神在注視

民國八十三年，嘉義棲鳳村發生了一件事。這件事後來被寫進閭山派的內部記錄，被村民以沉默代代相傳，卻從未被任何人徹底遺忘。

那年農曆七月，一個從台北來的戲班班主，為了省錢，用保麗龍做的假祭品欺騙神明，撤掉了留給「好兄弟」的七張椅子。他以為神是泥塑木雕，以為鬼看不見真相，以為人可以永遠騙下去。

七天後，他在戲台上跪著死了。

死的時候，他的喉嚨塞滿了那些保麗龍祭品，內臟燒成焦炭，體表卻幾乎完好。法醫說：「這是神明殺人。」

這本書，就是關於那七天的記錄。

我不是要講一個恐怖故事。我是要讓你看見——在這世上，還有一些東西值得敬畏。當敬畏消失的時候，審判就會降臨。
