《行廚錄》
乾隆十一年,台灣多災。
風雨、乾旱、缺糧、瘟疫,
讓這座原本依靠海運與米糧維生的島嶼,
開始變得搖搖欲墜。
有人在官署裡翻看糧冊,
有人在港口驗米,
有人在番社爭地,
也有人只是守著灶火,
想辦法把有限的食物留到明天。
《行廚錄》最初,
只是想寫古代食譜。
但查著查著,
那些藏在《飲膳正要》《吳氏中饋錄》《居家必用事類全集》裡的菜餚,
慢慢變成了人。
變成了碼頭上的搬工、
牛車道上的行腳、
番社裡的爭執、
書院中的士子、
以及灶房裡,
那一口還熱著的鍋。
這不是論文,
也不是戲說。
而是一場試著把「人如何活著」重新寫回去的故事。
