夜里，这座城市会漏光。便利店玻璃门、旧小区铁门、楼道拐角，会突然出现一条细细的“光缝”——那不是裂玻璃，是人与人关系断开的地方。
林照只是个夜班店员，却误打误撞成了“修补师”：他能走进光缝，把那些卡在喉咙里、录了无数次也发不出去的“未完成句”送到该去的人那里。只是每修补一次，他都得付出代价：闻不到雨、认不出脸、甚至再也不能说谎。
更危险的是，有人专门“收割遗憾”，让人不再痛，也不再爱。林照一边接委托，一边追查收割者的影子，却慢慢发现：缝隙里有人一直在等他——“你不是第一次来，你只是把那一次的自己忘了。”
