I just realized how far I’ve come. Just 10 years ago, I was 5 years old and working in the fields because we had no money. The field(s) were huge and sometimes almost took us the entire day to work. Child labor is legal in my country since we’re super poor. I remember how we barely had money for food and when my uncle brought meat for us one time, we chowed down on it like it was our last meal. It really felt like our last meal, I woke up everyday wondering how much longer this would go on for. When I look back at those times, I see how I’ve built up since then. I think we take things for granted most of the time, we should be grateful for what we have.
