"Welcome back to everyone's #1 live game show: The Challenge!" Alec announced.
Lily, Chloé and Sabrina entered just then.
"Hey, boys!" Lily waves at Adrien and Nino.
"Hey, Lily." Adrien smiles at his crush.
"Hey, dudettes." Nino greeted the iconic queens.
"Are we on time?" Sabrina asked.
"Don't worry, you're just on time." Adrien assured her.
"Let's give it up for our awesome contestant, Nino!" Alec introduced.
Adrien nudges the boy's shoulder, as Sabrina gives her boyfriend a reassuring kiss on the cheek.
"G-Good luck, Nino," Sabrina gives him a small smile.
"Thanks." Now feeling confident from Sabrina's words, Nino walked up on stage.
"Good luck, huh?" Chloé playfully nudges her BFF.
"What? I-I was just encouraging him." Sabrina makes up an excuse.
"Uh-huh..." Lily smirks.
"So Nino, you're a student and a DJ. That's pretty awesome!" Alec praised as a man placed a DJ stand on the stage behind him and Nino. "Check out the decks we got for you!"
Nino with Alec turned to see the DJ set.
Dupain-Cheng Residence - Living Room
"Grounded? For what?!" Marinette asks.
Tom takes out a sheet of paper. "Let's jog your memory, Marinette. Monday morning, absent from P.E..."
Marinette smiles sheepishly as she remembered she had to buy her project supplies due to forgetting. "I was in study hall."
Tom looks at her suspiciously before reading again. "Friday evening, absent from study hall."
Marionette blinked twice, remembering she saved a kitten stuck in a tree, "I was at P.E.!"
"You're never where you're supposed to be, Marinette!" Tom sits on the couch. "The only way we can keep track of you is by keeping you here, grounded." His wife places a hand on this thigh as comfort.
"But I was invited..." Marinette gestures to Nino who was on the TV screen. "Nino is my friend, he was counting on me."
At that moment, she had lied about Nino inviting her. She only said that because she wanted to see her 'beloved' Adrien. However, she didn't know that neither boy would be happy to see her.
TVi Studio
"So, the challenge the viewers have chosen for you is... to get the mayor of Paris, André Bourgeois, to dance!" Alec cheered while the mayor popped up on the screen. "Thank you for agreeing to play with us today, sir. What are Nino's chances tonight?"
"Zero. I despise dancing. The last time I set foot on a dance floor, Madonna was in kindergarten." André revealed.
Dupain-Cheng Residence - Living Room
"I know Nino's your friend. But until your unexcused absences come to an end, that's the way it's going to me." Tom crossed his arms.
"Awesome..." Marinette mutters, walking to her room.
Marinette enters her room and sits in her chair while groaning. "Being grounded is so unfair!" She turns around in her chair, turning on the computer; it shows Nino DJing. "And the fact Adrien was there today! Can my life get any worse."
Hawk Moth's Lair
The window opens, revealing the villain.
"The Challenge... what an interesting concept. A TV show with such potential for negative emotion. Oh, the destructive mayhem we could cause..." Hawk Moth smiles.
TVi Studio
While Nino is performing for the mayor, Simon Grimault arrives. Adrien waves at him and he in return tries to shake Adrien's hand, but Adrien's bodyguard shields Adrien and stands protectively in front of him, shocking the girls.
"No! It's okay!" Adrien assured Placide as he held him back.
"Well, he sure takes his job seriously." Lily muttered to Chloé and Sabrina.
Meanwhile, while Nino continued to DJ, André was nodding to the beat.
"Victory!" Alec proclaimed when he saw this. "Challenge conquered by Nino. You moved your head to the beat, Mayor Bourgeois! That counts as dancing!"
"What?! That's not true! My neck was... itching, that's all." André lied.
"Relieving an itch to the beat counts as dancing, too!" Alec countered.
The girls quietly giggled at the Mayor's statement.
"Nino, congratulations. You'll return in one week to meet your next challenge!" Alec says while Nino walks off the stage. "And now, for our next contestant, welcome Simon Grimault!"
"Awesome, dude!" Adrien praised his best friend, fist-bumping him.
"You're a great DJ Nino, you're gonna make it far." Sabrina smiled at the boy.
"Thanks, Sabrina." Nino blushes.
"Mr. Grimault, you are a hypnotist. You use cards to hypnotize people to get what you want from them." Alec remarked.
"Well, yes, I'm a hypnotist. But, uh, I don't use my skills to get anything." Simon responded, holding up his cards.
"So, your challenge today, Simon, is to use your talents to bring a very elusive celebrity to this very TV set! Give it up for Gabriel Agreste!" Alec proclaimed.
Gabriel's stoic face showed up on the screen. "What is this show? I was told this was an interview."
"Dude, your dad!" Nino said to Adrien.
"Uh-oh..." Chloé and Sabrina whispered, worriedly.
"This isn't going to end well." Lily chewed on her lip nervously.
"Do your thing, Grimault, let's see if you can bring Mr. Agreste here with your hypnotic persuasion!" Alec voiced.
"I told you; I don't make people-"
"If you don't hypnotize people, then why are you here?"
Simon stammered while Alec was perplexed.
"Your show is pathetic. And so is your contestant. Control me? Never." With that, Gabriel ended the transmission.
"That's my dad, alright." Adrien pronounced.
"Yeah." Lily, Chloé, Sabrina and Nino agreed.
"Looks like Mr. Agreste has turned on your challenge. Game over!" Alec rendered.
"But... that's not fair! I didn't even get time to..." Before he can say anything else, Simon was led off the stage and out of the studio.
"No offense Adrien, but your dad's pretty harsh." Sabrina remarked.
"None taken." Adrien frowned.
"I'm going to the bathroom really quick, okay?" Lily whispered to Chloé.
Chloé nodded, knowing where Lily was going to go, "Good luck."
Lily nodded and headed off after Simon. She went into a supply closet and Tikki came out of her purse.
"Quick, Tikki, Spots On!" Lily said.
Tikki was absorbed into the earrings and Lily was transformed into Lady Scarlet.
Hawk Moth's Lair
"Yes. Humiliation and anger. The perfect elements for transforming a poser into a winner." Hawk Moth turns a butterfly into an Akuma. "Fly away, my little Akuma, and evilize him!"
Outside of TVi Studio
Meanwhile, outside the studio, Simon drops his cards to the floor, crestfallen. An Akuma was coming towards his cards...until a yo-yo came out of nowhere and captured it. Simon jumped back in surprise and looked to see Lady Scarlet with her yo-yo.
"Gotcha!" Lady Scarlet smiled and opened her yo-yo, releasing the purified Akuma, "So long, butterfly." Then she opened her yo-yo again and took out a magical charm. It was painted lime green on the left side while it was painted purple on the right side. It had black spots with white outlines.
Lady Scarlet walked over to Simon and held her hand out to him. He took her hand and helped him to his feet.
"Thank you, Lady Scarlet." Simon thanked her.
"No problem. It's a good thing that I caught that Akuma before it got to you." Lady Scarlet assured him. Then she noticed the frown on his face, "Something wrong?"
"I lost my chance at becoming a famous hypnotist." Simon admitted.
"There will be other chances. Don't let just one failure bring you down. You just have to keep trying is all." Lady Scarlet advised. She gathered Simon's cards and held the deck to him.
Simon frowned and then smiled as he gently took the deck from her, "Thank you, Lady Scarlet."
Lady Scarlet smiled as she took his other hand and placed the magical charm in it, "Don't give up."
Simon nodded, "I won't." He promised.
Then Lady Scarlet yo-yoed away.
Hawk Moth's Lair
"Foiled once again!" Hawk Moth growled, "This isn't over. I will get your Miraculouses, Lady Scarlet and Noir! You'll pay for this. Next time... I won't fail."
The window closes, surrounding the room in darkness with the light of the butterflies illuminating in the room.
Inside TVi Studio
Lily entered the studio quietly let out a sigh of relief as she went over and stood next to Chloé.
"Caught the Akuma?" Chloé whispered.
"Yeah. He should be fine now." Lily whispered back.
"That's good." Chloé whispered with relief.
The girls along with Adrien and Nino watched the rest of the rest with different contestants. Soon enough, it was Nino's turn again.
"Okay, let's welcome Nino back again. Come on out, DJ Nino!" Alec announced.
Lily, Adrien and Chloé fist-bumped Nino for encouragement while Sabrina hugs him in excitement. The said boy smiles as he goes up stage.
"So, we upped the challenge for you tonight, Nino. You're gonna have to get two celebrities dancing instead of one! However, this time, you can choose your opponents." Alec informs.
"Oh, I've got this one in the bag. I'm gonna pick two buds I know won't let me down. My two friends Adrien and Lily!" Nino exclaims.
Lily and Adrien exchange glances before grinning excitedly as they both ran up to the stage.
"You got this, guys!" Chloé and Sabrina beamed as they start videoing the scene with their phones.
