here at us... They ain't coming this way.”
Auh, Henry spoke too soon…
Reason being; the two guys pick up pipes and head towards Conrad and Henry.
“I stand corrected,” Henry admits. “They're coming this way.”
Conrad says, “Maybe we should take off and return with the five units being sent.”
“We don't need them right now. There's only two of'vem. And two of US,” Henry suggests.
As soon as Conrad and Henry get out of the car, the dark-skinned black man asks, “What ya’ll doing here!?!”
“I suppose I should have asked YOU two that question first,” Conrad says with a slight bit of sarcasm.
“Nah, man. I'm asking the cotton-picking questions!” the dark-skinned black man replies.
And the light-skinned black man starts recognizing Conrad and says, “Hey, you that cop from Vegas.”
“You got a good memory, son,” Conrad says.
“I ain’t your son, man!” the light-skinned black man says.
“Thank God for that,” Conrad says.
Ligh-skinned black man comes back with, “You won’t be thanking God. Cause I’m gonna give you a knuckle sandwich!”

The dark-skinned black man executes a punch.

Henry is on the walky-talky saying, “Me and my partner have JUST been attacked by two of Brig's men. Has our back up taken off yet, or not?”
A woman’s voice on the other line is heard saying, “Yes sir, they left ten minutes ago. They're already gone.”
A frustrated Henry says, “It's taking them forty hours to get here. Where the hell are they coming from?”
The woman’s voice is heard over the walky-talky saying, “Sir, they already left. All I can tell you is that they're on their way, detective. Sarah out.”
“Did these slow pokes stop for doughnuts?” Conrad asks rhetorically.
Although the question is rhetorical, Henry answers anyway saying, “I wish I COULD answer that rhetorical question, Conrad.”
“Not supposed to answer a rhetorical question,” Conrad responds.
“Man, I know that, man. I just wish our slow poke back up will get here already,” a desperate Henry says. “They need to freak up.”
“…Before we lose Mr. Brigs.... Again... Which will leave more members of his crew to attempt attacking someone else I care about,” Conrad adds.

Mr. Brigs then picks up the jujitsu fighter and slams him on the ground. The Jujitsu fighter is out.
Darrel utters, “Wah hoo! That's exactly what I wanted to see!”
Suddenly, police sirens are heard.
People start panicking and scattering.
As Darrel runs up to Mr. Brigs, Mr. Brigs says, “Dang it! The cops found us!”

“Don't make no difference now. We lost the cops. And I didn't get my freaking 2,000 dollars!” Mr. Brigs says.
Suddenly they hear a police siren.
They turn to see a detective car with a siren light on top of it.
“CRAP!!!” Mr. Brigs utters.
“Those pigs found a short cut!” Russel says.
Mr. Brigs surprisingly slows down and pulls over.
“What are you doing, Mr. Brigs?” Russel asks.
“Acting natural,” Mr. Brigs answers. “If I keep driving, those pigs are gonna think I did something. No matter what, just be natural.”
Derrel replies asking, “What if those pigs know who we are?”
“Man, Darrel, just be natural like I said and shut up,” Mr. Brigs says.
The detective car pulls over behind Mr. Brigs. Conrad and Henry get out and head for Brig's car.
The look on Brig's face makes it obvious that he recognizes Conrad.

Conrad hangs up the walky-talky and says, “I wonder why the heck he pulled over.”
Henry answers saying, “Most likely to get us to abandon our car so they could get a better head start.”
Conrad doesn’t buy that. So, he says to Henry, “Na, not that. They had no knowledge of us taking a short cut.”
“Then surely Mr. Brigs thought of acting natural until he realized who you were,” Henry figures out.
“Yes,” Conrad says. “That's a MUCH more like it.”

At Conrad’s house; next morning…
Talya, Joey, and Conrad sit at the kitchen table. …they’re conversing about how Brigs got away… AGAIN!
“Again!” a frustrated Joey quotes. “Again Mr. Brigs got away?”
Conrad finishes Joey’s sentence saying, “From right in front of our noses I'm afraid. Joey, I don't know how your ex-gang leader gets so lucky.”
“Patients, dad,” Heather advises. “Luck always runs out.”
Talya adds, “Especially if you’re running an evil organization and in an evil business, dad.”
“Heather, Talya, thanks for the encouragement,” Conrad says gratefully. “Brig's day IS coming.”
“The important thing is, dad, that you and Henry are okay,” Heather encourages. “Thank God for that.”
“Yeah, thank God Henry and I are fine. But too bad the car’s all jacked up,” Conrad says.
Joey asks Conrad, “Excuse me, Mr. X. You're grandson Shannon, he isn't still shaken up from last night, is he?”
“Thank you very much, Joey, for asking,” Conrad replies, then he says, “Shannon's better now... Being that it wasn't his mother who got the tar beat out of her.”
“And Gunchi too,” Talya adds.
“Believe me, when I was one of Brig's people, we didn't care about children being present,” Joey mentions.
Both Talya and Conrad look at Joey.
Joey adds, “Well, when you join a gang, as far as little kids go, you don't care about that stuff.”
Conrad nods his head in agreement. “I believe you.”
Talya says, “That's why God forgets about what we do wrong when we ask him to forgive us... Because we DON'T forget.”
Conrad adds, “And because you've done that last night, Joey, those are mistakes YOU no longer have to make yourself live with. …OR feel guilty about.”
Suddenly a horn blows. …It’s Careena ready to give Talya a ride to school.
Talya gets up while picking up her back pack while saying, “That's Careena, gotta go. She and Tiffany says they’re glad you and your partner Henry are okay, dad.”
“Tell’em thanks,” Conrad says.
Talya hugs Conrad saying, “Bye dad, love you.” Talya kisses Conrad on the head.
“Love you too, be watchful,” Conrad says.
“Yes, dad,” Talya says.
Talya then hugs Joey while saying, “And now I love you.”
Before Joey could say anything, Talya surprises Joey with a kiss on the cheek.
Joey is too shocked to give any kind of response to Talya right now. All he could do is watch her rush for the door, look back at him, smile, and exit the house.
Joey barely waves while totally shocked from the kiss, even though Talya is no longer in the house to SEE Joey wave.
Car is heard driving off.
“Did that just happen?” a very shocked Joey says.
Conrad says to Joey, “Well, son, this isn't a dream. And surely, you're not delusional. …Means it can only be real.”
Joey nods his head in obvious agreement.
Joey changes the subject and says, “God, I wish you guys would finish this case soon.”
“Why are you rushing the case, Joey?” Conrad asks while actually trying to encourage Joey to be patient.
“Do you know how hard it is to stay hidden?” Joey responds.
“Yes, Joey, I do,” Conrad answers. “I fought in Vietnaum 15 years ago. We had to stay hidden in the jungle many times.”
Conrad concludes his answer to Joey’s question with, “…You have to be idle, the TV shows on television become boring, and I know it's enough to drive a person nuts.”
Joey sighs.
“But you gotta understand. This is your life we're trying to save. Brigs wants to kill you,” Conrad explains. “…not just give you a knuckle sandwich.”
Joey replies saying, “Yeah, and all because I lost a stupid fight.”
Conrad corrects Joey with encouragement saying, “No. It's because Brigs is money crazy. Believe me. He's not too concerned at all about you losing to a girl. My daughter.”
Joey says, “Yeah. Women in our fight club ARE treated equally. Brigs DOESN'T think of the female gender as being weaker.”
“Yes... That's the mind set of most fighters,” Conrad agrees.
Conrad gets up saying, “Wep, I gotta go to work now. Whatever you do, do not leave the house.”
“Okay,” Joey says.

At a gas station…
Henry's car turns into a gas station parking lot and parks. Henry gets out of the car and closes the door.
“Stay in,” Henry says to Heather.
Dolly, who's wearing business attire and sunglasses, stands while drinking a soda.
Henry walks towards the entrance of the gas station.
As soon as Henry and Dolly see each other, Dolly removes her sun glasses saying to Henry, “Hey handsome.”
“Hi,” a flattered Henry replies, not knowing he’s being led into a trap.
Henry observes Dolly. Henry gives a turned-on smile, then enters the store.
Heather pulls down the mirror in the sun visor and starts putting chap stick on.
As Darrel approaches Dolly, Dolly says, “It's working. I think I turned him on.”
“I think you did too,” Derrel says, then he says, “He obviously finds you attractive. That'll make the surprise better.”
Dolly looks towards the entrance and says to Derrel, “Go hide bro, he's coming.”
As soon as Henry exits the gas station, Henry notices Dolly continuing to admire him.
As Henry stops, Dolly starts approaching.
Henry says to Dolly, “You're pretty good looking yourself. How can I help you?”
Dolly says, “Well, of course you know I was admiring you big time. Got a minute?”
Henry replies with, “I'm actually in kind of a hurry. I'm gonna have to get your name and number and talk to you another time.”
Dolly says, “Actually, no exchange of names and numbers is necessary.”
“Then what do you want, lady? I told you I'm in a hurry,” Henry quotes.
“I only WANT you to remember that I'm a knock out... Literally,” Dolly says sarcastically, then…
WACK!!!
Dolly kicks Henry in the head with a hook kick, followed by a front roundhouse kick.
This causes him to spin around.
Heather sees this from inside the car. And as soon as Heather gets out of the car to help, Derrel’s fist blind sides Heather, causing her to fall to the ground.
“Aww no you don’t!” Derrel says to Heather.
Dolly constantly tries to hit Henry. Henry blocks the punches and hits Dolly in the face. …as much as Henry doesn’t like to hit a woman.
“You're one of Brig's people I'm guessing! Where is he!?!” Henry asks.
Dolly sarcastically answers with, “Funny! He's looking for you too!”
Henry spits out, “Where is he…”
Henry’s last word is interrupted by Dolly punching him in the face, then she kicks him in the chest with a front snap kick.
Darrel pulls Heather up from the ground saying, “Come here, you!”
Heather elbows Darrel in the stomach, kicks Darrel in the knee, then elbows Darrel in the head, sending him falling against the car.
“Henry!” Heather calls out.
“You’re gonna pay for that!” Derrel shouts to Heather.
Darrel runs up to Heather and kicks her in the back, causing Heather to fall forward.
“Henry can't help you! Nor are you gonna help HIM!” Derrel yells. “My sister and I are gonna jack you guys up!”
Henry blocks Dolly's punches and kicks.
Dolly kicks Henry in the stomach, sending him moving towards the car.
“Talk about Joey and the girl,” Dolly demands. “Then I'll stop HITTING on you. Know what I mean?”
Darrel attempts to stump on Heather.
Heather catches Darrel's foot and kicks him in the groin.
Darrel screams in agony.
“Take THAT! Sucker!” Heather says to Derrel.
Heather then jumps up and kicks Darrel in the throat, causing Derrel to lift into the air and fall on his back.
Dolly attempts a kick to Henry's groin.
Henry parries the kick out of the way.
Dolly then attempts to punch Henry.
Henry blocks the punch and upper cuts Dolly in the solar plexus.
Dolly goes into shock with the air knocked out of her.
“Woman, I'm placing you under arrest for this outrage,” Henry says.
…But then, Dolly falls lifelessly to the ground.
Henry instantly notices that Dolly has suffocated to death.
“Well, at least you'll remain silent,” Henry says.

At the gas station; moments later…
The police and the corner are present. Derrel and Dolly are in body bags.
Conrad speaks with Henry saying, “Henry, what happened here? How'd they find out you were a regular customer here?”
Henry answers saying, “I have the slightest idea. OR. My lucky guess is... And I know this is a lucky guess, Brig's people are studying us. And if that IS such a lucky guess, it puzzles me why they never showed up at any of our doors causing trouble.”
“And my lucky guess for that is they're not foolish enough to show up at a cops house to kill,” Conrad replies. “That would be as stupid as a screen door on a submarine. …like they used to say in the old days.”
“I remember. And obviously the woman who just seduced me was smart about the way she went about it. Dressing like a successful business woman, instead of dressing like a prostitute,” Henry adds.
“Brigs street fighters are full of surprises,” Conrad suggests. “Apparently your seducer knew if she dressed as a prostitute you'd think she'd charge you for a seduction.”

At the gas station…
Heather approaches Henery and Conrad.
Conrad says to Heather, “Heather, it's already obvious to us that these were two of Brig's people who attacked you and Henery. Are any of these two people from the coffee house where you and Gunchi were attacked?”
“No, dad,” Heather says, then she says, “They were all male. All boys.”
Heather points to Derrel’s body that’s in a body bag and says, “But he wasn't among them.”
The girls who are in the car with Tabitha wind down their windows.
Conrad looks just in time to see the girls point guns out the window. The girls open fire.
A few cops get shot along with Heather. Conrad and Henry jump to the ground.

Inside the car…
Tabitha steps on the gas and takes off.
“Oh my God we shot too many of the wrong people! This sucks!” Jahida says.

At the gas station…
Heather holds the area of her mid-section right below the ribs screaming, “AAAHHH my GOD I'm HIT!”
Conrad says, “The medic here's gonna take care of you. Don't try to speak too much, Heather.” An angry Conrad looks to Henry saying, “COME ON HENRY!! Let’s get these suckers!”
Conrad and Henry scamper to Henry's car and take off after the five girls who shot at them.

In the car with the five girls…
“Radicalshooting, girls,” Virra says.
“Radical shooting, Virra!?! We freaking missed that pig! And his pig partner!” Jahida says, speaking of Conrad and Henry.
Tabitha adds, “But we got that older sister of that girl who beat up Joey!”
“Yeah, the pig’s daughter who think she’s a female Bruce Lee,” Corais says.
Suddenly, a police siren is heard.
Corais shouts, “Crap! Ditch them pigs, Tabitha! Put the peddle to the meddle.”
“I started trying that a long time ago!” Tabitha says. “I don't know how they caught up!”
Jahida says, “They caught up cause you slowed the hell down!”
Tabitha says, “Okay! I'm gonna ditch these pigs now! Will you shut up!?!”
Jahida comes back with, “I don’t shut up! I throw up and make you come around the corner and lick it up!”
Tabitha looks at Jahida weird, then back at the road saying, “You’re speaking like a 5th grader, Jahida. You’re a big girl now.”
“No duh,” Jahida says.

In Conrad and Henry’s car…
Conrad thinks and feels that Henry isn’t driving fast enough.
“Henry, can you freak up!” Conrad demands, wanting Henry to drive faster.
“I’m freaking!” Henry replies. “Do you see me not gaining on them!?!”
Tabitha's car is seen making a sudden turn running a red light.
Henry turns the corner running the red light.

On the street they just turned on…
The cars turn into an alley…
In Henry’s car…
“Oh good, they're stupid,” Henry says. “Now they'll be easy to catch.”
Conrad says, “Wait, they could be setting a trap.”

In the alley way…
The five girls pull a trash can into the middle of the alley.

In Henry’s car…
“Henry, I told you to stop! I think they're trying to sucker us!” Conrad suggests and senses.
Henry pulls out his gun saying, “I’m gonna teach them a lesson to remember!”
The five girls come out from behind the trash can shooting at Henry and Conrad.
Henry and Conrad jump to the floor of the car to avoid the bullets.
The girls are still firing at the car. The car now has too many bullet holes. The girls stop firing.
“So long, suckers!” Tabitha says to Henry and Conrad, then she turns to the other four girls saying, “Come on, let’s boogy!”
“Yeah, let’s jam!” Jahida says.
The five girls get into their car and take off, being too stupid to check and make sure Conrad and Henry are dead before they left…
Conrad and Henry come up looking through the front opening of the car where the front windshield used to be. Henry hits the dash board.
“Crap! Conrad you were freaking right!” Henry says. “The broads WERE setting a trap!”
“Well, why didn't you listen to me!?! You think I was warning you just for the fun of it!?!” Conrad asks.
“No way, Jose,” Henry replies. “I didn't think you were warning me for the fun of it! Your daughter was shot just now! And you wanted me to stop chasing!”
“Dang it, Henry, I know Heather is shot! Of course I want those girls in that car; but without being suckered into an ambush!” an upset Conrad says.
Henry sighs saying, “This really sucks. …See who you can Contact... Or I'll do it.”
“Let me,” Conrad says.
Conrad picks up the car walky talky and tries to contact other police officers saying, “This is detective Conrad X, come in.”
There's no response.
“Hello...” Conrad repeats. “This is detective Conrad X, we've just been shot at and we lost the suspects! Does anyone copy!?!”
There's no response.
Conrad throws the walky talky against the dash board.
“Dang it the broads killed the radio,” an angry Conrad says. Conrad sighs in frustration and says, “SHOOTS.”
It’s quiet for a few seconds. Then…
“We're lucky that's all that got killed,” Henry said meaning the radio, almost sounding like he’s humoring.
…But it’s not a good time for jokes…
That’s why Conrad looks at Henery seriously, then straight ahead and says, “We better be walking back to the crime scene.”

Chapter 12.
Heather Will Be Okay.
At the hospital…
Heather is laying in a hospital bed.
Talya, Shannon, and Gunchi enter the room.
“Mommy!” Shannon calls out as he rushes up to the bed and hugs Heather.
Heather says to Shannon, “Hi, baby.”
“Good, Heather. You look as if you're doing better,” Gunchi notices out loud.
“Hi, baby,” Heather says to Gunchi.
But Gunchi gets a confused look on his face, misunderstands, and says, “You say hi to your son twice but not me?”
Heather corrects Gunchi saying, “I AM saying hi to you, silly. I called you baby.”
“My apologies,” Gunchi says, feeling kind of like an idiot.
“Come give me a hug,” Heather says to Gunchi.
As Gunchi hugs Heather, Heather kisses him on the cheek.
Talya hugs Heather while Gunchi stands there shocked while holding his cheek.
“Anything still hurts?” Talya asks.
“Only when I make sudden moves,” Heather answers.
“Well don't try to make too many sudden moves,” Talya advises.
“Heather, the people who did this; were they the same people who tried jumping us the other night?” Gunchi asks.
“It was probably the man you kicked in the balls,” Talya suggests.
“No,” Heather answers. “According to dad, these were all females in the car.”
Talya adds, “That's what really worries me. There’s a multiple of people in Brigs gang who we haven't seen yet.”
“Dad knows that too,” Heather adds, then she says, “That's why he's having you, Joey, and your two cheerleading friends stay with his war buddy.”
“My hope is that Brig's people don't find out about this war buddy,” Gunchi says.
“I just thank God that dad and Henry are aright,” Heather says, then she says, “And that my gun shot isn't far too serious.”
“If you want, we can pray that you recover quickly,” Gunchi offers.
“I'll never turn down a prayer,” Heather accepts.
They all join hands.
Gunchi prays saying, “Dear God, I pray that you please take care of my friend Heather. Not only that, but I pray that you will put an end to Brig's gang being after us, in your name I pray, amen.”
“Amen,” Everybody repeats.
“Don't die, mommy,” Shannon says as he’s about to cry.
“I'm not going to die, baby,” Heather says. “It's not that serious. Mommy's gonna live.”
Shannon and Heather hug each other.
Tears start coming out of Shannon's eyes.
“Baby, I'm gonna be alright,” Heather encourages Shannon.

In one of Mr. Brig’s Mansions…
Tabitha is in the living room talking to Mr. Brigs.
“So, ya’ll got the fools?” Mr. Brigs asks, meaning Conrad and Henry.
Tabitha nods her head saying, “We drove by and shot one of those girls from Vegas. …The older sister. Then those two police officers gave a chase.”
“And,” Mr. Brigs quotes, not believing that Tabitha is done making her point.
Tabitha says, “We led them into an alley and ambushed them.”
A skeptical Mr. Brigs asks, “Did you make sure the knuckle heads were dead?”
“No,” Tabitha says. “Don’t think we needed to.”
Mr. Brigs picks up the pan and angrily throws it across the living room.
Cookies are everywhere.
This causes Tabitha to jump in fright.
“Dad what's with you!?!” Tabitha asks. To Tabitha, this outburst of anger from Mr. Brigs was all-of-a-sudden.
Mr. Brigs utters, “You want to know what's with me? You should have walked up to the car to make sure they're dead. Those bucket heads may not be dead. There are many parts to an automobile that are bullet proof!”
“Those onion head pigs could NOT have survived, dad!” Tabitha encourages. Or makes an attempt to… “There were too many bullet holes in the car!”
“Tabitha, tell me HOW does that guarantee that the jerks are dead!” Mr. Brigs pressures.
But Tabitha stands there. It's quiet for a few seconds.
“I want Joey, that girl, and those two cops if they're still alive. And if they are, bring all four of them to me alive. Especially the pig from the Karate tournament. I wanna deal with that onion head myself.”

At a doughnut shop, the next day…
People cross the street while many cars drive by.

On the inside of the doughnut shop…
Careena and Tiffany stand by the counter waiting for their order. The cashier places doughnuts in the bag and gives it to Tiffany.
“Thank you,” Tiffany says to the cashier. Tiffany then looks to Careena and says, “Let's go, Careena.”
They walk outside to the patio where Talya, Joey, and Conrad sit while eating doughnuts.
“Mr. X, what time is this war buddy of yours supposed to get here?” Joey asks.
“Shouldn't be too much longer,” Conrad replies.
“Are you worried that that gang will find us here before he gets here?” Talya asks Joey.
“Much more than likely,” Joey answers.
“Well stop worrying,” Tiffany suggests. “Worry is the opposite of faith.”
Suddenly, a 1970's challenger pulls into the parking lot of the doughnut shop, getting Conrad and the gang's attention.
“He's here,” Conrad says.
Joshua, who’s a man in his late seventies, dressed in ripped jeans, a bandanna, and a jean vest, gets out of the car. Conrad stands up and approaches him.
“Hey Joshua,” Conrad says as he holds out his hand. “Give me a five.”
“Hey, Conrad X,” Joshua greets in return while smacking the palm of Conrad’s hand.
Joshua then holds out his hand for Conrad to smack the palm of it. He does.
This is how people greeted people back then… they used to say, ‘GIVE ME A FIVE!’ and smack each other’s hands.
…if I didn’t mention it before…
Joshua looks to see the kids at the table. Careena, Tiffany, Talya, and Joey greet Joshua.
Joshua’s attention goes to Joey, then he says to Joey, “You must be Joey.”
“That's me, yes,” Joey says.
Joshua extends his hand.
Joey and Joshua shake hands.
“I'm Joshua,” Joshua says. “…Conrad's Vietnaum war buddy you’ve been hearing about. I’ve been hearing about you a lot too.”
Joey replies saying, “Yeah, I bet. He was saying we'll be hiding out with you.”
Conrad says, “Aright, Joshua. Make sure you're not being followed whenever you take them to and from the school campus.”
“Right, right, gotcha. That's my plan too,” Joshua says.
“Bye, dad,” Talya says.
Talya and Conrad hug.
Joey, Tiffany, and Careena hug Conrad while greeting good-bye.
Joshua then says, “Okay kiddo's, let's go.”
“Shot-gun!” Tiffany, Talya, Careena, and Joey say almost simultaneously.
Talya beat everyone to saying it.
“I called it,” Talya says.
They all get in the car…

Inside of the car…
Joshua starts up the car as he pushes an A-track tape into the tape deck. Music plays.
Joshua starts driving as he says, “You know, it’s weird. Whenever kids ride in a car, everyone wants to sit in the front, but if it’s a bus, everyone wants to sit in the back. Kids today.”
“Yeah, it’s weird, but that’s the way the ball bounces,” Talya says.
“So, help me out here. Conrad says this gang wants you guys dead over Brigs losing a bet? At a martial arts tournament? What kind of person makes bets on things like that?” Joshua quotes.
“Brigs will do anything for money, sir,” Joey says.
“And my sparring competition with Joey is where this all started from,” Talya mentions.
“Talya won, and Brigs lost a lot of money,” Careena says.
“What’s a karate tournament like the 1986 U.S. Open doing letting a boy fight a girl anyway?” Joshua asked.
“Joey won championship in boys, I won champion ship in girls, Joey and I agreed to fight each other just to see who the best of the best was. The tournament okay’d it.”
“And this Brigs guy decided to bet on a karate tournament fight at the U.S. Open like an idiot,” Joshua says.
“Brigs is greedy for money. So greedy, you should see how many mansions he has,” Joey says.
“He’s never satisfied with how much he can get,” Tiffany adds.
“Yeah… what Tiffany said,” Joey quotes.
“Brigs gave Joey steroids so he could win against me,” Talya mentions.
“But he still lost,” Careena says.
“Yes,” Joey says. “…And because I still lost, Brigs wants to kill me because I cost him all that money. All because my fight to him and his gang wasn’t rad.”
Tiffany adds, “And the rest of us accidentally got involved while becoming witnesses to Joey being jumped by his own gang members.”
Talya adds, “Me, Heather, and dad were witnesses. Brigs street fighters didn't find out about Careena and Tiffany until one of his men attempted to burn us.”
Joshua looks at Talya with confusion. “Burn?”
“It's a long confusing story,” Careena says. “I guess when Mr. X was telling you about our situation he left the burning part out. One of his men tried lighting us on fire.”
Joshua nods in agreement saying, “Okay. This is all tying in.”

In a Mosdah truck that has a shell and speakers in the back…
Russel sits on the driver’s side of the truck, with the speakers in the back blasting music.
Tabitha is in the passenger’s seat. Both are watching Conrad’s house from across the street.
Children play on the streets.
An impatient Russel says, “Man, they got to come out of that house sometimes. I've been here for…”
Russel looks at his watch and says, “Four hours?”
“They probably got that girl and Joey in protective custody by now,” Tabitha suggests. “Or something.”
“I don't know where those pigs are hiding Joey, but I'm going to find out,” Russel says.
“We better get out of here before that cop guy comes out and sees us here,” Tabitha suggests. “He already put Savate in Jail. And when David get outta the hospital, he going to jail too.”
Russel starts up the truck and takes off.

At Joshua’s house…
Kids play in the streets.
Joshua speaks to Tiffany as they both sit on the lawn chairs.
“So, you fought in World War II also,” Tiffany asks.
Joshua nods his head answering with, “Me and Conrad are war buddies. Unfortunately, he didn't come back from the war with post dramatic stress syndrome, and I did. But it was the Vietnaum War we fought in together. Not World War II.”
“You came back with what?” a confused Tiffany asks.
“Yeah,” Joshua says. “I heard too many gun shots. And I watched too many people die, and was around too many explosions.”
“That's scary,” Tiffany said.
“Yes, it was,” Joshua says.
“I've been around someone with problems like that, and you don't know if they're going to snap and try to hurt you or whatever,” Tiffany says.
“Oh, nah,” Joshua says. “You got it all wrong. Not all post dramatic stress doesn't work like that. I mean, even if it did, I got two bad shoulders, shocked nerves, if I snap and try to hurt you, you can beat me up.”
“I wouldn't hit you,” Tiffany says.
Joey exits the house saying, “What's up, guys? Or what’s up doc? As bugs bunny says.”
“Hey, Joey,” Tiffany greets.
Joey sits on the ground in front of them.
Tiffany looks at Joey weird.
It's obvious that Joey knows why Tiffany is looking at him weird.
“Well, there's no more chairs left,” Joey says.
Joshua gets up saying, “I'm about to go in anyway.”
Joshua walks in the house.
Joey gets up and sits in the chair next to Tiffany.
“So how do you like your new life?” Tiffany asks Joey, referring to Joey accepting Jesus into his life.
“My new life?” A confused Joey asks, wanting Tiffany to clarify.
Tiffany answers saying, “Yeah, regarding you giving your life to Jesus.”
“Good so far,” Joey says. “I just hope Brigs doesn't find us here.”
“Brigs isn't going to find us here,” Tiffany encourages. “I looked behind us during the entire ride. Nobody followed us.”
“But you still have to go to school,” Joey reminds. “They already found out what school you guys go to.”
“Yeah, unfortunately,” Tiffany says.
Silence.
Then, Tiffany looks at Joey, then Joey says, “You sure you're gonna be safe at the school? You Careena and Talya?”
Tiffany nods yes saying, “There's a lot of security guards at the school. Brigs isn't that stupid.”
“You don't know Brigs,” Joey says. “These are some dangerous people who've been chasing us all over L.A. They'll just cut through those security guards like they're not even there. They’ll kick security’s butt from street to street.”
Tiffany gestures with her hands, then she contradicts, “I believe we're safe at school. As long as we don't go off campus before Joshua shows up to get us. And if we see anyone following us from the school, Joshua will just lead them to the police station.”

At the doughnut shop…
People walk among the streets.
Corais sits talking with Jahida on the patio. They both have drinks on the table.
Corais says, “So we're going to wait for them to walk off the campus? Then punch their lights out?”
Jahida shakes her head ‘NO’ and says, “We're going to look for them on campus. They ain't gonna walk off campus again after what happened with Savate and David. They got THEIR lights punched out.”
“Look for them on the campus?” Corais says.
“Yeap,” Jahida says.
“What about campus security?” Corais asks.
Jahida asks, “What aBOUT campus security? If they don't have guns, they can't stop us. We can BEAT them up.”
Jahida turns just in time to see a few thunder birds pulling up. Then Jahida says, “They're here, let's go.”
Jahida and Corais both grab their drinks than get up.

At the high school; late afternoon…
Three thunderbirds pull into the parking lot of the high school.
The same light-skinned black man and the dark-skinned black man sit in one of the cars.
A black eighteen-year-old boy, and a white eighteen-year-old boy are in the back seat.
Note: the white eighteen-year-old boy is the old man from the beginning of this story. You know… The old man in the martial arts supply store… Elder Stone. Remember??? Of course you know, he wasn’t elder stone back in the 1980’s.
So anyway, the light-skinned and dark-skinned black man get out of the car and approaches a security guard.
The light-skinned black man says to the security guard, “Yo. Excuse us a second.”
“Yo,” the security guard says.
The Dark-skinned black man says, “You happen to know where they're having cheer leading practice?”
The security guard gets a confused look on his face and says, “Cheer leading practice? Are you picking up a friend?”

In the gym; where they’re having cheerleading practice…
Cheerleading practice is over.
The cheer leaders are leaving.
Careena and Tiffany pick up their bags and approach Talya.
Talya closes her book, puts it in her back pack, and stands up.
“Let’s go, girls,” Careena says. “Joshua will be here in a few minutes.”
Careena picks up her thermos and drinks from it.

Meanwhile, in Tiffany, Talya, and Careena’s area…
Tiffany, Careena, and Talya bump into Joey.
“Joey!?!” a surprised Talya says.
Talya hugs and kisses Joey.
“Go ahead, girls, Joey and I will catch up,” Talya says.
“Okay. Hurry up,” Tiffany says. “Joshua’s gonna be here. I’m ready to call him on a pay phone.”
As Tiffany and Careena walk off, Talya unwraps her hands from around Joey and grabs Joey's hands and says, “Joey, what in the heck are you doing here? Dad's gonna kill you; if Brigs doesn't find you first.”
“I came to see you. I feel safe here at the school,” Joey says.
“Well, you're not,” Talya protests. Talya lets go of one of Joey’s hands and starts to walk. “Come on, let’s go. And don’t endanger yourself like this no more. That’s what my dad would advise.”
Joey nods his head ‘Yes’ and says, “Sure thing.”

In another area…
Tiffany hangs up the pay phone and says, “Joshua’s not answering his phone. That’s weird. I know he’s home.”
Careena shrugs her shoulders and says, “Maybe he went to use the bathroom. Who knows? Try again in a few minutes.”
Tiffany and Careena start back walking and talking.
“Don’t you wish they had portable pocket phones that ran by batteries? Not only to talk to someone on, but to take pictures too? And film things like a video camera does,” Tiffany asks.
“Tss, child, maybe by 2026 or something,” Careena says.
Ahh ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaa!!!!! We DO have that nowadays!!!! Ahh ha ha ha ha haaaaaa. Tiffany’s prediction was right!
So anyway, Careena adds, “…And since you’re thinking about it, why don’t you invent it?”
Tiffany responds saying, “Girl please. It costs money to invent.”
Suddenly, Tiffany and Careena find the security guard laying on the ground.
“Oh my God. Is he dead?” Tiffany asks rhetorically.
Light-skinned black man approaches with dark-skinned black man saying, “…Same thing that's about to be wrong with you, home-girl!”
Tiffany and Careena look frightened as the two men approach them.
Dark-skinned black man says, “…That is, if you don't tell us where Joey and that girl is!”
Careena gets smart and responds saying, “Somewhere ya’ll ain't! We ain’t telling.”
Dark-skinned black man says to the light-skinned black man, “Let's get them! …Show’em what we do to fools who don’t talk!”
Light-skinned black man says to Careena and Tiffany, “Prepare to die!”
The light-skinned black man and the dark-skinned black man charge for Tiffany and Careena.
Tiffany kicks the light-skinned black man in the chest, then kicks him in the groin.
The light-skinned black man yells in agony while holding his groin then falls to the ground yelling, “YOU STUPID BROAD!!!”
Tiffanny says to the light-skinned black man, “I know you are. But what am I?”
Careena does a jump spinning side kick to the dark-skinned black man's stomach. The dark-skinned black man struggles for breath, then passes out.
“You guys can't fight worth crap,” Careena says to the two guys.
Then, the two eighteen-year-old boys who arrived to help kidnap them get out of their car and angrily approach.
“Yeah, but we can,” Black eighteen-year-old says to Careena. “Your ass is grass!”
The white boy and the black boy come charging at Tiffany and Careena with punches and kicks.
Tiffany and Careena block the punches and kicks.
The light-skinned black man vomits violently while crying, and says to Tiffany, “You stupid jerk!”
Tiffany attempts to kick the black boy in the head. The black boy ducks.
Careena attempts to jump kick the white boy.
The white boy ducks, causing Careena to fly towards Tiffany.
Tiffany moves to dodge Careena.
Tiffany and Careena are out of breath.
“Dang, these boys CAN fight!” Tiffany says.
“I told you!” black boy says.
The two boys charge for Tiffany and Careena.
Joey and Talya walk while holding hands, then suddenly, they see Tiffany and Careena blocking the kicks and punches the boys are throwing at them.
“CRAP!” Joey yells.
“No time for crap! Let’s help them!” Talya says urgently.
Joey and Talya RUSH towards Tiffany and Careena, and throw jump kicks to the two boys, knocking the boys down.
“Leave them alone!” Joey shouts to the two boys.
Jahida and Tabitha are watching this.
“You think they need our help?” Jahida asks.
“Ahhh, yeah, let’s go,” Tabitha decides.
Joey and Talya are in their fighting stances as the two boys get back up.
“Are you guys okay?” Talya asks Tiffany and Careena.
“We’re gonna kick your butts!” the white boy says to Talya, Joey, Tiffany, and Careena. “We’re gonna beat you guys up so bad your mothers won’t recognize yaw!”
“Oh yeah!?!” Joey responds.
“That’s what YOU think!” Talya says to the two boys.
“Why don't you guys beat it!?!” Joey says to the two boys.
Sounds of two gunshots are heard.
Talya, Tiffany, Joey, and Careena turn to see Jahida and Tabitha each holding a gun.
The gun holders turn out to be Tabitha and Jahida.
“I have a better idea,” Tabitha says. “Why don't you guys come with us. My father Mr. Brigs wants to see you.”
“Oh my God they have guns!” Careena panics.
“No duh!” Jahida and Tabitha say at the same time.
“Tabitha, don’t you think you’re taking this too far?” Joey asks.
“Joey! You are the biggest fool ever! You’re gonna sit up here and ask me that while I have a gun pointed at you?” Tabitha quotes, then she asks, “Where were you when the brains were passed out?”
“Move it!” Jahida says. “Or we’ll blow you guys’ brains into outer space!”
Everyone starts moving.
Jahida runs over to the light-skinned and the dark-skinned black man.
“Get up and let’s go!” Jahida says. “Both of you.”
The light skinned black man is still trying to recover while vomiting. Then he says, “I’m gonna KILL that stupid Hawaiian chick! She blasted me in the nutts!”
The light skinned black man starts coughing.
“Come on, let’s go,” Jahida says.
They all get into cars and leave.
After they’re clear away from the campus, the police show up.

Alerting Conrad and Henry.

At the police station…
A police lady sits at a desk talking on the phone.
“He should be here in a few minutes…” the lady says, meaning Conrad. “…Say what?”
Henry and Conrad enter the office while the lady is talking on the phone.
The lady then says, “Okay, Conrad and his partner Henry just stepped in... Aright.... Bye bye.”
The woman hangs up the phone, then she says to Conrad and Henry, “Conrad, I just got a call from your friend Joshua.”
“Regarding,” Conrad says.
“Joshua says Brigs kidnapped him and the party he was looking after, and is holding them all hostage,” the lady says.
Henry and Conrad get surprised looks on their faces.
“Say WHAT!?!” Henry quotes.
“He has Joshua too?” Conrad quotes, then he says, “How'd this happen?”
The lady shrugs her shoulders and says, “Apparently, Brig's people knew what school your daughter, Tiffany, and Careena attended. And according to Joshua, Brigs is gonna come looking for you.”
Conrad says, “Well, I'm looking for him too. Where homeboy at?”
“I'm afraid I don't have that information,” the lady says.

At Brig’s mansion…
Russel and Mr. Brigs shove Tiffany, Talya, Careena, Joshua, and Joey into the room.
“Now you guys are gonna answer me some questions,” Mr. Brigs demands. “…And every Time I get the wrong answer...”
Mr. Brigs pulls out a gun and says, “One of you will meet your maker. And I ain’t playing. Now are those two cops still alive or not?”
Joshua, Tiffany, Joey, Talya, and Careena nod their heads’ ‘YES’.
“Yes, my dad is still alive. AND his partner Henry,” Talya answers.
Mr. Brigs sighs and says, “Just as I suspected. I knew those stupid girls should have checked to see if they were really dead.”
Mr. Brigs then asks, “Okay, where can I find these cops.”
It's quiet.
Mr. Brigs fires at the ceiling, causing them to jump in fright.
“It's far too quiet in here! You must think I’m playing with you!” a demanding Mr. Brigs says.
“They live off of Crenshaw blvd,” Talya says.
Mr. Brigs then asks, “Okay, what's the cross street?”

At the Police station…
Henry, Conrad, and the police lady are sitting while talking.
Conrad says, “We HAVE to find out where my daughter and these kids are. They're in grave danger with that Brigs guy. And his people.”
The Lady says, “I wanna find them too, detective. But I have no knowledge of Brig's location. …None of us do.”
“No,” Conrad says.
Suddenly, there's a knock at the door. Henry goes to open the door. A black post man walks into the room with a letter.
The post man says, “Delivery for Conrad and Henry.”
Henry takes the letter asking, “A letter? Who is this from?”
“Give me that,” Conrad says.
“Wait,” Henry says.
Henry opens the letter and reads it. Then he says, “Conrad!”
“Henry, give me the letter,” Conrad demands.
Henry hands Conrad the letter while saying, “It's from Brigs and the pirates. They want us to come and fight them.”
The Lady quotes, “You're gonna actually go fight Brigs and the pirate gang?”
“I'm gonna do what I can to get Joey and my daughter back,” Conrad answers.
The Lady says, “Conrad, wait. Mr. Brigs only wants to kill you, you know that.”
“I'm going to get my daughter back and her friends back,” Conrad replies. “…Before they find Heather and kidnap her too.”

In the room of Mr. Brig’s mansion…
Talya, Joey, Tiffany, and Careena are in a room. Careena and Tiffany are sleep.
Talya wakes up saying, “Joey.”
“What, Talya?” Joey says. “I’m trying to sleep.”
“Joey this is important,” Talya says. “You know these people, what do they plan to do to us?”
“Kill us,” Joey answers. “What else?”
Joey’s answer wakes up Tiffany and Careena.
“Joey,” Talya quotes.
“What?” Joey quotes. “They wanna KILL US! That’s what they wanna do.”
“Joey stop talking so loud.” Talya says.
“Are you kidding?” Joey quotes. “I know Mr. Brigs! He's gonna lower your father and his partner here so he could kill us all!”
“Joey, please, stop talking like that. And so loud. I'm right here you don't have to freaking talk loud,” Careena says.
“Yeah, quit talking like that!” Tiffany agrees.
“Who asked you two!?! Why don't you two go back to sleep!” Joey says.
“Excuse me!?!” Careena says with an attitude.
“Joey. Nobody can sleep with you yelling all over the place!” Tiffany says.
“Okay everyone just settle down and cool it,” Joshua commands.
It gets quiet.
“We don’t need to be arguing with each other. We’re in a big enough mess as it is!” Joshua makes clear.
Joey replies saying, “I'm sorry. . . I'm. . . I'm sorry. But I'm just upset because we're going to die. We’re dead meat.”
Everyone sighs in frustration.
“Joey, listen to me. We're not going to die. Nobody’s dead meat,” Talya confirms.
“Oh. Look who all of a sudden has the ability to predict the future,” Joey says sarcastically.
Everyone sighs again.
“Joey, what happened to having faith? Don't you trust God? Haven’t you learned anything in Bible study?” Talya asks with frustration.
Joey is quiet.
Talya adds, “So you rest your case, that answer's that.”
Joey says, “Talya, you told me God protects people, then why are we here about to die? The only reason Brigs hasn't killed us yet is because he wants to kill me, you, your friends, and your father and his partner together.”
“Joey listen to me,” a frustrated Talya says, then she says, “This is just a test of our faith. Just because it seems that the worst-case scenario is about to happen, doesn't mean it's gonna.”
Tiffany buds in and quotes, “Joey, let me tell you something. You have to grow in God in order to increase your faith in Him.”
“How do I do that?” a confused Joey asks while having a confused look on his face.
Tiffany answers with, “By hearing and believing His teachings.”
“Tiffany's right, Joey,” Joshua says. “If it's only meant for you to agree with one person this year, let it be your new girlfriend.”
“I rest my case, again,” Joey decides.
“It's okay Joey,” Talya says, then she says, “I used to be just like you when I first became a Christian. I still don't know everything now, but I know that you gotta trust God when you're in situations like this. Stop believing we're gonna die.”
“Not to be a party pooper, but, what if we do?” Joey quoted rhetorically.
“Then we'll be at peace in God’s kingdom,” Talya answers. “But I believe that God wants us to come out of this alive.”

At the Hospital…
Henry and Conrad walk with Heather, who is in a wheel chair. Conrad pushes Heather in her chair.
“Those jerks kidnapped Talya?” Heather quotes.
Conrad answers saying, “Those jerks kidnapped Joshua, Joey, Tiffany and Careena too.”
“Oh my God,” Heather says.
“Yes,” Henry says.
Conrad says to Heather, “Honey, if you get released before we solve this case, I want you to lay low so you don't get kidnapped too.”
“Do they know where to find me?” Heather asks.
“So far they don't,” Conrad confidently answers. “They don't know your identification so it'll be hard for them to get to you here in the hospital.”
“They probably think I'm dead,” Heather assumes.
“And they probably don't,” Conrad contradicts, making a point.
Suddenly, Gunchi shows up in the room with Shannon.
“Mommy!” Shannon says with excitement.
“Hi, honey,” Heather says to Shannon.
Heather and Shannon hug.
“See honey, I told you I wasn't gonna die,” Heather says to Shannon.
“Mommy, I love you,” Shannon says.
How sweet!!!
“I love you too,” Heather says back.
“Hi, Grandpa,” Shannon finally says to Conrad.
Shannon was distracted. And Conrad understands.
“Hi, Heather,” Gunchi finally says.
“Hi, honey,” Heather says to Gunchi.
Gunchi says to Heather, “I'm your honey now?”
“Ahh, yes,” Heather answers. “Remember at the coffee house, I agreed to go out with you? And I kissed you already.”
“Wow,” Gunchi says. “I had no idea you admired me too.”
Everybody laughs but Heather and Gunchi.
“Come hug me,” Heather offers Gunchi.
Gunchi walks over to Heather and hugs her. Heather and Gunchi kiss each other on the lips.
Conrad says to Gunchi, “Hey, Gunchi, do you have a room for my Grandson and Heather to stay with you in case she gets out before we solve this case?”
Gunchi answers assuming, “I do. They WILL be safe with me.”

Outside of the hospital…
Three of Mr. Brigs gangsters are in a car watching the hospital exit.
Gangster #1 says, “You saw these people turn into this parking lot you sure that was them?”
Gangster #2 says, “Yes, I recognize that little boy.”
Gangster #1 says, “Man, how you go recognize the little boy when we were too busy getting jacked up?”
All the gangsters start talking at once.
Gangster #2 says, “Listen, man. I know that's them.”
Gangster #3 says, “I recognized that Japanese man who was with that beautiful blonde.”
Gangster #1 says, “That's gotta be them. Only one person looks like them.”
Suddenly, one of them spot Conrad, Henry, Shannon, and Gunchi, coming out of the hospital.
Gangster #1 says, “Hey look guys, check it out.”
“Check WHAT out?” Gangster #2 asks.
“Look and see,” Gangster #1 says while pointing to Conrad.
They all get quiet and look to see the four crossing the drive way to their cars.
“I told you, man, it was them,” Gangster #2 says.
The gangsters watch them get into their cars. Auh man! Now they know what kind of cars they drive!!!
Gangster #2 asks, “Should we go after the two pigs first? Or that Japanese man and the kid first?”
Gangster #1 answers saying, “Man there's more than one of us. We ain't gotta make the pigs and the Japanese man with the kid take turns.”
The gangsters watch the cars take off.
Gangster #1 says, “We go after both of them at the same time. Let’s go!”
Gangster #2 starts up the car and drives after them.

In Gunchi’s car…
Gunchi is driving of course...
Shannon says, “So, I finally get to see your house.”
“Actually, Shannon, we go to the dojo first,” Gunchi says.
“The dojo???” a confused Shannon says.
“Then I take you two to my house,” Gunchi says.
Shannon looks at Gunchi weird. Although Gunchi still concentrates on the road, he asks without looking at Shannon, “Why do you look at me like that?”
Now Shannon looks at Gunchi even more weird and says, “How did you know I was looking at you like that?”
Gunchi answers saying, “Because you got quiet. People don't give quiet responses for no reason.”
Shannon bucks his eyes and looks at the car behind them. As Gunchi makes a turn, they make a turn also.
As Gunchi parks in the parking lot of the dojo, the suspicious car follows.

Inside of the suspicious car...
The gangsters sit watching Gunchi enter the gym with Shannon.
Gangster #1 says, “Okay, we can't attack them now, cause that gym is probably full of those kung fu bucket heads who'll fight us off, so we wait.”
Suddenly, a black van pulls up and parks in front of the gym. The gangsters see a group of men get out. These men are a Christian band.
Gangster #2 says, “Shoots... There ARE a lot of people in that gym. We go be here all night.”
“Man, shut up!” Gangster #2 says. “No we ain't.”

“What’s up, guys?” Gunchi says, greeting the band.
Band Member #1 says, “Hey, Gunchi.”
They give each other a five.
Band member #2 says, “Conrad's been telling us about the trouble you guys are in.”
Gunchi says, “Yeah, I'm glad you came by. Heather's still in the hospital. The doctors said she'll walk again in no time, but she can't serve in the Marine Corps anymore.”
Band Member #3 says, “Oh, the Corps is giving her a medical discharge.”
Gunchi says, “They already gave it to her.”
Shannon approaches.
The band Greets Shannon. Shannon greets back saying, “Hi.”
Band Member #4 says, “Listen, Gunchi, Conrad and Henry also told us about Careena, Talya, Joshua, and Tiffany being held hostage somewhere. Do you want us to pray for them?”
Gunchi replies saying, “That's exactly what they need. That's exactly what WE need, in case the gang comes for the rest of us. Anytime you get ready to pray I'm ready.”
Band Member #1 says, “Okay, we'll all join hands and touch and agree for God's divine protection over you all. Are you ready?”
Gunchi replies saying, “Yes. I'm ready.”
They all join hands.
Band Member #1 starts praying saying, “Dear gracious father. First of all, we like to thank you that Heather is gonna be as good as new very soon, and that you will continue to touch her an heal her. Father God, we don't know who Mr. Brigs is, but we pray that you keep him and his people from doing Talya and her friends any harm. . . Lord, I ask that you even touch Mr. Brigs heart before it's too late for him, and Bring Talya and her friends back un harmed. In your name we pray. Amen.”
“Amen,” everybody repeats.
“I really appreciate this, guys,” Gunchi says.
“No problem,” Band Member #1 says.
Gunchi says, “And we'll keep you in prayer that your music will continue to touch people's hearts.”
Band Member #1 says, “It will. I can feel it. Okay Gunchi, we gotta go rehearse. We just came by to see how you were doing.”

Suddenly the door gets kicked open.
The four gangsters enter, causing Gunchi and Shannon to jump in fright.
Shannon, of course, gets scared and runs into the gym’s office.
The gangsters surround Gunchi. Gangster #1 says, “Okay, I'm sure you know who we are. You're both coming with us.”
Gangster #1 says to Ganster #2, “Hey, go grab the kid. He ran into the office.”
Gunchi replies with, “Get out of here you punks!”
Gangster #2 says, “Don't try to give us no fight, man! We’ll kick your butt from street to street!”
“That’s what YOU think! Now I said get out of here!” Gunchi utters.
Gunchi executes a spinning heel kick to one of the gangsters, knocking him down.
One of the gangsters pull Shannon out of the office, who's screaming, “Let go of me!”
Another gangster attempts to hit Gunchi twice, then he executes a kick.
Gunchi blocks the punches and kicks, executes a jump scissor kick to the gangster’s head, then Gunchi executes a spinning heel kick to the gangster's head, knocking him down.
The first gangster draws out his gun and points it at Gunchi and says, “Now I SAID you coming with us! Like it or not. Or you’re dead meat! Both you AND the kid are dead meat!”
Gunchi raises his hands saying, “Okay, okay, take it easy. No need to shoot anybody.”
“Shut up and move it, man!” Gangster #1 says.

In Henry’s car…
Henry drives while Conrad is in the passenger’s seat.
Henry says, “Man, I hope Heather go be safe in that hospital.”
“You can count on it,” Conrad says. “Without her first and last name, she'll be kind'a hard for Brig's men to go into the hospital and locate.”
Henry says, “Unless they of course happen to catch Heather out of her room. Maybe in the hospital cafeteria.”
Conrad says, “I thought of that also. Perhaps I should call the hospital. Make sure security there keeps close watch of Heather.”
Suddenly, a walky talky beeps.
Conrad picks up the walky talky and holds it to his mouth saying, “This is detective Conrad X, over.”
“Sir,” the cop on the other line says. “Someone reported witnessing your friend Gunchi and your grandson being abducted from Gunchi's gym just a few minutes ago. And there was a letter left.”
“Brigs!” Henry says.

Conrad takes the letter than starts reading, then he says, “Another letter telling us where to meet him.”
“Wait, another one?” Henry quotes. “Why is Brigs sending us the same message twice?”
Conrad answers saying, “According to the previous message, he didn't say what time to meet him. Now he has a time.”
Henry moves to Conrad's side of the letter to take a glance.

Tiffany, Joey, Careena, Joshua, and Talya sit against the wall asleep.
Talya leans on Joey.
Suddenly, the door opens, waking everyone up.
Gunchi and Shannon gets shoved into the room by Russel and Jahida.
All the captives anxiously get up to scamper over to Gunchi and Shannon, asking about their status.
Russel and Jahida immediately draw their guns while aiming their guns at everyone in the room, causing them to freeze where they are.
“Auuuttt!” Russel says. “I didn't give anyone permission to get up; did I!?! Sit back down! All of you!”
All the captives sit back down.
Russel says to the captives, “Okay! We gave that cop and his partner until 8:00am to show up ready to fight Brigs! You all know whom I'm speaking of. You better hope he doesn't show up ONE second past the given time; or everyone in the room will die.”
Russel closes the door.
Talya angrily removes her shoe and throws it at the door.
The remaining captives try to calm Talya down.
“They make me so mad,” Talya says.
Russel opens the door back and looks into the room, and says, “Throw something else!”
This was a warning mor-so!
Russel slams the door shut.
Many people in the room sigh in relief.
“Talya, please don't start throwing things. I doNOT wanna die today,” Careena begs… PLEADS more-so.
Talya replies with, “Don't throw things, Careena!?! You mean besides a temper tantrum!?! Or maybe a fit!?! They get on my nerves!”
Joey places his hands on Talya's shoulders, attempting to calm her down while quoting, “Talya, Talya! Now weren't you just telling ME to calm down?”
Talya replies saying, “I didn't tell you to calm down, I told you to have faith.”
“Okay,” Joey says. “Well, what just happened to yours? What happened to YOUR faith.”
Talya gestures in frustration saying, “Joey, I haven't stopped having faith. …Not at all. …I'm just really upset right now. There IS a difference.”
Joey gestures to get Talya to calm down while saying, “Okay well, just try and relax until your dad gets here.”
Joshua gets up saying, “Hey guys, wait. I think I have a plan.”
“You have a plan, sir?” Joey says.
Joshua says, “Yes. More like a battle plan. Everyone come close.”

“Do I switch lanes yet?” Conrad asks.

“Henry. You don't have a daughter being held hostage! I do!” Conrad confirms. …REMINDS, more-so.
“I'm sorry, Conrad,” Henry says. “Believe me, I wanna get to Joshua, your daughter, and her friends just as much as you do. You know I care about them too.”
“Okay, well let’s not argue for the rest of the way to this location. This whole thing is stressful enough,” Conrad suggests.

The car that Conrad and Henry were in, drives at eighty miles per hour towards the gate.
Two gangsters guarding the gate see this.
Gangster #1 says, “Hey, somebody coming at us driving crazy!”
Gangster #2 says, “Let's shoot the suckers!”
Both gangsters pull out their guns and shoot the car.
The engine to the car explodes. The car stops just ten feet from the gangsters.
Gangster #1 says, “Come on, let's check it out.”
The two gangsters run up to the car and point their guns at the doors.
They both turn as they hear footsteps. These heard footsteps are made by Conrad and Henry.
Gangster #1 attempts to aim his gun at Conrad, but Conrad knocks the gun out of his hand and knocks him down with a left hook.
Henry kicks the gun out of the second gangster’s hand, next, he executes a spinning heel kick to the gangster’s head, knocking him out.
Conrad kicks the first gangster in the head as the first gangster attempts to get up.
The gangster falls to the ground knocked out.
Conrad searches the gangster’s pocket for a key and finds one. “Bingo.”
Henry picks up his walky talky, presses the contact button, and says, “Okay guys, gate is secure, start coming in!”
A police officer is heard over the walky talky saying, “Yes detective.”
Henry disconnects the contact.
Conrad shows Henry the keys he took out of the gangster’s pocket and assumes, “We'll take their automobile to the mansion. Brig's will think it's them.”
“Good idea,” Henry replies.

All the guys are knocked out. All the captives look to see doors open. It’s Mr. Brigs and some more of his crew.
“Mr. Brigs!” a surprised Joey utters.
Mr. Brigs says about the guys on the ground, “Ya’ll got passed those guys on the ground, but you won’t get passed us.”
“That’s what you…” Talya says, and stops short as Brigs draws a gun. “…think.”
“Ya’ll think ya’ll can come in here breaking things in my place!?! I'm gonna teach you all a lesson!” Mr. Brigs says.
“Drop the gun, Brigs!” Conrad commands.
They all turn to see Conrad and Henry, who both have guns.
“Dad!” Talya says.
Brigs points the gun at Conrad and Henry.
Henry says, “Put your gun down, man. Don't be a stupid idiot.”
Brigs hesitates, then he drops his gun.
“Talya, Joshua, guys, come over here by me,” Conrad orders.
As soon as Joshua, Joey, Tiffany, Talya, Careena, and Gunchi approach Henry and Conrad, Henry aims his gun further at the captives saying, “Okay, all of you . . . Empty your pockets and lay face down! NOW! Do it!”
“They ain't got weapons,” Mr. Brigs says. “It's just me with the gun, and I just dropped it like you told me.”
“Boloney!” Henry disbelieves. “Empty your freaking pockets and lay down!”
Suddenly, the two gangsters who were at the gate show up aiming their guns at Henry, Conrad, and the other captives.
Gangster #1 says to Conrad and Henry, “Drop YOUR guns, pigs! The arrest is canceled.”
Suddenly, sirens are heard.
“Oh yeah?” Conrad replies.
“Great, they have back up!” Mr. Brigs notices and mentions.
“How stupid do we look, Brigs?” Conrad asks rhetorically. “Did you REALLY think me and my partner would show up alone? Did you REALLY think THAT!?!”
Mr. Brigs answers saying, “Just like this, you're gonna arrest us?”
Conrad and Henry get obvious looks on their faces.
“The heck kind of question is that, Brigs?” Conrad asks, then he says, “I think you know as well as we do; it's over.”
“No, it ain’t,” Brigs says. “I wanna fight you one on one.”
Mr. Brigs takes a knife out of his pocket and drops it to the floor; then he says, “…With absolutely NO weapons. I wanna see how tough you really are.”

As the officers began cuffing the gangsters while pulling Brigs up and arresting him, Gunchi, Talya, Careena, Tiffany, Joey, and all the other good guys start cheering, than they all give Conrad a group hug.
“Dad, you did it,” a VERY excited Talya says.
“Mr. X, you had me worried,” Joey says to Conrad.
Conrad responds saying, “He had me worried too. I was only on the receiving end of his steroids.”
Joey says, “Yeah, same way he tried to get me to beat Talya.”
“But you still got'em,” Tiffany adds while speaking to Conrad.
Joshua says to Conrad, “I knew you could do it, war buddy.”
“Believe me Joshua, despite him using steroids to cheat, I didn't doubt myself either,” Conrad says. “Not even a little bit.”
Careena says to Joey, “Joey, looks like you're gonna be safe now.”
“…Doesn't look that way; it IS that way,” Joey says.

At the Martial arts supply store…
Elder Stone speaks with the boy.
“I was one of the gangsters the cheerleaders fought at the high school. That was the only time I been arrested. A while later, the class of 1987 had their prom. Of course Talya went with Joey,” Elder Stone says. “Eventually, Heather learned to walk again, and was completely restored, just as that Christian band asked in prayer. By September of 1988, Heather and Gunchi were married.”
“Wait, back to the fight at the MANSION. That was the only time you've been arrested?” the boy asks.
“Yep,” Elder Stone says. “Locked up for two years, gave my life to God during my sentence. Never got arrested again. And like I said, it's been seventy-five years.”
“What ever happened to the rest of the people in the story?” the boy asks. “The book doesn’t say.”
Elder stone answers saying, “Well, Conrad lived to be 115 years old. So I heard anyway. Our leader, Mr. Brigs, also became a Christian by 1988. Two years after being locked up. That's what I heard anyway. Brigs lived to be 96 years old. I don't know what happened to everyone else in the gang. I never heard from them or saw them again until this day.”
The picture that Elder Stone showed the boy earlier sits on a desk.
