Ricardo just recently moved into town and is excited to befriend the neighbor, Killian. At first, Killian is cold to Ricardo and his sister, but over the summer, their relationship slowly grows, and soon, Killian actually considers them friends. But as soon as school starts up again, Killian is acting weird. He keeps his distance from the pair, and after someone tells them a rumor about him, they know why.
