Chapter XXVI: A Geological Mystery
Back at the University of the Constellations, the atmosphere shifts from one of tension and recovery to one of determined focus. The heroic students, led by Ryujin, are now under the rigorous training regime of Hajime. The training grounds, once a place of routine exercises, have become the crucible for honing their newfound abilities and resilience.
Ryujin: "We've got to push harder. We never know when we might face another threat."
Hajime: "Exactly, Ryujin. Everyone, focus! Use your strengths, but also learn to cover your weaknesses."
Arita: "Sir, why isn't Dr. Aoshima here?"
Hajime: "Oh, he has an important research coming up about the specimens found during the Starlight Festival Incident."
Hageshi manipulates his sand with increased precision, forming intricate shapes and defensive barriers.
Hageshi: "Time to make some precisions of sand."
Hajime: "What types of sand do you manipulate or produce Hageshi?"
Hageshi: "Sometimes, it's white sand, coral sand, and black sand, Sir"
Hajime: "Woah, black sand? Like the ones used in magnetism?"
Hageshi: "Yes, Sir. But it's tricky since they are much more dense and heavier to control"
Hajime: "Try practicing with black sand for now, it can be useful one day"
Kuebiko experiments with his photosynthetic abilities, creating powerful vines that can both attack and shield.
Hajime: "Have you tried producing other plants? Rafflesia? Aloe Vera? Mimosa?"
Kuebiko: "I'll try, Sir. But it depends on my diet. If I eat stinky meat, I can produce Rafflesia. If I drink a lot of water, I can produce Aloe Vera. The Mimosa Plant is natural."
Hajime: "I see. So, color pigment and scent of the plant can trouble you?"
Kuebiko: "Yes, Sir. It still depends on my diet though"
Hajime: "Alright, try producing prickly vines or toxic plants"
Inoshiro's control over fire becomes more refined, his flames burning hotter and brighter under his complete command.
Hajime: "Concentrate on the blue flame"
Inoshiro: "Why, Sir"
Hajime: "The larger the blue part of the flame, it will be more intense"
Haruto practices his shooting star technique, his aim becoming uncannily accurate.
Hajime: "Focus on the target in front of you, aim, and hit"
Ryujin, mastering his control over lightning, learns to harness and direct his power with pinpoint accuracy, closely observed by Hajime. The students aren't just refining their abilities but also strengthening their teamwork, becoming a more cohesive unit with each passing day.
Meanwhile, across the university, other students are inspired by the bravery of their peers, striving to improve their skills and intelligence. The spirit of growth and determination permeates the campus, fueling academic and personal development alike.
As Dr. Aoshima passes by the training grounds, he can't help but feel a sense of pride and hope. These students are the future, and their progress is a beacon of light. With a renewed sense of purpose, he heads to the chemistry lab. Though he is a physicist by trade, the mystery of the stone intrigues him beyond measure.
Dr. Aoshima: "This stone... there's something otherworldly about it. I need to understand its secrets."
He meticulously examines the stone, noting its unusual properties. As he tries to take a small piece for further analysis, he feels a strange, hypnotic presence emanating from it. It is as if the stone is trying to communicate with him, to pull him into its depths. He shakes off the sensation, focusing on the task at hand.
Dr. Aoshima: "Stay focused. This could be the key to something extraordinary."
He conducts a series of tests, examining the stone's malleability, solubility, and subjecting it to a flame test. The results are baffling. The stone does not match any known minerals on Earth. Its composition is unique, suggesting it might be extra-terrestrial in origin.
Dr. Aoshima: "Could this stone be from another world? Another dimension?"
He delves into research, applying theories of physics to hypothesize that the stone could be connected to multiple worlds, dimensions, or even parallel universes. The possibilities are endless, and the excitement of the discovery is palpable. However, despite his best efforts, he is unable to retrieve conclusive results. The mystery remains just out of reach, frustrating and intriguing him in equal measure.
Principal Kimura: "Dr. Aoshima, how are you progressing with further analysis of the stone?"
Dr. Aoshima looks up from his work, a mixture of determination and disappointment in his eyes.
Dr. Aoshima: "I've made some interesting discoveries, Principal, but nothing definitive. The stone's properties suggest it's not from our world, but I can't pinpoint its exact origin or purpose."
Principal Kimura: "Perhaps you need a fresh perspective. Why don't you consult with your father? He may have insights that could help unravel this mystery."
Dr. Aoshima considers the suggestion. His father, a renowned physicist, has extensive knowledge in areas that might provide the missing piece to this puzzle.
Dr. Aoshima: "You're right. I should consult with him. This stone could be the key to understanding so much more about our universe."
Principal Kimura: "Go immediately, Dr. Aoshima. This may be connected to unraveling the mysteries of this world and beyond."
With the Principal's encouragement, Dr. Aoshima prepares to leave for his father's research facility. He gathers his notes and samples, feeling a sense of urgency and excitement. This journey could lead to groundbreaking discoveries, not just for him, but for humanity as a whole.
As he makes his way out of the university, he stops by the training grounds one last time. Ryujin and his friends are in the midst of an intense training session, their dedication and progress evident.
Dr. Aoshima: "Ryujin, keep pushing forward. You all have incredible potential. I'll be back soon, hopefully with answers."
Ryujin nods, a determined look in his eyes.
Ryujin: "Thank you, Dr. Aoshima. We'll keep training and be ready for whatever comes next."
With a final nod, Dr. Aoshima leaves the university, his mind buzzing with possibilities. The road ahead is uncertain, but he is ready to face it, driven by the pursuit of knowledge and the hope of unlocking the secrets of the universe.
As he travels to his father's facility, he reflects on the recent events. The battle with Professor Nakamura, the strange stone, the mysterious powers – it all feels like pieces of a larger puzzle. And he is determined to fit those pieces together.
Upon arriving, he is shocked to find many journalists outside the facility. He quickly dismisses them, knowing the sensitive nature of his father's work.
Inside, as he searches for files, he accidentally bumps into a mechanical computer and turns it on. Without hesitation, he uses the computer to call his father.
Dr. Hiroshi Aoshima: "Welcome, son. You look like you have something fascinating to share."
Dr. Aoshima: "Indeed, father. I have a mystery that might just change everything we know about the universe."
As they delve into the specimen, Dr. Aoshima begins to explain his findings, showing his father the stone and the results of his tests. Dr. Hiroshi listens intently, his eyes gleaming with curiosity.
Dr. Hiroshi Aoshima: "This is extraordinary. We must delve deeper into this. The implications could be profound. Come to the house, and I must warn you, this is very top secret that is why I oblige you to come here."
Together, they embark on a new chapter of discovery, their minds united in the quest for understanding. The journey will be long and challenging, but they are ready to face it, driven by the thrill of discovery and the promise of unraveling the mysteries of the cosmos.
