Chapter 1: The Boy Who Entered

Rain poured heavily across the city.

Thunder shook the streets.

But sixteen-year-old Riyan didn’t care.

He ran through the storm, breathing hard, clutching his backpack tightly.

Behind him, distant voices shouted his name.

“RIYAN!”

He turned the corner quickly, hiding between broken walls and rusted gates.

His heart pounded violently.

“They won’t find me…” he whispered.

Then—

He saw it.

An old house standing silently at the end of the road.

Dark.

Abandoned.

Waiting.

Lightning flashed across the sky.

And for one second—

Riyan saw someone standing near the window upstairs.

Watching him.

His stomach tightened.

But the rain grew worse.

The streets behind him echoed with approaching footsteps.

“I just need somewhere to hide…”

He stepped toward the house.

The front door was already open.

Slowly—

Riyan entered.

The smell of dust and old wood filled the air.

The house was freezing cold.

“Hello…?” he called nervously.

No answer.

Only silence.

Then—

creak…

Riyan froze.

The sound came from deeper inside the house.

He followed it carefully.

Step by step.

Until he reached the room.

And saw the chair.

Old dark wood.

Beautiful.

Terrifying.

But he wasn’t alone.

A girl stood beside it.

She looked around his age.

Long dark hair.

Pale skin.

Empty eyes.

Yet her smile felt strangely warm.

“Are you hiding too?” she asked softly.

Riyan swallowed nervously. “Y-Yeah…”

The girl tilted her head slightly.

“You’re safe here.”

Something about her voice made his fear disappear.

Just a little.

“What is this place?” he asked.

The girl looked at the chair.

“A place where people see the truth.”

The room suddenly felt colder.

Riyan laughed nervously. “That sounds creepy.”

The girl smiled wider.

“It is.”

Thunder shook the house.

The lights flickered.

Riyan stepped back slightly.

For one brief second—

He thought he saw darkness moving behind the girl.

Like shadows breathing around her.

But then it vanished.

“My name is Riyan,” he said quietly.

The girl stared at him silently.

Almost like she had forgotten her own name.

Then softly—

Very softly—

She answered:

“…Aanya.”

And somewhere deep inside the endless darkness—

The trapped real Aanya heard her own name.

And opened her eyes.
