The wrong box.

I am a piece of a puzzle. An important piece I'm sure. Something that fits right in the centre of a beautiful picture. Something that makes something whole.

I just happen to be in the wrong box. 

So now everything fits. Everyone fits. I stand outside the picture with envy. How wonderful it must be to simply fit. How did I end up on this side. Was I created for this reason?

Some sick way of keeping balance in this world. To make sure there are people to gaze over this beautiful picture made of puzzle from a box I could only dream of being a part of. 

I carry around this hole in me. All empty and cold. For all of eternity, I fear.

Oddly I can't seem to get used to being in the wrong box.
