I tried to unravel the story - to make sense of what you said.
I pulled out a pinboard and connected pictures with red thread;
I stabbed a pin through the paper chest of the man you called dead,
the missing man I searched forever for, only to find bloodshed.
You said you saw a bullet through his head,
You said when I had a lead on you, I was mislead -
Red thread pooled on the floor,
Stretched across the room, blocking the door,
And do you know what it lead to? Do you know what I saw,
When I unravelled the story, that shocked me to my core?
You said you saw a bullet through his head,
Said you watched as a stranger shot him dead,
But instead,
I draw the thread around the room and place my final pin
upon your name.
