There was a week-long break before the mid-term assessment test began, but before that, principal Agnus set up a meeting with the trio. The three were confused, but they knew it was important if not even Echo was invited.
"So, how was the beating yesterday?" Anas asked worried after seeing Karasu and Nex both having new bruises.
"After one punch from her, I threw up," Karasu replied.
"I almost thought both of my ulnas was gone after trying to block," Nex replied.
"By the way, how did you figure the riddle?" Karasu asked.
"Acts instantly, never runs away, always finds a way, sometimes make the impossible look easy. Acts, never, always, sometimes. A-n-a-s, my name," Anas replied.
"Okay, who would have thought of that?" Nex complained.
"Uhh me? But let's forget about the riddle, we are close to her office already," Anas replied.
As they walked, they wondered why principal Agnus needed them, but none of them came to a conclusion, but they were already out of time as they arrived in her office.
"You three are going to clear a magnitude 5 camp in the forest," Principal Agnus told the trio.
"What!? That's not easy for just the three of us, can we at least bring Echo?" Anas asked.
"No, you can't. This wasn't my call to make, it was... King David," principal Agnus said. The trio were dumbfounded at her statement.
"The reason is because he wanted to see just how strong you three are. And Echo wasn't invited because he knew Echo wouldn't get stronger in the future, and so you three are up," principal Agnus continued.
"But why does he want to see our strength? Didn't he already see just how strong we are in the Starfall Crown?" Karasu questioned.
"I'm also not clear why, but I do know if you three defeated the camp, all of you will get promoted to gold rank immediately," principal Agnus replied.
"But Echo is also gold rank in strength. Just because he can't grow doesn't mean he isn't strong," Anas objected.
"Don't worry, I gave my recommendation to ANGEL for him to be silver rank immediately. That's all that I can do for him," principal Agnus told Anas.
"What does a magnitude 5 camp have? The highest we fought is technically magnitude 6, but we had help from teachers and Glaive kinda messed it up," Nex asked.
"From what I know, one pillar and at least two extra fingers," principal Agnus explained.
"Well then, me and you are fighting the pillar," Anas said to Karasu.
"Wait, why do I have to fight two fingers?" Nex asked.
"What are you complaining about? We can easily kill fingers now," Karasu said as he flicked Nex's head.
"Well then, it's settled. And also, 5 days maximum. Good luck," principal Agnus told the trio.
They packed what they needed and arrived at the south gate. This time, the camp is at the middle of the forest, so there were going to be more threats for the trio.
They fought off random Cruels and wildlife animals as they trekked through the forest. Before long, they arrived at the camp on just the second day. The camp was much more fortified— watchtowers on each corner, Cruels guarding the entrance, rovers surrounding the walls of the camp.
"I'll summon chunks to crush all of the outside forces as you two charged into the camp. Lower the number as much as possible before engaging in a fight with your respective opponent. I'll go in and kill the rest as you fight your opponents. After I clean up the randoms, I'll help crow fight the pillar," Anas explained as he calculated the coordinates to where he needed to summon the chunks.
"And, now!" Anas commanded.
Before any Cruels saw Karasu and Nex dashing in, they were crushed by sapphire chunks and even the watchtowers weren't stable enough and collapsed at the weight.
Karasu shot a blood orb at the gates, bursting them open as Nex sent floating bone fists at the Cruels, knocking them back and breaking their formation. The Cruels were about to charge at them, but small frags of blood impaled them.
Before Karasu and Nex caused more chaos, the pillar and three fingers came out of the main house.
"Three is better than two!" Nex said as he created Hydra, sending the heads at all three of them, biting and shooting a beam right at their faces.
"Who dares to fight me and my camp?" The pillar groaned in frustration.
"I did bitch!!" Karasu taunted as blood moons shot beams at the pillar. Its eyes glowed orange-gold as it created a shield from amber. It then sent a wave of amber to encase the beams, but the high pressure easily cut through the amber.
Before it could counter, Megalodon came crashing down at it and exploded. It survived, but then 7 arrow tipped beams pierced through it. Although it was barely standing, it still used amber to encase itself, forming a forcefield of amber. It thought it was safe, but 7 bone hydra heads came and shot purple beams, cracking the forcefield.
"Please!! I surrender! Take everything I have!" It cried out, but Karasu used X-Raven, cutting the forcefield and the pillar at once, killing it.
"That was... much easier than expected," Anas said as he looked blankly at the pillar's body.
"Those 3 idiots also were quite weak," Nex commented.
"I think we are almost stronger than a pillar," Karasu said.
"Yeah, we all didn't almost die. I know we defeated one after the first year's branch, but that one was gold ranked at best. This was a magnitude 5 camp and we cleared it in a few minutes," Anas said, still confused at this scene.
"Let's go back I guess," Nex said as he ripped off the head of the pillar with his bone arms.
Just as they were about to leave, rumbling started to shake the ground and the spider queen came from underneath them.
They were about to fight it, but just as it saw who they were, it froze. The trio were at first confused, but Anas realized what happened.
"It's afraid of us... It remembered us from last year, how thoughtful of it, let's just leave," Anas told the two boys.
After two days, they got back to Celestial Star Academy and told principal Agnus about the raid and the spider queen, she laughed at their experience.
"Oh my, you three are so dangerous now. Well anyways, I'll tell king David about your achievements and you can focus on the mid-term assessment test," principal Agnus said as she grabbed the pillar's head and floated off.10Please respect copyright.PENANAF3eFg49gR6
