「妳為甚麼喜歡這個？妳又不抽菸。」

女孩手裡捏著銀製防風打火機，用像是第一次見到櫥窗裡擺的寶石一般的眼神仔細端看著。

「不知道，不過這樣我就有喜歡的東西了，沒有人會跟我搶。」

「為甚麼？」

「因為該有的人都有了呀。」

我不以為意地聳聳肩。「說不定我叼著菸卻忘了帶打火機？」

「那頂多只會隨意找個只有老伯在看店的雜貨店借個火，才不會跟我搶這個。」

她說的有點道理，我一時不知道該怎麼反駁。況且我為甚麼要反駁呢？不知道。人有時候會不明白自己做事的緣由，但卻已經那麼做了。

「為甚麼是雜貨店？」我不死心，換了一個方向反問她。

「因為老伯不會在乎打火機油剩下多少，只要今晚8點會按照順序播出第1996集連續劇，他的人生就會繼續下去。」

打火機，老伯，連續劇。

我從深藍色紙盒裡抽出一根Peace叼在嘴邊，她墊起腳尖拇指擦過齒輪，為雪白的紙管點燃橘紅色的星火。
