Appearance:
Dezi has thick, fizzy hair that's cut about to his chin, with his bangs being longer. His bangs are parted down the middle, making a 'curtain' that he can hide behind, per se. He styles it with either a light mousse or salt spray, then just air-dries it. He occasionally pushes the 'curtains' back from his face, a habit. His steel-blue eyes are quite sharp. However, he doesn't look at people. Often looking around at other things rather than the person themselves. Spring/Summer Outfit:
Dezi wears a simple, slightly worn cotton t-shirt in a sage green or a dusty, muted blue. However, the colors have faded over the years as they have been hung on the clothesline to dry. On his shirt is a small chest pocket where he puts a pencil stub and a folded scrap of paper with whatever lines he is trying to memorize. During early spring, or on cooler mornings and evenings. He wears a lightweight and lightly oversized cardigan that's usually in soft, faded charcoal. It looks like it's a hand-me-down or just found at a thrift store, since its buttons are mismatched, with two replaced by something slightly different.
His pants are loose-fit, soft canvas in a weathered brown. It's held by a simple brown leather that's darkened with age. Lastly, he wears a pair of simple leather work boots that are very much worn down. On warmer days, he will wear simple leather sandals. As for his accessories, he has a simple wristband with a thin, braided leather cord around one wrist, in dark brown but faded over the years. This was made by his sister, Kelda, as a slight connection between them as artists in their own right. His pockets usually contain items he found. Most of the time, it's items that someone lost, and he just keeps them in there until he finds the owner. He also has a worn, soft canvas bucket hat in a muted olive. He just has this to keep the sun out of his eyes while reading, though half the time he forgets about it. Then lastly, he has a small, worn leather journal that he carries in his back pocket or in his canvas bag. Inside, it has his father's sketch of his mother on the back pages. Autumn/Winter Outfit:
Dezi wears a long-sleeved thermal in a soft, heathered oatmeal brown. The fabric is very soft, slightly faded, and extremely comfortable. Though sometimes he does wear a Henley in a deep forest green with its buttons simple mother-of-pearl, one of which has been replaced and is a different color. Then he wears a thick, but oversized, cream-colored wool sweater. It was made by Liberity just before she passed away, and thanks to Everest, it won't be destroyed but will repair itself. The texture is uneven, with simple cables running down the arms, and its collar is slightly stretched, with cuffs softly frayed. Dezi wears thick cotton pants in a warm charcoal. They are well-worn, having faded at the knees and seat, but are still warm and sturdy. On winter days, he wears a long, forest-green wool coat. It reaches just above his knees as it's just a simple coat. The pockets are very deep and quite useful to him, as he often finds lost items. Next is his long but soft scarf. The scarf is made with grey-blue wool. He usually has it wrapped around his neck several times and either lets it hang or tucks the ends in. Sometimes, when he is alone, he could push it up to his face and smell it. To him, it smells like home, and it seemed to remind him of his dead mother. On top of his head is a simple but slightly slouchy beanie in a warm charcoal. He has it pulled over his ears with a bit of his copper bangs peaking out. Next, he has a pair of fingerless gloves in deep green wool that's made the same way as his sweater. He prefers fingerless gloves so he can turn pages, sketch in his journal, and pick up found objects. He also still has his leather journal.
Personality:
Similar to his sister, Kelda, he is very artistic. However, that’s really the only similar thing between them. Unlike Kelda, who does music, painting, and cooking. Dezi does statues and plays. The statues are mainly made of some kind of metal, as he loves a certain kind of difficulty, but he also finds stones, especially really hard ones, even better. He does play quite a bit, mainly Shakespeare and Ancient Greek stories.
Another thing he and Kelda share is their politeness. Though Kelda’s politeness is a bit different, she shows respect and consideration for others' situations. Dezi shows this only to people he actually deserves it. He can be a bit rude and disrespectful towards others if they decide to do something that’s just a bit rude to him as well. This is especially true if their rude comment is towards his family.
Dezi is a very cowardly person. He is very timid around others and has difficulty talking to them. Often keeping to himself when others are talking to him, especially to his family. He is often targeted by bullies; as a result, he tends to huddle with his siblings when he can. Sterling is trying to help him open up to his siblings, but without success. Though it is a good thing, he will open up to him and his mother.
Dezi’s job around the house is finding objects or whatever their siblings have lost. He has a tendency to find missing objects and, somehow, their owners. He always gives back the object to the owner, even if that object is money. He can also get signed copies of books, which his siblings take advantage of.
Relationship:
Sterling Love (Father, America)- Dezi loves his father. It's just that he is jealous of how close some of his siblings are, especially with Beau (DC), Aster, Kanani, the Military Branches, and the organizations. Animals:
Black Bear (State Mammal)
Dezi has the ears and tail of a black bear, which, of course, are black. He has good eyesight, but only up close, not far. He has the worst eyesight, unlike Everest (New Mexico), Maol (Louisiana), and Leolin (West Virginia). He also isn't territorial among them. He is a great climber and swimmer. Continuing the tree climbing, he can climb up to 100 feet in one go. He is also very agile and can run up to 30 miles per hour. Dezi has a great sense of smell, and his siblings have to keep an eye on him so he doesn't try to eat the food while it's cooking.
Yellowhammer (State Bird)
Dezi has brown wings with black bars and a yellow underbelly, and tail feathers in the same color. Dezi loves a good duel, but not to the death unless there is no other way. He often challenges his siblings, usually with swords. Yes, Sterling has tried to stop them many times, but unfortunately, his words are ignored. He also loves wood and often walks in the forest near his house. He usually asks his father for something, and they always end up doing something to do with wood. Dezi is also someone who prefers to be a stay-at-home dad and take care of his children for his lover.
West Indian Manatee (State Marine Mammal)
Dezi has a grey tail and some webbing in between his toes and hands. However, if he goes into the water in this animal state, his legs will become a tail, making a mermaid of some sort intellectually...? But unlike some of his siblings, he can't control it, so he doesn't use this state animal as much. Dezi can drive really deep and stay down there for quite a while, but he lacks speed in the water. This makes him extra careful, so he doesn't stay down there too long. He also makes different vocal sounds, though he tends to do so toward the women he's in love with rather than toward his own family. Dezi also has excellent hearing, and when I mean good, I mean good. He can hear a simple pen drop from the other side of the house, and this is also why he can't sleep like an animal.
Largemouth Bass (Freshwater State Fish)
Dezi has an olive-green tail with black bands on both sides, and his dorsal and tail fins are green, slightly darker, and transparent near the ends. Like the bass (they can recognize what kind of lure to avoid), Dezi can recognize different traps almost instinctively, with the training Sterling did. Dezi can now identify most traps in old and newer versions. He can also hear sounds that others can't. Dezi also tends to be in a group with his siblings—the more the merrier.
Just like the bass, Dezi can adapt quite well. This is mainly true in the water. It doesn't matter if it's clear or muddy, cold or warm, shallow or deep. He also ends up lazy or even uninterested, though this is mainly towards food, and he hates it with the fiber of his body. Speaking of food, his eating habits change depending on the temperature outside. If it's warm, he will eat more, but if it's cold, he will eat less. Just like his siblings, when he enters the water, his legs and tail turn into one, making him look like he's a merman. However, this is true of any of his siblings who have a state fish.
Fighting Tarpon (Saltwater State Fish)
Dezi has a silvery tail with a blueish tint on top, and black dorsal and tail fins. His dorsal fin is very long and can almost reach his tail. He is also strong, though he isn't the strongest. (I can't find any information about this except for how strong and huge they can get.)
Alabama Red-Bellied Cooter (State Reptile)
Dezi has a tail of the cooter but doesn't really have a shell, also known as the casapace and plastron. However, he can make it appear. The carapace or the top of the shell is black with red on the side, and the plastron or the bottom of the shell is also red with a bit of black here and there near the middle. Since this turtle is a freshwater species, Dezi can only be in freshwater when he has the animal parts. He typically prefers eating vegetables and fruits over meat.
Racking Horse (State Horse)
Dezi has a blue dun coat on his ears and tail, while his tail fur is copper-brown, like his hair. Dezi is quite intelligent and versatile, with a gentle disposition. (Unfortunately, there isn't much I could find about this breed. I could have put the Tennessee Walking Horse as that's their ancestor, but they are classified as different breeds nowadays.)
Brown Shrimp (State Crustacean)
Dezi has a brown tail and fins, with two long antennas on his head that go back. He can blend in with his surroundings, though it isn't very useful, as it only affects his tail and antennas, then his whole body. He is also very sleepy in the day but active at night. His antennas can sense food and his environment.

Monarch Butterfly (State Insect)
Dezi has black wings with vibrant orange and white spots along the edges and two antennas. Also, because Dezi is male, he has two dots on his bottom wings. Just like the butterfly, Dezi is poisonous and tends to run, climb, or otherwise expend any excess energy.
