作者序

《泥城之戀》是從張愛玲《傾城之戀》的一個核心想法出發的：
當外在世界真的崩塌了，關係就再也沒有退路，只能面對真相。

這本書不是重寫《傾城之戀》，而是把那個母題放進花蓮光復，放進現在這個災害反覆、新聞很快翻頁的時代。當家園受損、生活被打斷，人要怎麼相遇、怎麼留下來、怎麼在一片混亂裡重新靠近彼此，重新確認「我們的位置在哪裡」。

故事的靈感來自 2025 年 9 月 23 日馬太鞍溪堰塞湖潰壩相關的災害訊息與公共報導。不過這是一部小說，人物與情節都是虛構的，並不指涉任何特定的人或事件。

我寫《泥城之戀》，不是想把災難寫成浪漫故事。
我只是想留下來：在現實真的撐不住的時候，人仍然怎麼用很小、很笨、但很真實的方式彼此扶著走——
至少，讓光復不要那麼快被忘記。
