I returned Korn's notebook before classes began.

He accepted it with both hands.

"I checked everything."

"There were only two small mistakes."

"I knew you'd find them."

I laughed softly.

"You make very few mistakes."

Just before he walked away, he opened the notebook.

His eyes stopped on the sentence I had written.
