舊城區被終年不散的冷霧封鎖，大火焚毀的孤兒院廢墟之中，矗立著一尊焦黑的黑石聖母像。

閣樓裡的失語作家喉間卡滿了碎玻璃，無法吐出半句人語，只能割開腕間血肉，混著焦木研磨成墨，將滿腹的痛苦寫在藍色帛書上，塞進聖母掌心漆黑的空洞。

他本以為自己會永遠獨自與黑夜對峙，直到某天，洞口中遞來一隻牛皮紙袋，袋中躺著一朵枯骨薔薇，紙面刻下一行字：謝謝你，把我們的痛苦，寫得這麼美。

兩個被世界視為畸形的破碎靈魂，自此以文字為橋、以悲傷為媒介，在廢墟祭壇之上，展開一場沒有語言、只屬於靈魂的隔空對話。

這是一場緩緩獻祭的靈魂共舞，當骨血逐漸枯竭，他們終將在夜色裡化為荒城永遠的守夜人。
