“What are you saying? Have you gone mad?” She began shouting at them.
“You people have brought this stuff for me? Someone must have given it to you. How would you know this is for me?”
One of the nurses picked up a bag and showed it to her, revealing the tag.
“Look at this. Your name is written on every bag.”
She snatched the bag from her hand and held it herself, staring at it closely.
“Yes, the name is mine, but that doesn’t mean this expensive stuff belongs to me. This is worth millions. These are all international brands.”
She said while checking each bag.
“These are all my favorite colors…”
She pulled out a shirt from one of the bags and checked its size. She froze in shock because what she saw was deeply surprising for her. The size written on the shirt was exactly her size, the one that fit her perfectly.
She became nervous and began pulling clothes out of the rest of the bags, checking them one by one. As she continued checking, her astonishment kept growing. Every single size was the same, perfect. Every item was exactly what she needed, as if someone knew that she desperately needed these things at this moment.
All of them were in her favorite colors, as if someone knew her likes and dislikes very well.
There was one bag that was different from all the others. When she picked up that bag, her mouth fell open in shock.
That bag had her picture on it.
And written on it were the words:
“Forever Mine.”
She was deeply shocked after seeing all of this, yet she could not deny it either. Names could be the same, but the picture on that bag was hers. Who could have done all this, and why? Did he not know that she was no longer the person she used to be?
But he knew all of this. That’s why he had done everything so precisely.
At that moment, thoughts were swirling relentlessly in her mind, and her restlessness had reached its peak.
She opened that bag.
Inside it, there was a box. When she took that box out, she froze in shock, because in her hands was the most precious and expensive mobile phone, one that was difficult, if not impossible, for a normal person to afford.
She placed her hands on her head and cried out,
She was extremely distressed.
“What is happening to me?”
She said to herself.
She was about to put the mobile back into the bag when suddenly her eyes fell on a card. She looked at the card in astonishment and then opened it to read it.
What was written inside forced her to think.
On the right side of the card, it was written
I may have spent the evening, it is true,
But every dusk, the longing for you only grew stronger.
The sun you once worshiped so devotedly
It did not stay with you,
not even for a moment.
Your silence is music for me,
my solitude, the home of your thoughts.
I am not an evening meant to fade away;
I know how to walk beside you.
She had made up her mind that whoever this person was, she would not keep these expensive gifts. She said to the nurses present there,
“Take all these bags away. I don’t want any of this.”
The card she was holding in her hand, she tore it half right in front of all of them.
“Ma’am, what have you done?” one of the nurses exclaimed.
“Why? Did you want it?” She looked at her sharply. “You should have said so earlier.”
“No, this was for you,” the nurse said softly. “He gave it to you with so much love.”
“Just shut up and get out. I don’t want to ruin such expensive things by throwing them away. Take everything and get lost within two minutes.”
She shouted at all of them.
Seeing her anger, all of them picked up as many bags as they had brought and quickly disappeared.
After they left, she muttered to herself,
“Whoever you are, just come in front of me once. Then I’ll tell you who I really am… who could I possibly be that you’re being so kind to me?”
She spoke in distress.
She was wandering the streets like a beggar. She had no belongings that would make her look like a traveler, and her condition was not good either. Her clothes smelled, because her body had not felt a drop of water for two months. Her hair was so tangled that even a comb would be useless against it.
She didn’t know where to go. She was just roaming helplessly, her face covered, moving aimlessly from one place to another.
Night had fallen, yet the roads were still busy with traffic. In front of her stood a hotel. She stopped and stared at it.
“This is where he used to lie to me,”
she thought,
“The one who destroyed my heart, ruined it, turned it barren so barren that no new leaf could ever grow again.”
Her eyes were filled with tears, but in front of those tears stood such a strong wall that they could not come out. She swallowed her tears and turned away, walking forward.
Her past was walking beside her.
She had wrapped herself in a large shawl so that no one could see her ugly existence. Her eyes were forced to see; if she had the power, she would have hidden them too.
For some time now, she felt as if someone was following her, but she didn’t dare to look back.
Suddenly, someone grabbed her hand.
When she lifted her eyes, she saw two hooligan boys standing in front of her.
And one of them was standing slightly ahead of the sports bike, while the other was sitting on the sports bike behind him, the engine still running.
“Who are you? Leave me, I’m telling you, leave me!”
She covered her face with one hand and, with the other, tried desperately to pull free from the boy’s grip.
“Oh, sweetheart, show us your face. Why have you hidden it?”
The one sitting on the sports bike said.
“It must be very beautiful.”
“Don’t you people be ashamed? Why should I show my face?”
She shouted, and then she began screaming for help.
“Help! Save me! Help!”
A faint, mischievous smile appeared on the faces of those goons. They knew very well that where they were standing, no one was going to come to save her.
Seizing the moment, she bit down hard on the boy’s hand, the one who was holding her. Her teeth did not sink in deeply because she bit him through the shawl, without revealing her face, but it was enough.
“Ah!”
He screamed and released her hand.
The moment she was free, she ran backward toward the direction she had come from.
“She’s running, catch her!”
The boy sitting on the sports bike shouted.
The other boy, who had been standing, immediately mounted the sports bike and said to the one in front,
“Go after her, run!”
At his command, the boys instantly restarted the sports bike and sped off.
Hearing the engine roaring back to life, she became terribly frightened.
Her breath was coming in gasps. She had managed to get a little distance away from them, but saving her life from those wolves was difficult because they were on a bike and could attack her at any moment.
She stopped and turned back to look.
Seeing them racing toward her at full speed, she was struck with terror. Her mind stopped working. She could see no way out. Ahead of her was nothing but a deserted road,
+ no people, not even a sign of life.
Panicking again, she turned forward, took a deep breath, and started running once more.
But those boys were not willing to give up the chase.
They have come very close to her now. One of them, the one sitting behind, grabbed her shawl and pulled it hard. It tightened around her neck, cutting off her breath.
“Ah”
She shivered violently and, with both hands, tried to remove the cloth.
The boys moved forward on the bike, and she, unwillingly, began moving forward alongside them. Somehow, with great effort, she managed to pull the shawl off her neck.
As soon as the cloth came off, she stumbled forward and fell face-first from the shock of the sudden movement.
Someone grabbed her waist, and she slid against their chests. Her eyes were tightly shut in fear.
When she realized that her head was not hitting the hard road but resting on something soft, she opened her eyes.
As soon as she opened them, her hand accidentally landed on someone’s chest. Panic surged through her. Her heart raced, and her hands began to tremble.
When she looked up, her eyes froze on the person before her.
Those beautiful eyes… that beautiful hair, she was seeing them for the first time.
He was so handsome that his eyes alone were enough to describe him. In his eyes, there was boundless love for her. His hands held her with such tenderness that it felt entirely new to her.
“What have I done… my face is so… ugly,” she thought.
She pushed him gently and, with one hand, covered the side of her face that had been burned.
Her heartbeat raced uncontrollably. She felt as if it could stop at any moment. She was terrified of him. She was trembling.
Slowly, she began to take steps backward, trying to put distance between them, while he kept watching her.
The two goons were watching this entire scene.
Suddenly, he turned his gaze toward them and whistled sharply.
The moment he whistled, four tall, well-built, intimidating bodyguards were standing in front of those goons.
As soon as they saw them, the boys’ throats went dry. They weren’t getting good vibes at all. Something was definitely wrong.
The one sitting in front on the sports bike said to the one behind,
“I’m feeling the same.”
In response, the other agreed.
Both looked at the guards, who seemed fully alert and charged with fury, eager to beat them to a pulp. Yet some force was holding them back; they were waiting for someone’s signal.
The guard looked at him.
He met their gaze and gestured toward them with his eyes.
The moment he signaled, the four guards attacked them in pairs, two on each.
“Save us! Forgive us! We won’t touch any girl again! Save us, save us, please stop them! They’re hitting us so hard!”
They screamed at the top of their lungs as punches rained down on them.
It was raining when one of the guards grabbed one boy by the collar with one hand and the other by the collar with his other hand and asked,
“Boss, what should we do with them?”
He gave another look just with his eyes.
They understood immediately. It felt as if they could read every signal of his without effort, as if he didn’t even need to speak.
The guards threw both boys in front of him and shouted,
“Apologize!”
His heart was pounding. His throat had gone dry. She was trembling from head to toe in terror.
They had been beaten so badly that they didn’t even have the strength to speak. One guard placed his foot on one of them.
“Y-yes… we’re apologizing… forgive us… Please forgive us,”
Both of them begged, shaking uncontrollably.
She looked at him standing in front of her.
If I don’t forgive them, he will kill them,
She thought.
She looked at them and said,
“I forgive you.”
The moment she said it, the guard looked at her. This time, she gave no signal.
The guard removed his foot, but their condition was so bad that both of them fainted from the pain.
The guards lifted them, put them into a car, and said to the driver,
“Take them to the hospital.”
Without asking any questions, the driver took both to the hospital.
After they were gone, she began to look at him. She wanted to run away from there, but after seeing his power, she was deeply terrified, and for some unknown reason, her feet felt rooted to the ground.
Then he started walking toward her.
Seeing him come closer, her hands and feet began to tremble. She started taking long, uneven breaths. Now he was standing extremely close to her; there was only the distance between them.
She panicked so badly that dizziness overcame her, and she collapsed unconsciously in front of him.
He caught her in his arms.7Please respect copyright.PENANAiFu8bi8EmF
