「社會安全網」被國家視為推動社會福利，強化安定秩序的制度，希望能網住掉落出體系的邊緣弱勢民眾。然而，大眾對社會安全網的理解卻更像是「『社工』安全網」，發生相關社會事件，媒體與民眾認為是「社工安全網」破洞，甚至獵捕女巫，找出需要為此承擔責任的基層社會工作人員，從2024年03月12日，社工遭到檢警上銬，而使大眾熟知的剴剴保母虐嬰案，媒體與視聽群眾肉搜社工並指責其才是「殺人兇手」可窺之。然而，真實為何，我們終究不能一窺。

本故事以相類似事件進行虛構寫作，故事中的家屬主張社福中心之社工因為疏忽或蓄意瀆職，因而造成其服務的年邁「案夫妻」因而死亡，並對大眾宣稱「她（社工）殺了我的家人」。

殺人兇手到底為何者，我們又該如何定義誰殺害了誰呢？
