This is a historical fiction novelette with first-person narrative based on historical events and Christian persecution that happened in the land of China during the 20th century. 

An agnostic university student girl named Kun, filled with emotional turmoil and confusion. She has already sent numerous letters, pouring out her thoughts and questions, but has received no response. Caught between reason and emotions, she battles with her conflicting thoughts. Friends and her own reasoning suggest that her fiancé has become indifferent and uncaring, possibly losing interest in their relationship. However, she struggles to accept this notion and finds it difficult to believe he could be so heartless. As a person who delves deep into matters, she is troubled by the inexplicable nature of events and searches for logical answers. She questions whether he has grown tired of her, found someone else, or if something else has occurred. Despite her assumptions and near-confirmation of her theories, she yearns for a definitive answer directly from her fiancé. Her scientific mindset and determination drive her to verify theories through personal experiences. With the promise to return and embrace her singlehood, she heads to the train station for a one-way trip to Hong Kong, leaving behind her concerned friends, and soon encounters the most unbelievable circumstances and clash of beliefs.
