Chapter 24: Echoes of Backlash

The air smelled of disinfectant. The sound of wind poured into the room through the blinds, bringing a slight chill.

Xiao Qian opened his eyes, his vision blurred for a few seconds. A white ceiling, the heart rate monitor beeping. He lay in the laboratory's sleep pod, the sound of the sea still faint in his ears—but outside the window was clearly land.

Lin Mo's voice sounded beside him: "Awake?"

Xiao Qian turned his head to see Lin Mo leaning against the pod, looking exhausted, holding a half-finished cup of cold coffee. "You were unconscious for eight hours. We once thought... you wouldn't come out."

Xiao Qian reached up to touch his ear. The obsidian feather pendant was still there, but its light had completely dimmed. "Where is that sea?" he asked in a low voice.

Luo An tapped the keyboard rapidly at the console, his tone tense: "Shielded. All 'Mirror Sea' data was automatically cleared the moment you woke up."

"Cleared?" Lin Mo frowned. "Even the backups?"

"Even the backups."

Xiao Qian closed his eyes, the Island Master's voice flashing through his mind: "Don't forget, I am always watching you." His heart tightened. "He... shouldn't still be in my head."

Luo An looked up, grave: "Lin Mo, look at this." On the screen, intercepted brainwave data flickered. "It's Xiao Qian's brainwaves... responding to an external signal. In other words—he hasn't left the 'Mirror Sea'."

Xiao Qian's fingertips turned cold. At that moment, the earring vibrated slightly. The heart rate monitor's waveform became erratic. "I know I'm in reality," Xiao Qian said softly, "but... he is here too."

The laboratory lights dimmed as the system rebooted. A new line of Whispering Script appeared: [The dream sea has not ceased; the tide returns.]

第二十四章：反噬回声

空气里有消毒水的味道。风声透过百叶窗灌入室内，带来微微的冷意。小千睁开眼，视线模糊了几秒。

白色的天花板，心率仪滴滴作响。他躺在实验室的休眠舱内，耳边还隐约听到海的声音——可窗外明明是陆地。

林墨的声音在他耳边响起：“醒了？”小千转头，看见林墨正靠在舱边，神色疲惫，手里还拿着半杯冷掉的咖啡。 “你昏迷了八个小时。我们一度以为……你出不来了。”

小千抬手触到耳边，黑曜石羽坠还在，只是光芒已彻底暗下。 “那片海呢？”他低声问。

洛安在控制台前快速敲打着键盘：“被屏蔽了。所有'镜海'的数据在你苏醒那一刻自动清除。”

“清除？”林墨皱眉。洛安点头：“连备份都没了。”

小千闭上眼，脑海中闪过岛主的声音：“别忘了，我一直在看着你。”心脏猛地一紧。 “他……不该还在我脑里。”

洛安抬头，神色凝重：“林墨，你看看这个。”屏幕上闪烁着被拦截的脑波数据。 “是小千的脑波……在回应外部信号。换句话说——他没离开'镜海'。”

小千指尖发凉。就在此时，耳坠轻轻震动。林墨按住他的肩膀：“冷静！你在现实！”

“我知道。”小千声音极轻，“可是……他也在。”屏幕闪烁，一行声谑文字浮现：【梦海未息，潮汐归来。】
