Appearance:
Ashur has medium wavy, jet-black hair that's usually half-up with a leather cord, and hazel-brown eyes. On the leather cord is a small copper bead, hand-hammered and stamped with a tiny star. This bead has oxidized slightly since he started wearing it, though it doesn't oxidize anymore since Everest is preventing it; it hasn't undone the oxidation that has already occurred. On occasion, he will wear a small feather either behind his ear or secured by his leather cord as a way to remind him of Liberty after her passing. One last thing: Ashur often washes his hair with a citrus shampoo or something else with that scent. He, in fact, makes it, which is a lemon and tangerine fusion of some sort.
Spring/Summer:
In the warmer seasons, Ashur wears a wrap-style cotton short-sleeved shirt in a warm, muted terracotta. It wraps across his chest and ties at his right hip with two thin, braided cotton cords. The color sits open, just showing a hint of collarbone, while the hem falls just below his hips, and the sleeves are cut wide to allow easy movement. Then he wears wide-leg, high-waisted pants in a dry sand color. It has internal drawstrings at the waist, deep side pockets, a single back pocket, and falls just above the ankle. Finally, he wears handcrafted leather sandals in a warm but undyed tan. The straps are wide and soft, crossing over the top of his foot, and a leather cord is tied around his ankles.
His accessories include a cardigan, a bola tie, and a cuff bracelet.
First, his cardigan, which is lightweight and often buttoned, is loose with a textured weave. It's a deep but warm creaming, making it look close to a sun-bleached bone. The knitting of his cardigan is open enough to let air through on hot days but provides just enough warmth on cool evenings. Lastly, it falls just to his mid-thighs with its buttons being a copper and a small star in the middle of the top one.
Next is his handcrafted bola tie, which lies at the open collar. It's made out of a dark brown leather that's been braided with a decorative centerpiece, a hammered copper disk roughly the size of a silver dollar. The surface is textured where it was hammered, rather than smooth, with a stamped star in the center. And finally, a tiny matching copper aglet completes the bola tie nicely. The bola tie was made by Everest, and he got Sterling to teach him how to make it.
Finally, he has a singular copper cuff bracelet, wide and hammered the same way, on his left wrist. On the outer surface, it's stamped with a star pattern, making it look like the night sky, which he loves. Underneath, however, shows something that's more significant to him. It's a delicate ink drawing of a dove cradled in a hand, sealed with a thin layer of clear resin. Sterling couldn't put a complete drawing of Liberty on the bracelet as he could with his other children, so he made an ink drawing that symbolized her. The hands could be Liberty herself, cradling the dove with kindness and love, just as she does with all her children. But the dove could also mean her, as Sterling always called her 'Little Dove'. Either way, this drawing is a reminder to Ashur that even if Liberty is no longer here. The kindness and love she gave are always there.

Fall/Winter:
During the colder seasons, Ashur wears a long-sleeved Henley in mid-weight cotton, a nice warm sandstone color. The cotton, though not heavy, is substantial enough for winter, breathable, and still provides warmth. On the collar is a three-button placket which he almost always leaves completely unfastened, with its sleeves cuffed loosely at his wrists, allowing his copper cuff to be seen. Next, he wears similar mid-weight wool-blend pants in warm sand. The front has a simple button closure and deep side pockets. The fabric is soft, straight, and falls just above his ankles. Next, his ankle-high boots are made of leather that's been oiled in a rich tobacco color. The boots lace up with leather cords threaded through small copper eyelets, while the soles are thick but flexible, providing traction without the bulk of heavy winter boots. Finally, he wears tin wool socks in a simple white color.
His accessories are a cardigan, vest, bola tie, and copper cuff.
His bola tie and copper cuff match, so let's start with the cardigan. The cardigan is lightweight and open-front, in a charcoal-gray wool-cotton blend. Unlike most of his siblings, Ashur doesn't wear heavy clothing, so he keeps his cardigan open even when it snows. Next is his wool vest. He only wears this vest when temperatures truly drop low for him, and just adds a sleeveless wool vest in a deep, rich brown. The vest is quilted in a simple diamond pattern, then filled with a thin layer of wool batting. Ashur is very protective, though this is true for everyone in his family. Ashur is the most protective among them. He isn’t afraid to fight off someone or even get revenge if needed. Just one little movement that signals a threat. He will recognize them as the enemy and will engage them properly.
Ashur is probably the most friendly out of his siblings. His siblings, who represent the southern states, may be as friendly as their states are. However, Ashur is more than just that and will continue to interact with others if needed. He often goes out to find those in need and helps them. He is affectionate to everyone, especially to his family. Of course, that’s as long as they don’t hurt the people he loves. He is also very social and easygoing to the point where people tend to relax around him, even those who have recognized him as their enemy.
Ashur is a catty person. This means he is very spiteful or malicious to others. This is mainly towards his biological parents, and he often thinks up ways to get back at them. He wants to hurt those who hurt his family, just like how they did, or maybe even worse. Sterling Love (Adopted Father, America)- When Ashur met Sterling, it was about two, maybe three years after María tossed them away. Though this was a request from Alister to Sterling to find him and his other siblings. Ashur, however, didn't want to accept him right away, but unfortunately, he had no choice at the time. Ashur has just lost his third wife. He couldn't find anyone to help him take care of himself, especially since his siblings were out somewhere taking care of their own children. Liberty Love (Adopted Mother) - Ashur doesn't know what it feels like to have a mother love you. He saw how his friends' mother treated their own children, and yet María couldn't even do that towards him. So when Alister, María's favorite child, decided not to do anything with their mother. She just tossed them away. So when Sterling had finally found him and took him in. Ashur became very suspicious of them, especially towards Liberty. Thankfully, his other siblings, except for Alister at the time, were with him. Though he wanted to keep a distance from her and Sterling, as time continued to flow forward. Their view of them has changed.

Dixie Love (Uncle, Confederate)- Ashur and Dixie don't really have anything going on with each other. Ashur may have only been in the family for a little over a century, but they don't really do anything together. Of course, this isn't completely true, really, but they just don't hang out as much as the others. Even during the whole Civil War, when he did meet the man. He didn't do anything. This is mostly because he wasn't part of the southern states, even though Alister ended up being a part of it. And he is part of the southwest along with Ashur. Though he was the one to help Everest save Dixie, on what could have been his death.
