“那搅扰天下的，不至于搅扰你。”一对小人物在605BC的黎凡特乱局中，追寻尊严的故事。

克赛诺克洛斯（意为 外邦人的荣耀）是一个克里特佣兵和西顿女子的儿子，从小生活在西顿，却出于某些原因追随父亲的路，成为了埃及的佣兵。但在哈马战役之后，巴比伦的军队即将到来。

耶胡迪特（意为 犹大女子）是一个生活在撒玛利亚的犹大文士之女。她的家人被害，自己身处险境，却在某次高热之后，义无反顾地前往耶路撒冷，宣告“那城必毁灭”的预言。
